These boots ROCK!
I have over 35,000 miles on these boots and I LOVE them. It's hard to imagine a boot that flows this much air to actually be water proof but trust me... they are!! I've eve walked through a river in them and had NO LEAKS until it got over the top of the boot (long story on this one)

Super comfortable, stylish, good protection for touring/commuting, etc...

I just picked up another pair of the original ones here on Cyber Monday and saved 100 bucks... get them, they are great!

Good quality boots
So far I have used these boots down to 34 degrees and up to 84 degrees. They were warm with a single pair or normal socks at 34 degrees, and to my surprise, not too hot at 84 degrees. Feet were warm, but not as much as I expected for this GTX boot, they do allow for air movement. Fit is large, I am a 43.5 size foot, and purchased size 44 in this boot. They run large, there is more than enough room and I could easily put on thick cold weather socks and still have enough room. Boots are comfortable for the short walks I have taken. Zipper is quality and works well, velcro fastens extremely well! I highly recommend these boots!

I normally wear a size 9
I normally wear a size 9 in sports and casual shoes. A Euro 42 is the best fit for me in this boot. I originally ordered a 43 and it was too loose in the heel cup. 42 fits much better.

I wore these from South FL to Front Royal VA to Cookeville TN and back home in 10 days. In one stretch it rained parts of five days in a row. It was a real pleasure to not have to change boots are wear plastic booties to have dry feet. They are comfortable, they breathe, and they are waterproof.

I don't wear race boots, so this is as much as I have ever paid for motorcycle footware. I think they are worth it. I am not hard on footware in general so I can see these lasting me three, four years, maybe longer. Given that type of longevity and the protection they provide made the purchase decision pretty easy.

You've heard it a thousand times...you get what you pay for. These are nice boots.

Great boot. Wish I had purchased them sooner.
Water proof, good height, great protection with the integral armour. I wish they had a little more tread for greasy pavement at intersections, but other than that, these are fantastic boots. I've worn them in 90° summer and the 32° fall, with no complaints.

great high quality boots
These boots are well made and comfortable. I am in Hawaii where it is hot and rains a lot. Temperature ranges from 85 on the beach to 60 on the mountain. The airflow is good for cooling in the heat and they are waterproof. Comfortable to walk in and fit is true to size. They are not narrow like some boots. They are pricy, but now I feel it was worth the cost.

Great waterproof boots at a great price!
These boots fit and feel great. I consider them a little narrow compared to my previous boots (BMW AirFlow) but that could because my old boots were well worn. My only complaint is the fit is a little tight on the top of my foot, but I have gotten used to this and it no longer is a concern. Also, the airflow is average because they are waterproof and don't have the vents like an airflow boot would have. The tall zipper and velcro flaps work very good and make it easy to get these on and off. For $250.00, I don't think you can beat these for commuting and cruising.

An impressive boot.
I'm a daily commuter and I've had these for a couple weeks now. When I first got these, I was very impressed that a boot can have as many safety features as this one does and remain comfortable and walkable.
The boot looks great and is low-key enough to go unnoticed compared to more conventional boots.
There's a medium level of flex in the sole. I expect I'd be able to walk around for a couple hours without issue, but I wouldn't want to take them on a hike or an all-day walk.
Fit wise, I'd previously tried another pair of boots that were recommended in the gear guide, but they were so narrow I was lucky to actually be able to get them off my foot alone. These are snug, but open up enough to get them off without issue.

At last, they are here!
The time had come to get myself a pair of real touring boots after going about 16 years in sneakers and cracking an ankle bone in an accident 2 months ago. I was worried about buying boots via mail order because I have oddly sized feet, but RevZilla has a great return policy (which I did have to use after ordering the wrong boots, thanks guys!)

I normally wear a size 11 (US) sneaker. Most of the reviews on TCX boots say order your size, so I ordered the size 45 EU. I just got them half an hour ago and have had them on since to get a feel for them. At first I thought they were too loose, but the more I wear them the more they feel right. There is plenty of room in the toe area, but it feels kind of hard on my big toe. Thicker socks or a Dr Scholls insert will probably fix that. There is just enough of a gap at the top to allow my ankles to move freely; with pants legs over them there shouldn't be any leakage.

I haven't been for a test ride yet, but I can already tell there should be good air flow. I don't normally wear boots because my feet sweat. I think these should be okay. They are also providing good support for my ankles, one of which is still sore from the accident.

Once I am sure they fit correctly, I'll go for a test ride and update the review.

Nice versatile summer boots
I'm a bit of a boot whore; I have several sets for different purposes. After seeing a friend with the last generation of these on a trip, I took the plunge and grabbed a set. I've had prior TCX (Oxtar!) boots, and these are just as good. They breathe well, are waterproof, and comfy on and off the bike. Good choice for summer trips.

Great year round boot.
Great fit and features. Donning and doffing are easy with the full length zipper. I like that the zilper tab is velco which prevents it from coming down. Have not ridden in the rain as of yet, so I cannot attest to their waterproof capabilites. The only negative this far is that the interior sole liner does not stay in place and I need to glue them in. Everytime you remove your foot, the liner partially comes out. They also sometimes slip and bunch up towards the toe when you put your foot in. Nothing I sure that can't be remedied with a little spray adhesive. Just a shame that kn a bkot of this quality, design, and cost, that the liners are an issue. Would buy the boot again though.

I really like my TCX X-FIVE boots. Very Comfortable. These Airtech boots should be perfect for the warmer days. I ride with the Patriot Guard, and stand still for long periods in a flag line. I need boots that will be comfortable and keep my feet cool.

Zilly on Jul 22, 2017
They are in size 48: some other manufacturers (I'm looking at you Dainese) don't come it this large of a size. Next, they are suppose to be waterproof, yet offer some type of airflow which is very, very important for So Cal riding when I decide to hit any mountain areas or venture out.
A C on Jul 17, 2017
I live in a tropical place in the Southern Hemisphere, therefore I gotta deal with wet summers. My expectation is that this boot is going to be waterproof, while still allowing my feet to perspire. I'm pretty sure they won't be "breeze", since the membrane is also windproof, but I hope that it won't stuffy because of the build up humidity. Another thing that weighted in my decision making was the protection - this boots feel much sturdier than they look like.

Live in SC and was tired of feet sweating every commute, but wanted a waterproof boot when I tour in Utah, Nevada, California, etc. I can use these in extreme cold and wear a neoprene socks and I stay warm and the boots stay dry. I ride air and oil cooled R Series bikes which generate a lot of heat and block airflow from your feet, but these boots stay pretty cool and comfortable to walk around in all day.

Comfortable. I mean really comfortable. Added Dr Shultz Gel insoles and they are even better. I'm size 9 and just a bit wide. These boots fit perfect. the Goretex and venting keeps my feet dry in NorCal summer and we'll see how they do when rain hits my commute to work. Must mention they look cool, too!

Reviews, Gore-Tex, combined with the fact that most of my travels cover the heat of the California's Central Valley to the rain of the Pacific Northwest.
Brian K on Jul 27, 2016
Was looking for a boot with good to great armoring that didn't look like I was a BMX rider. The TCX fit the bill. Sized like I was buying hiking boots (left a little room in the toe) and it fits like a glove. Velcro flap takes a little getting used to, but once I'm snugged in to the boot, it's terrific.

I normally wear a 7-7 1/2. What do u recommend for boot size?
A shopper on Mar 21, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I normally wear size 10.5 or 11. Which would be size 44 or 45, but they were both too big. I am waiting to try a size 43.
Hey guys, i'm wearing size 9 - 9.5, and i have quite slim calves. Which size should i go 43 or 42? Im from Europe and its quite important for me to choose correct size(already have tourmaster solution 2.0 boots in size 10, which are way too wide at calves and are too long). Thanks in advance :)
Volodymyr M on Jun 10, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I think these boots run at least one size too large. I normally wear size 10.5 or 11. Which would be size 44 or 45, but they were both too big. I am waiting to try a size 43.
How tall are these boots?
Shreyash M on Nov 23, 2016
BEST ANSWER: It would depend on the size of each boot you choose. However, for me, in a smaller size, they go to just above halfway up my lower leg. Basically, enough to cover my shin and leave about an inch room before my knee pads from my olympia pants come into play.
How does these boots handle cold weather? I'm looking for all season boots and the x-five evo seems to be a little bit hot in the summer, would these will be comfy in the 30s?
A C on Aug 29, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I just came back from 12 days in Colorado, where I wore these boots every day for 10 or more hours each day. Temps ranged from 90 to 40, so while I can't speak to the 30s I can say they were comfortable down to 40 at speeds of 55 mph.

I wore wool REI hiking socks each day, more to manage perspiration than to provide warmth. They also did really well in the rain. Good grip on the pegs of my GS Adventure, good waterproofness. If that's a word.
How protective are these boots?? Should I get these or racing boots?
Rodney U on Apr 22, 2016
BEST ANSWER: That's pretty subjective. These are commuting/touring boots. They're very protective in the class they're in. Racing boots will be more protective, and may be so stiff that you can't comfortably wear them off the bike or walk for long distances.
Any idea how to break in for this pair of boots? Foot feeling real sore from shifting gears.
A shopper on Sep 22, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I just got mine less than 24 hours ago. Put them on around the house for several hours, then wore them for a short ride today. No problems, no hot spots. They fit me just fine, and I anticipate no problems. I wear 10.5D and ordered this boot in 44. Nice fit!
I have a wide foot, what boot can I use?
Nick M on May 2, 2017
BEST ANSWER: I've found the TCX Infinity and the Daytona Roadstar boots fit my wide foot. The Roadstar's can be purchased in a wide version.
How do you break in this boots?
Spencer H on Sep 22, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I don't think they need a break in period at all. I wore them to my office for a full day before taking them out on my bike. But I don't think they needed it. If you ordered the right size, they should be fine right out of the box.
Will these fit inside pants legs? I have Rokker jeans and I want the boots IN the jeans.
David M on Jun 13, 2016
BEST ANSWER: They fit inside regular fit Harley Davidson jeans, Levi's 501s, and BMW riding pants. My bet: unless you're wearing skinny jeans, you're okay. (This applies in all circumstances to all men with respect to skinny jeans, though.)
I have a pair of riding boots which are size 44, I need a size 45, however, in the brand I am looking at, the sizes are american. I don't know is a 45 is 11, or 12, or what. can you help me out.? thanks. Don
A shopper on Jun 1, 2016
BEST ANSWER: 45 in the TCX Airtech Evo Gore-tex boots would be size 11. I wear size 9.5 and bought the 43 and they feel slightly big, but if I wear a thicker sock they are perfect. Hope this helps.
