Feels like you're worn it for years right out of the box
Some may question why spend $100 more for the vintage over the regular Akira. Well, all you need to do is try on the vintage to understand. It feels like you've been wearing it for years. The regular Akira is a great jacket, but it feels like a brand new leather jacket. The vintage is broken in from the start. Same great protection (add the proper back protector - don't ride without one). The sliders on the shoulder and elbow are a nice touch. The jacket looks great as well. The only downside is that there aren't matching leather pants. It mates well with riding jeans (I have Austin and Rockefeller), and in the canyons I wear it with Gear 2 pants.

Revit - please make an Akira vintage pant - something in between a tour pant and the Masura. I'll get in line for that.

I'm 6'1" 185 lbs. The 52 fits me perfectly. As in perfectly. The Dainese equivalent (the Race jacket) is a bit sung through the shoulders in a 52, and the 54 has way too much room in the gut. For whatever reason Revit seems to fit me better - ymmv.

Great - but wasn't for me.
Ordered this with mixed feelings and I had the same mixed feelings upon arrival. Solidly built jacket, fits great, ton of protection. Just didn't fit me perfect and it was a splash more aggressive than I wanted. For 7 bills you better want to sleep in it. Reluctantly returned it. I'm 5'11 180 with significant athletic build, ordered the 54. Snug in the arms, but not a deal breaker, would have liked the 52 better in the waist (less material) but probably wouldn't have fit my shoulders. If you like the styling, you'll love the jacket. Construction is super impressive. - 2016 Thruxton R.

Stunning Jacket
Yes, the jacket costs $700, but once you put it on you can see and feel why. The jacket itself is extremely stylish and I can see myself sporting it even when I'm not riding. The leather has a distinct aged look to it, but when you touch and smell it, you realize just how high quality it really is.

I'm 5'10", 180 lbs. with an athletic build. I have a 44-inch chest and the sizing chart indicates I need a size 56. I wear a 54 in a Dainese, and since 56 was sold out, I took a chance on the 54. It fits just fine.

Also, with the $30 in Zillacash, I can get the back protector for just 20 bucks - when it comes back in stock.

All that and a cup of cheese
Yep, y'all gotta know one thing, I have been looking for this jacket and bought a ton of leather trying to find this combination of protection and style , comfort and detailing that just totally makes a bold statement when riding the current fashion bikes that Triumph , BMW, and Ducati are hitting the market with .

This baby just begs to be worn with a blacked out Triumph Bonny or Thruxton with brown leather seat and some of that tricked out new luggage from SW Motech. I have a black bonny but she's a little too prissy for this jacket but I'll wear it anyway on bike night just because it makes me feel ten feet tall and bullet proof. LOL

OK maybe a little too much there but I sincerely have not made a purchase lately that was as satisfying in the reality as it was in the ordering of it.

Now details wise , I'm 5'10 180 pounds with a 36 inch jean size and a 42 inch chest but do not have weight lifter arms so I'm good with room for a layer come cold in this jacket in size 52. In my view it is neither a race fit nor american but is just right and also has a little room in the mid drift for guys like me with a tad case of biscuit poisoning. So choose your size as the charts and you can not miss. The leather is far more supple than I expected and I do NOT know where the weight is coming from as it is pretty heavy compared to my other real heavy jackets . I am ordering the back protector and my only call out for Rev'it , I too think it is ridiculous a seven hundred dolor leather jacket doesn't come with a back protector at least as good as my Klim jackets . So there it is , the reason there was a four on value .. it is priced more than the heavier race oriented jackets and frankly I do not see it . But in all the way OTHER than that it is for me a home run for Rev'it and so I guess that can be proud of it by charging more . But put the back protector in guys , especially since it is not fitable by any other brand.

let's ride see y'all on bike night or canyon carving toward the BMW rally this month....

Amazing jacket but not for cold days
I have had my eye on this jacket for 2 years and finally took the plunge and bought it. I bought it at a local dealer and in Canada this jacket I’d roughly 1000$ out the door (hence why my decision took two years.

Let me start off by saying I am a 5’8” 155-160lbs with a 31 waist. I bought a size 48 and it fits like a glove. By that I mean it is form fitting without a lot of extra room. That is how I like my jackets.

The comfort on this jacket is amazing. I honestly forget I a,wearing it half the time. I have revit gloves and the fit off the gloves with this jacket over my old one is night and day.

Temperatures: on hot days with the liner removed the airflow is great. I had a fieldsheer perf jacket before and this one hands down is cooler. No comparison. The arm airflow is also very good which leads to my only complaint - cold weather.

I road today in the jacket (liner in) and it was 12-14 degrees Celsius. The inner liner is a vest only so my arms still felt the cold air even tho I had a long sleeve tee on. My chest mostly stays warm with the exception of my upper check and neck. The air that flows through the neck is noticeable on a cold day. I am going to have to look into a neck warmer to address this. I bought the jacket mainly for warm weather riding so I can live it’s it.

I didn’t give full marks on protection and bang for buck because as anthonyatrevzilla (say it fast) says it should come with the back protector which I bought. If I had one other suggestion it would be that I wish it had a flap that covered the zipper at the top of the jacket. But that is really nit picking

In the style department your only problem will be all the compliments u get on how great thenjaxket looks.

Sweetest looking jacket ever.
Jacket looks good in the pictures, looks even better in real life. Its super well built. VERY protective. Fits tight. Looks amazing. Good airflow lots of great features. Good pockets. Zip in vest liner.

Ultimately I had to send it back though. I am 6'4" 260 pounds, athletic build. Size 56 was too small. I am hoping size 58 comes back into stock and that it fits better. (I think it will)

Did I mention how good looking this jacket is?

Terrific beast!
Have 190cm height and 56 size. To be honest it's a tiny bit short for my height and if you have 186-188 cm height it will fit you very well. There is a place for your belly (which I almost have not) so I tighten my straps almost on maximum.
Look and feel is event higher my expectations. Materials are good, my movements are not restrained by anything. Relatively good airflow I think a very good one for this protection grade.

A Phenomenal Jacket
This jacket has so much style. Since receiving this four weeks or so ago I have been getting compliments from just about everyone with whom I come in contact. On the bike it's remarkably comfortable, and when the temperature gets into the sixties and seventies it pushes a CRAZY amount of air to keep you cool. If I had to say anything negative about this jacket, it's that it's a little less sporty and racy than the one worn by HVB in the video review. I'm 6'0" and 210 pounds and, even though the fit in the shoulders and the chest is absolutely perfect, the sleeves seem to have a little more extra room than I anticipated. Instead of being form-fitting they seem to be a little more relaxed, with a big gap between the cuffs and my wrists. I know, I know, I should just hit the gym and bulk up my arms, but wearing a full gauntlet over these cuffs makes the material bunch in the gauntlet.

Worth every dollar for the performance, and the style is timeless!
I am very happy with this jacket. It really does a great job at being both very attractive and functional at the same time. My wife thinks I look hot in it and that is worth a ton to me. The jacket has a style on an off a motorcycle and doesnt scream immature and reckless, yet it is packed with all the right features to make it a high performance piece of gear. I tested the protection in a low-side crash at 70km/h during a track day. I walked away fine, and the jacket is still intact. This was my first Rev'it piece and I have purchased many more as a result of how much I like this jacket.

As a technical note, The jacket fully zips to the Masaru pants, but the colours dont work very well together. Not that anyone really can see the contrast when you are riding down the road.

Great jacket
It took me three attempts to get the correct fit. I’m 6’ 195 ( 183 cm, 88 kilos). I’m normal build with a slight belly. I normally wear a size 58 in Alpinestars or Daniese. Size chart was not even close for me. A size 58 in this was way too big everywhere, a 56 fit better in the arms shoulders but the body was really baggy.
Finally settled on a size 54. Fits great even with the liner in. I have long arms and the sleeve length was perfect.
The jacket looks really cool in the vintage brown. The stretch panels are very effective. I like the exposed sliders also. The armor is soft and flexible, not really noticeable Quite happy with the overall quality.
The jacket is very comfortable, the venting worked very well on the 70-90f (22-32C) summer days here in SoCal.
The jacket is on the pricey side, I bought mine during a %15 off sale. The Revzilla bucks I earned almost covered the back protector I ordered. Overall happy with the cost.
I had no problem with returns. Thanks Revzilla!
