Best fitting helmet so far
Ok let me start off by saying my head is exactly 21 inches according to the size chart I would be a XS (the top range of XS is 21.3 so that gave me some room) but according to the video i should of gone with a size up, a S but i stuck with the chart and I'm glad I did. In all other helmets I have Bell Star, Shoei RF 1200 I'm a XS as well they both are great, fit well but this the HJC PPHA 11 fits the best, really snug with out any pain, and not snug but still a little loose like the Bell Star I have which I'm about to replace the cheek pads to get a better fit. Air flow seems to be best over the Shoei and The Bell, it's definitely lighter then the both, but not as light as the Nexx XR1 I have. The Nexx fits is ok but at speeds (track or high way) it tends to be a little loose for my taste. Can't say enough about the graphics I mean look at it ,its Venom! I get tons of looks and people love the way it looks. I may get another non-venom version for the track. My fist HJC and not disappointed at at all.

Great Bang for Your Buck
This helmet is very light weight and the ventilation in it is amazing! Throw in both the tinted and clear visors along with the pinlock screen that are all included and I can't see how this helmet can get much better!

You pay quite a bit more for the graphics, but that expense is totally up to you. Just the base helmet is amazing, and if you feel like showing it off a bit HJC has plenty of awesome graphics to go along with it.

Great alternative to Arai and Shoei (TL:DR At least try your proper size before going up)
I'm just going to talk about fit first because that was my biggest question when i was looking at this helmet.

Revzilla says that you should order a size up. I don't think that's necessarily the case. I'm a Medium in every helmet I've tried. Arai, Shoie, Built (I was new and broke), and others and all sizes fit best in a medium. So if you have a 57-58 cm head like me, get a medium.

Here's the catch. It's going to be tight. Like Jesus Christ this helmet was tight when i first got it. The cheek pads that come with a medium are 35 mm. I think that's what Arai uses on there extra small helmets. But this is supposed to be a race fit helmet, it should be tight to your head. Wear the helmet around the house for a few days while taking breaks when it becomes too uncomfortable. I did this and the cheek pads broke in. Took the helmet out a few days ago when i rode with no issues.

If you feel like the helmet is still too tight, figure out if it's your head that hurts or your face. If the discomfort is coming from your face, get smaller cheek pads. But please don't get a helmet too big just because your face is being squished.

That was the main thing i wanted to help others figure out but i'll also touch on other aspects of the helmet.

Airflow is really good. While I personally didn't feel like my face was getting blasted with air while i was riding, the top of my head did have a very cool breeze while riding on the freeway. I don't really get a sweaty head while riding but i think this should be acceptable if you do. The vents are also really easy to use with gloves on. The switch inside the chin is slightly hard to reach with the chin curtain by the way but ehh it's fine.

Noise level to me is very quite. The main thing i heard while riding was my exhaust. There is a very noticeable noise reduction when you have your visor cracked vs fully closed. That was nice. So the chin curtain plus the tight cheek pads really help reduce noise.

For $400-450, I don't think you can beat this helmet unless like a RF-1200 goes on sale. If you're like me and get the venom graphic or boba fett graphic because you're an attention whore, the returns aren't as great but you're paying for the graphic and you know it.

You will probably be happy with this helmet, if not, revzilla makes it easy to return orders i hear.

Not Bad
This is my first HJC helmet, I've had Icon, Bell, and Shoei, and this helmet is right up there with the best. I'm a gadget guy so all the little features that come with the helmet out the box is awesome... i.e. anti fog, clear & black visor, locking visor latch, and multiple vents. Perfect oh did I mention it's a complete head turner...I Love this thing!!!!!

Nice upgrade from the 10 pro
As the title suggests I have the RPHA 10 pro, and decided to upgrade to this helmet. There are many reasons why and i will list them all:
-Have you seen the Venom graphic? The thing is the perfect mix of sexy and scary and i get a ton of people doing double takes.
- I live in Arizona and the 10 pro was a disappointment coming off of the CL-17, which in my opinion has superior venting. Anthony did not exaggerate when he said this thing flows. This is a must for warm weather riding.
- I didn't think the 10 pro was heavy, but boy does the weight savings make a difference once it's on your head.
- All the other details swayed my decision, like the extra added smoke visor.

Here are some things to consider if you are buying:
-When i bought the 10 pro and the CL-17, the medium was too tight and the large was good but not really tight out of the box. Once it broke in it was a little looser than i would have liked, but it isn't loose by any means. If you are in between sizes like i am, stay with the current size. I ordered the large again and it's perfect. Once it breaks in it should be the right size. I would say go half a size up instead a full size up, but that's just my opinion.
-It most definitely is loud, i wear ear protection any way, but there is a noticeable difference from the 10 pro. About the same as the CL-17 though. I will gladly deal with it for the added air flow.
-The lining isn't as soft out of the box as i remember the 10 pro being, maybe it needs some sweat, but it isn't uncomfortable either. It definitely isn't a deal breaker and i will update once it breaks in.

Overall I am happy with the purchase and with Revzilla and their customer service. The gear geeks recommended i stay with the Large instead of going to an XL and i'm glad they did. If you're thinking about getting this helmet, i highly recommend it if you don't mind or already wear ear plugs.

Excellent Helmet
I have a round head which limits me to specific manufacturers. HJC has always been a great fit so I was super excited when they came out with this one. Some reviewers had said if you fit a medium in the Rpha 10 then you will be a large in the Rpha 11 pro. That was not the case for me. I'm a medium in the Rpha 10 pro, Rpha 11 pro, HJ-17 and also an AGV medium.

I really like this helmet because its super light. Much lighter then the other helmets Ive worn. Aerodynamics feel great and have no complains about this helmet. I ride it on the street and track and its such an attention grabber when I'm wearing it. I put the stickers on the top of the visor and it does not impair my vision. I don't even see it when I have the helmet on. I also noticed when you have the dark shield on, you can see very clearly in daylight. Various other helmets with the dark shield on, it looks dark. Hard to explain.

Highly recommend this helmet. I'll be looking to get another Rpha 11pro but in a different color.

A little pricey, but worth it
I just picked this beauty up and I love it so far. It's definitely more expensive than my previous helmets and most other helmets from HJC. You can tell they put a lot of Research and development into this one. It's a lot lighter but still feels like it offers great protection in the event of something bad happening. I love how it already has cutouts for speakers. That was an unexpected surprise. My Sena 20 went right in with no problems. As far as the fit goes, I was surprised there too. In a lot of helmets I wear a 3XL, but I really wanted this helmet so I ordered it anyway even though the largest is a 2XL. I read where a lot of folks said it ran a full size smaller than normal, but that was not my experience. The cheeks were a little snug, but everywhere else fit perfectly. I immediately fell in love with the graphics package on this. As a huge comic book fan, Venom is probably not only one of my favorite villains, but also one of my favorite characters in general, so when they put this one out, I just had to have it.

Paint Chipped on Spoiler, 1st Ride. :(
1st ride with my new helmet and the paint chipped on the spoiler. Not sure what happened, I did not get hit by a rock and barley went over 80 MPH. I think they did a bad job on the painting at HJC. Since it is a plastic part the paint does not hold as well. Really sucks, sent pics to the customer Service team at RevZilla, I am hoping they can help me out on getting it fixed or a better lasting helmet. I would save your money and get the helmet without the fancy paint job that wont hold up.

Besides that paint issue it is a good helmet. Light and lots of air when riding to keep your head cool.

Joshua Z on Apr 11, 2017
Venom is awesome! Good airflow, not a big fan of the strap under your chin would prefer the one that clicks closed. It's just faster that way. I like the closing mechanism on the visor easy to use. No complaints other than waiting for the new Bluetooth from hjc to come out. Would look and be more functional for this helmet

Ok sizing question i'm a spot on 21 inch head, the chart says 21.3 is XS and 21.7-22 is a small whcih should i go with XS or small?
Isaac B on Nov 7, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I am an XS in shoei rf 1200. I went with XS in RPHA 11 pro and it fits. Small would have been too large.
If you are an XS and want a tight race fit, go with the XS.
