It's no Arai...
I really wanted to like this helmet because of removable shield and style. I can't stand riding with a shield in place, I find it bothersome with reflection inside and they don't work well with my eyes for some reason. I have actually started using an Arai XD 4 on my big bagger with the shield removed and just use glasses to protect my eyes so I thought this would be a good fit for me.

It is true to size. It's ultra light and looks great. But here's the issues I didn't like.

Eye port is too small, I can see the cheek pads in my field of view all the way around the bottom and they extend up into the eye port. The cheek pads feel like they are putting your face and lips into a funnel and puckering your lips. Chin strip padding is not positioned correctly without adjusting it each time. Took time to get my ears to lay flat when putting it on. No accommodation for glasses in the side pads like a premium helmet should have.

I tried to convince myself to keep it but there were too many issues that would drive me nuts. Yes I'm a freak about helmets, other riders my find it's a good style for them.

Top Class Retro Helmet
If any of you are on the fence about this helmet, I would say go for it. I upgraded to this helmet after using a Biltwell Gringo S and the quality is next level. The interior is made from premium materials, the fit and finish are excellent, it's very lightweight, and it just seems like a very sturdy, well made helmet. The biggest surprise was how quiet this helmet was. My Biltwell Gringo S has massive wind buffeting at high speeds, but this helmet just sounded like air flowing smoothly past. Very nice and easy on the ears.

I only have 2 minor issues with this helmet. Issue 1 being that it is difficult to attach the peak. The snaps don't want to go together so you have to bang them on. If you're not constantly taking it on and off, it's not really a big deal. Issue 2 is that the space for the ears is full of padding so it bends the top of your ears forward and is not the most comfortable. You can bend them back, but it requires poking around with your fingers.

One note about sizing, According to their size chart I needed a large, (I also wear a Biltwell Gringo S in large). The large was waaaay too small for me. I could squeeze my head in, but it was incredibly tight and uncomfortable. I purchased the X-large instead and it fits great.

Compared to the other retro helmets on the market this one is a no brainer. It's a lot nicer than the Biltwells. It doesn't look ridiculous like the Bell Bullitt and is cheaper to boot. So yeah, this is a sweet helmet and I'm very happy with my purchase.

Best retro style helmet!
I love this helmet. It is very comfortable, light, and it is made of quality materials. I rank it as slightly better than my Suomy Spec1R. It does lack venting, but that is more a result of its styling. On hot days, it could be used with sunglasses instead of the face shield in order to get the airflow and increase the retro factor. Also, the face shield can be raised to create about an inch of space for airflow. The graphics on this helmet are red even though it looks orange in the promo photos. I have tried on other retro-styled helmets and this helmet fits me the best. In my opinion, the XG100 is the best of the retro styled helmets. In addition, it has the higher ECE safety rating.

Spectacular designs
I read reviews here all the time and thought I write one for this helmet even though I didn't get it at the site.

I own a Tokko model (not availabe in the US, sorry) with amazing graphics. Other than that the helmets are the same.

I kid you not, this is the most comfortable helmet I've ever used.

Lighter but snuggier in an awesome way than my Bell Bullitt Carbon.

Average visibility, where the snaps work good enough for not allowing any water to enter through the visor opening in a downpour, not super ventilated or comm-compatible, but expected on a vintage design.

I also have two (yes TWO) XG10 as my open-face helmets, a Muddy Hog in blue (blue only available in full face at the US, green in open-face) and a Bolt one (not available again, hehe, sorry... not available in Mexico either, had to order it from London).

Spectacular design, comfortable as a new expensive mattress.
