Favourite ADV boot
This is the 2nd set of the same TCX boots I've purchased. Very light and super comfortable when broke in. I wear size 12 and they are slightly narrow but it's not an issue. Been wearing my old pair about a year and still feel solid and the sole is very grippy. I wear them nearly every day, being a motorcycle test rider they add safety and comfort and can be used on a variety of bikes without issues with gearshift or brake feel concerns. Last December I rode through about 250 miles of cold heavy rain on my BMW R1200GSA in CA on my way to RawHyde Adventures. Feet were dry and still not too cold wearing wool socks riding in 38 degree temps with fresh snow on the hills. I now have a brand new pair as back up. TCX should NEVER Closeout the Infinity Evo Gore Tex boots.

Dual Sport finds it's comfort level.
Let me begin by saying I rarely review so soon after purchasing a product but I had such a difficult time deciding on this boot I felt I could help others by sharing the good the bad and the ugly.

Ok I'm not really fining anything ugly but the Good is really good and that is the comfort and easy of moving from the first time you put them on. This is relative to size and I'm going right away to that. One of the most tough parts of ordering was the somewhat conflicted information on sizing and fit. I wear a size 42 Euro for my size 9M American foot in almost every moto boot I've bought. Dainese, Rev'it , TCX you name it the 42 always works and for some reason I thought I should go by the chart and get the 43 because of the conficted reviews I read and figured if I was going to add a fresh footbed after purchase and wear thick socks I better not get a snug fitting boot and TCX listed the 42 as an 8.5 and I already had to send back one pair of the newest Rev'it because I ordered the 42 and it was too tight.

Well forget all that , if you are a size 9 medium you will love the fit of the 42 , Trust me.... This boot fits like it was made for me and even a bit snug after adding my own footbed to increase the arch and soften the room interior a bit.

So pro's are the broken in feel out of the box.
The supple leather making it so not stiff after only a bit of walking about
The cool design overall gives it a handsome look (subjective)
The tread by Michelin is just fun and practical and well cool.
The water proof liner inspires confidence but brings me to the first con.
These boots do NOT breath. Your feet WILL sweat in the summer. I've decided these will be my go to winter all weather boot for riding my scrambler and my GS in colder wet weather and probably not wear them that much in summer. Spring and Fall we'll see but when it's ninety Farenheight and your one a scrambler with pips rubbing your boots it won't be pretty.

Now one thing that was a surprise. The latches were described as Aluminum and they appear to me to be resin and the mechanism for adjusting doesn't look too promising for long term durability. That you can buy replacements is one reason I went with the TCX over the similar styled Dianesse version.

I can't say I'm sorry and definitely wont be sending them back as they are just plain comfortable to a great deal more than any boot I've had even my Dianesse Fulcrum which I have two pair but which are truly water proof and BREA?HABLE.. They say these are waterproof but the are Not breathable for sure. so Caveat Emptor if you want and not too wide amazing comfortable walk about wanna be adventure boot for those GS riders and Scramblers who really don't go too deep in the dirt and rocks or single track these will be a great cool wether touring boot with a lot of safety and style. Overall a decent boot for the dough.

Can't wait until they break in, quite stiff.
I replaced a pair of gore-tex boots that were extremely comfortable, but after 5 years and more than 30k miles, it was time to replace them. After that amount of time they had become so comfortable that I was wary of trying another brand (or even getting new boots), but the previous pair was not a dual sport boot and their traction was not as good as I now require.

They are great looking boots (to me) and the aluminum buckles seem like they will be long lasting (and replaceable).

I did replace the lackluster insole provided with the boot to one that provides better arch support and comfort. For a relatively expensive boot I would have expected a better insole, but figure the manufacturer knows people will replace them with their preferred brand.

This morning they got their first ride and their stiffness made riding fairly uncomfortable when shifting and the thickness of the boot's sole muted the feeling of the bike itself when braking, etc.. Again, my last pair of boots are thoroughly broken in. I'm sure it'll get better, but this initial ride was rather disconcerting. I may replace my shifter for one that gives me a little more room between the foot peg and shifter peg.

The tread pattern of the Michelin rubber sole feels like it will be long lasting, provide good traction, and be comfortable for walking around during stops.

The weather this morning was around 90F and humid (for Phoenix) and the boots were HOT. I'm sure they'll be fine for most of the year here in the desert, but I'll have to find another solution for summer (100F+) riding.

I do feel that these boots will work quite well for daily riding (in winter months) as well as my annual two week, 4,000+ mile rides through hot, cold, and wet regions.

They are not as wide as I had expected based on one of the reviews, but they'll stretch out as they wear in and will gain the width to make them even more comfortable. Not sure how the same boot got both wide and narrow reviews, but it is definitely not as narrow as some I've tried on.

They do fit underneath a pair of bootcut jeans and also very well under my Klim riding pants.

I wear a size 11US and purchased the size 45EU boot which seems to be a good decision, knowing that they'll eventually stretch to handle my foot width.

Comfortable Protection
These boots require some walking to breakin. After that they are very comfortable. On a recent long trip with temperatures from 38 to 95 and through several hours of rain, the boots felt good, though my feet were getting hot and a little sweaty after a few hours at the higher temperature. While there is no air flow, this is good for me since it keeps out engine heat. The boots are easy to put on and fairly easy to take off. Fortunately I haven't tested their ability to protect in a crash. Having worn them less tan a year, I can't evaluate their durability.

So good
I cannot praise these boots enough. I've stood in cold flowing streams for minutes, feet remained absolutely warm and dry. I've had my f650gs fall on these on gravel and rocks, feet & ankles were unharmed. The Anakee soles grip everything they've come into contact with. I've hiked up rocks that would have had my hiking boots slipping, these remained firmly planted. The goretex breathes, they're comfortable as hell, you can pretty easily walk around in them all day. Not much more you could ask for. I tried on a few other boots (Sidi) before I went with these, and have zero regrets about dropping the $$. I did have to adjust my shift lever to accommodate the somewhat thicker toe height, but you'd have to do that on pretty much any adventure boot. I suppose your mileage could vary here, but to date this is the best bit of gear I've bought. Huge thumbs up.

These are very good, solid and comfortable boots. They were not very comfortable once I put them one just out of the box. They fit and feel great after two short rides may be about 200 miles in total. I have ridden only in the cold weather and they do keep your feet warm.
I look forward to test them during my trip to Colombia, where I will face rain and hot weather.

TCX Gore-Tex, great boot.
Needed a pair of Gore-Tex ADV boots. Came down to these, and the SIDI Adventure Gore-Tex. Having been a previous SIDI owner, I knew what to expect from them. Both of these boots are top end products, great fit and finish. I don't mind the "SIDI squeak", but not a fan of the plain jane Vibram sole. Wanted something different. The Anakee 3 sole on the TCX boots is awesome. Great traction and comfort on the pegs.
Overall boot is great, wish they made half sizes as I am a 45.5 in European sizing. Tried sizes 45 and 46, went with the 45. The 46 was just too big, and I expect the 45 to loosed up a tad more with use. Love these things!!

My Absolute Favorite Boot Period Don't Want To Take Them Off !
I have to say these are by far the Most comfortable boot I have ever worn, super protection & warm & dry with GorTex, Love them.

I have other top name motorcycle boots, but I always go back to these, I'm wearing the sool's down just a little, after 3 years now & I walk in them a lot, when I go on a trip, I never want to take them off , until night time, ready to park the bike and go to bed, they cost $$$ but your getting the very best foot protection, I had some road debrew fly up and get me in the leg, the boot saved my shine ! I was amazed at just how well they break in, they still have that leather squick from cam locks, you can adjust them tighter or loser, I ride a long distance, so I also recommend wearing compression shocks too.

I feel like the motorcycle boot is 2nd most important safty item, 1st is helmet , boots then good gloves ! in that order. Strange how so many people won't buy good boots, just wear tennie shoes ?

Performs as described
After reading the Revzilla review and several blogs I chose the TCX Infinity boots. I ride a Road Glide and a BMW GS so I wanted the boots to be versatile, comfortable, waterproof, and not aligned with just one bike's styling. I wear a size 9.5 medium width in work boots so I ordered the Euro size 43 and they fit nicely with no pinch points and a snug heel fit. I wore them around the house for a week before finalizing the purchase by wearing them on a ride. At first they were too stiff and I really had to work at proper foot control, but they're getting more flexible with each outing. The buckles work well, as does the upper velcro closure. I have not been in the rain with them yet, but if it wont rain because I'm wearing them, then this will have been the best purchase ever.

Finally a narrow boot!
I will start by saying I only did 4 stars because i have only worn them in the house so far. I'm writing this now because I had so much trouble finding a "adventure" style boot that fit. I have a size 9.5, narrow, low volume foot and a wimpy calf. I tried Gaerne G-midland ( was almost ok), Sidi Canyon ( way to big inside), Forma Adventure ( too big inside). All the boots were the correct length so I could not downsize. These TCX are the best. I will still need a custon footbed with a little more height than the original, just to take up a bit more inside space, but happy overall.

I kept these over the other adventure style boots I tried ( Sidi Canyon and Gaerne G-Midland) because they fit my narrow , low volume foot pretty good.

Need a boot that offers adequate protection without sacrificing breathability / air flow, important in an arid desert climate. These look to be comfortable enough off the bike for when I need to stretch or set-up camp.
Jonah M on Feb 25, 2016
I was debating between Sidi Adventure and these TCX boots. I am more touring oriented rider with ocasional gravel/ off-road, so I was looking for something that offers good protection and waterproof. I had some other TCX boots in the past, so this model become obvious choice.

How long have you had these boots? How tall are they? Can they be re-soled? Do they fit under a pair of jeans? Thanks.
Joseph D on Mar 22, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Ive had these 3 months.
From floor to top of boot is 14".
I don't know if you can resole... but it has the michelin tire sole... so I don't see how you'd need to resole...
They easily fit under boot cut jeans.
I have a narrow foot. Are these still for wide feet as the TCX sizing suggest?
A shopper on Jan 25, 2015
BEST ANSWER: I have pretty standard feet and they fit okay. They do have a tall toe box so they were kind of roomy in that area. They probably aren't great for narrow feet.
How stiff are these boots? How do they break in? How well can you feel the controls of your bike?
Colin S on May 28, 2015
BEST ANSWER: The boots are fairly stiff at first. I walked around in them for a few days, flexing my ankles up and down trying to loosen them up before trying them out on my bike. Still had some issues, particularly with upshifting. Part of the reason is the hardened protector that goes up over your ankle bones. It makes the break in period a bit longer and tougher than the plain leather boots I had before. However, as a trauma surgeon I have seen the consequenses of not having that protection which, not to to be too gory about it, have led to foot/ankle/lower leg amputations. That was the main reason I bought these boots. So all in all, it will take some time to break in the boots to the point where you don't have to consciously think about your ankle flex/shifting movements, but in the end I believe these boots are more safe and offer better protection, not only to your ankles but to your shins as well, than plain leather boots. The longer break in is worth it, in my opinion.
How wide is this boot? I have small wide (EEE) feet. Thanks
Alexander B on Sep 17, 2015
BEST ANSWER: My feet are 10.5 EEE and these boots are confortable, even with sheepskin insoles.
Do you have any interference with knee pads while walking?
turner p on Feb 19, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I am wearing these with Forcefield Pro Pants with Armor, and the top of the boot is just below the bottom of the knee armor. As for walking, I have been pleasantly surprised that I can walk in these really without any problem.... when I get back from a ride I will often not change out of my riding pants and Forcefield ProPants (that of course are under my regular pants) for a couple hours and these boots are fine. When I got them I did take a couple days to break them in before riding with them, by wearing them in the house for a couple days for 2 hours a day and walking in them plus bending my foot and ankle as much as possible to loosen them up a bit. I have to say, I am actually VERY happy with these boots!
How Squeaky is this boot compare to the Toucan?
A shopper on Oct 16, 2018
BEST ANSWER: I own a pair of both, and while the TCX's aren't the quietest boots I've ever worn they definitely don't squeak as badly as the Toucans.
will the boots stretch as they break in? I have other TCX boots in size 44 that are just a tad loose, but new these boots in size 43 seem just a bit tight.
James K on Jan 27, 2018
BEST ANSWER: I haven’t noticed stretching and they had a quick break in.
