Great fit with excellent airflow
I have the Olympia Expedition jacket, which has mesh panels that you have to unzip to expose, It also has a rain jacket and thermal liner that you can zip in for cooler and wet weather. It is the perfect jacket for early spring, late fall and winter riding, as well as longer trips through changing climates. However It just did not have enough ventilation for The extremely hot and humid climate of North Carolina in the middle of summer. I was dying in it when riding down the interstate and the temperature read 100 degrees. So I bought this jacket because I loved the previous jacket's fit and features, and this jacket is perfect so far. This jacket is almost all mesh, and made with a very tough Cordura fabric. It comes with a removable rain jacket as well. Many pockets to place a cell phone, chapstick whatever. It has wrist adjustments, Sleeve adjustments and Zippers on both sides of the waist to either open it up a little more for a looser fit or closed for a tighter fit. The waist adjustment straps around the back act the same way, and its great to be able to adjust the fit of the jacket in so many different ways.
I got the medium, I used the measurement chart offered by revzilla, I was between a medium and large and it suggests going with the smaller size, which I did, and It fits perfectly.
As for airflow, it is great, It's not gonna keep you from getting hot when the weather is unbearably hot as it is right now, but it keeps air moving, I don't get as sweaty, and overall it is a lighter jacket so I don't feel weighed down when it is suffocatingly hot outside.
I definitely recommend this product!

Great fit for curvy women. Very comfortable. True to size.
I am athletic with curves. Always had difficult time due to broader back and larger on top. Ordered L and it fit perfectly based on sizing. I recommend if you are in between sizes you order down. This is a very comfortable jacket, no restrictions. I live in Texas and was comfortable in high 80s. My husband said this jacket looks very stylish. I would not hesitate to buy again!

Keeps you COOL!
I am in love with this jacket. I am a VERY hot-natured person, and this jacket is exactly what I needed. I wore it all last season, up through cool October mornings, and was comfortable even in 45-degree weather with a hoodie on underneath and the jacket liner in.

I like that this jacket (as with most Olympia stuff, I've found) is more American cut and true to size, I am 5'3" 135lbs and a small fit me great, although the arms are a bit snug if I have a thick sweater on underneath, but it's not uncomfortable.

I feel comfortable in this jacket knowing I have a lot of protection in the areas I need it most, and also can stay cool because of the mesh panels. Is it the most stylish jacket you can buy? No. Does it have a crap-ton of awesome features and is a really good, protective piece? YES.

Love it!
I love, love, love this jacket! The fit is perfect. I was deciding between a medium and large and based on other reviews decided on the medium. It's a perfect fit and I can were a hoodie or light weight down jacket for extra warmth. I'm 5'4", 149, broad shouldered and busty. So I was pleased to fit into a medium. I ride a scooter in San Francisco as my main means of transportation. I worked in the ER for over 10 years which is why I over compensate on my gear compared to other scooter riders!
You will not be disappointed with this jacket.

Great versatile jacket.
I bought this as a starter jacket for riding with my bf on his adventure touring bike and for going out on my dual sport bike.
Pros:
- The fit is great and the jacket has good air flow with the liner/rainproof layer removed.
- I like the liner/windbreaker option for inside and outside the jacket; helps to keep warm in the cool mornings and it's great to be able to remove it as the day warms up. Looking forward to having flexible layering options for our Minnesota weather.

Fit: for reference, I'm 5'3" and 115-118 lbs. I bought the extra small and it was the right way to go. I can wear a thin base layer and thin jacket with the liner inside the jacket. It's a bit snug, but if I needed more room, I figure I could put the liner on the outside. The adjustable waste straps and arm straps help customize sizing.

Cons:
- The velcro on the arm straps keeps coming undone and scratchy bits are making the mesh on the front and sides of the jacket pill. I'm going to have to stitch them together or affix a snap to keep them from coming undone and mucking up the mesh.
- Aesthetics: I think the front design of the jacket is great, with curves to match the female frame, but the back has a very linear/rectangular design that doesn't match the front and isn't altogether flattering, imo. Not a functional problem, just seems like they should find a style and stick with it.
- He mentions this on the video, but I'll reiterate, the rainproof layer is black doesn't have any reflective piping, so if you wear it on the outside, you'll lose out on some visibility.

All in all, the cons are pretty minor in comparison to the pros for this jacket. I would definitely recommend the Switchback to a friend.

Great for high visibility and style.
This jacket style is a shorter style than others which allowed me to get a smaller size since I wasn't trying to zip it around my belly. I was looking for high-vis and was happy to find a jacket that met what I was looking for. I am very pleased.

A long search to find this jacket
This jacket took me a long time to find. After a few failures in locating a jacket that fit me well and was comfortable, I found the Olympia Switchback.
As a female who rides her own bike, I had a challenge in front of me. First off, the jackets available to women is very slim. When going into shops, there were jackets that were basically a joke. No protection and what someone considered style. I tried on a lot of men's jackets hoping to find something that would fit my body. Nothing. As a 5'4 138 pound athletic woman, I could not find a jacket. Thankful, RevZilla has great reviews that are true to the product. So that was the process, now the jacket.
The fit is great overall. It has a great hourglass cut. The ability to adjust and customize the fit to my body. It has body armor, which many women's jackets did not offer. However, the body armor in this jacket is very stiff and uncomfortable. I will be replacing it. I am also not pleased with the velcro on the jacket. It does not have good staying power. I am very pleased with the mesh breathability of this jacket and that it comes with a waterproof liner. The neck closure is also very comfortable.
Overall, I feel like this jacket was made for a woman who rides her own motorcycle. I feel safe, seen and comfortable.

Runs a little small
The jacket is very stylish without being too frilly. I have broad shoulders, and it is snug across them and my chest area, limiting my arm movement somewhat. I cannot wear the windbreaker/waterproof jacket under due to this. The windbreaker is also quite noisy-'Crunchy". I also found the shoulder protecters to shift in their pocket and need to be placed in position frequently - may need to sew them in place. As far as air-flow, it's not the best. I ride in Yuma, AZ, and until this quite pricy jacket was purchased, I wore a man's medium jacket that fit better overall and was cooler. I chose this jacket for the high visibility feature - for this feature and styling I'd give 5 stars, but due to the above observations, overall rating would be between 3-4 stars.

Comfortable and good value
Olympia sizing is great for Americans. I got a size L, which fits me very comfortably and is quite flattering to my 5'-5", 159 lb, 36 DDD figure. It has lots of adjustability, with waist tabs that can be cinched down, and wonderful zippers to adjust the fullness at the hip. I open them for airflow when it is hot, and close them down when it is chilly. The shoulders and arms easily accommodate different riding positions, and arm tabs also provide a customized fit and keep the armor in the right places. I got the HiViz yellow/green, which works well with my Bell HiViz helmet. I do wish it had more areas of HiViz. With the weather changing, I am looking for warm winter jackets, and Olympia is at the top of my list for consideration.

I was looking for a textile jacket that had rainproof capability and already had all the armor in it. Also looking for a nice feminine cut for my thin frame. The inside/outside liner option seemed like a good solution for rainproofing and layering. The overall design is very versatile, which I appreciate, and the price was reasonable.

Eric at Revzilla was a great help with sizing. He recommended this Olympia jacket with US fit (vs European under-sizing) for my fuller figure. Had previously looked at AVG Xena Mesh and Firstgear Mesh Contour, but the sizing on those were always on the small size. Watched the helpful video on Olympia products and stopped balking with my purchase -- ordered it!

what is the difference in venting and waterproof-ness between the womens Switchback and the Airglide?
A shopper on Apr 22, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Hi, I don't think there is a big difference. I actually returned the Switchback and bought the Airglide which I kept. They are very similar, but the difference is the length. I preferred the longer length of the Airglide which I would think would provide a little more coverage for the rain, but both have great venting for hot weather.
