Love at first sight!
I've been looking for a solid leather riding jacket for 2 years now. I almost pulled the trigger on the Rev'it Flatbush, but it was discontinued. I wanted something that looked great on and off the bike, and wow, this jacket is beautiful.

The jacket just arrived in the mail, so this is an early review, but it already seems amazing for the closeout price of $250. I would probably even pay full price for it. It smells great, the quality of the leather looks amazing and I can barely feel the armour. This jacket is so stylish that I see myself wearing this on the bike and out on the town.

My one critique is the lack of pockets, but I guess that contributes to the sleek look. That said, a larger internal pocket for gloves like RSD jackets have wouldn't hurt the style and would add a bit more functionality.

I'm 5'10" 180lbs with an athletic build and a 40" chest. I usually wear a size 42 in a suit jacket. I ordered a size 52 in this jacket and it fits perfectly. It's a little tight around the chest and arms, but I know this will break in beautifully with the high quality leather. There's enough room that a back protector or extra layer would be just fine.

I am so glad I went with this jacket and can't wait to break it in and start turning some heads on my Ducati Scrambler!

Totally Great!
I just got this and jumped on the bike. So, maybe there is some criticism I might find over time. But right out of the box and after an hour and a half ride I completely love it.

It fits great. I'm 5'9, 165 pounds, neither athletic nor paunchy, and a 52 fits perfectly. The arm/shoulder protection is soft and thin and in no way noticeable. I won't be taking them out ever. The jacket looks terrific. I was worried that it was on sale because it might be blindingly shiny or strange somehow else. No such problem. It's a great looking basic perf leather jacket.

It flows an amazing amount of air. I have a good mesh jacket as well and surely the mesh flows more air but when I was just out it seemed just the same as the mesh jacket. No heavier either. The mesh jacket is now my bad weather summer jacket.

With no discount I'd say the jacket is fairly priced. At the closeout price this is an insane deal.

Stylish Italian leather jacket
I was looking for something to wear during the summer commute in Boston. I wanted good airflow and I actually cared about understated good looks. At the sale price, this Jacket is a huge bargain! It oozes quality and smells properly. It flows air very well. I purchased an ICON Viper male back protector CE Level I because I knew I was mostly going to ride this in the city and not on the track. The price was $30 vs $90 for the Dainese back protector. For aggressive canyon riding I would suggest something more hard core, but for everything else this is great. It works best on scramblers, street fighters and standards. For reference, I am 145 lbs and 5'7.5" tall and purchased a size 48. The fit is not as aggressive as the older racing Dainese jacket, but still slim and spot on. Beautiful jacket and would purchase it again in a heartbeat!

THE classic Italian moto jacket
I haven’t gotten too many miles on this thing yet, but since there aren’t many reviews on this thing, I think first impressions could be valuable. Summary: This jacket is AWESOME.

Fit: I’m 5’9 185lbs with a leaner rugby physique. Broad up-top with a slimmer waist. I wear a 54 in Dainese street rider, 54 in the Dainese MIG, and a large in Alpinestars textile. I went down to a 52 in the Nera72. I ordered the 54 and the 52 because Anthony’s recommendation on sizing in the video left some doubt in my mind about just going with my normal size. The 54 Nera I’d consider an “American” relaxed fit. The sleeves were also much too long (this tends to be an issue on all of my jackets as I have to usually size up to fit the shoulders and chest, so this may not be an issue for others). On the other hand, the 52 looks and feels tailored. Fits tightly but comfortable when zipped up with the armour in all the right places. Lays perfectly on the body and looks pure Italian sexy. The arms are pretty tight for anybody with moderate to big arms though – to the point of actually cutting into my biceps when bent. It hurt for the first half hour or so but they’ve started to break in and isn’t an issue anymore.

Comfort: This thing is light, soft, and moves well with the body. Everything about it feels premium. Zippers are beefy and work well. Pockets feel good inside, but are a little shallow. I put a G2 Pro Armour back protector in and it feels fine. No restricted movement, no discomfort pressing along the spine. Feels perfectly comfortable in 70-80 degrees. I haven’t had it out in anything much hotter, but I imagine it wouldn’t be too bad up to 90s depending on how long you’re sitting in traffic and whatnot.

Looks: Screams classic Italian style. Without a doubt the best looking jacket I own now. Leave the top inch or two unzipped to flash the Italian Flag emblem. The leather has a perfect shine to it. I doubt I’d ever wear this thing to a bar if I wasn’t actually riding my bike, but I wouldn’t blame anybody for doing so. Thing looks badass.

At $500 this thing is a great deal. On closeout at $250 it’s an absolute steal.

Perfect mix of nostalgia and function
When I opened the box the smell of the leather was amazing. Instantly brought me back to riding on the back of my dad's bike years ago.

I knew I made the right purchase as soon as I put it on. Not to hyperbole but the leather is like butter. After one ride it is easily my favourite jacket. All kinds of airflow (I was great at speed at 85 degrees) and tremendous style. The armour is not intrusive and just melds with the jacket. The belt loop attachment is a nice touch.

At the sale price this is a steal. My only regret is not having the funds to buy another. In ten years I'll wish I had.

Perfect jacket, especially for the price
Like the first post, took a chance on this when it didn't have any reviews. I could not pass on it for $250 and glad I didn't. I didn't need another perforated leather jacket, but a Dainese at this price and with the quality of the leather/build is just amazing. Size 52 fits like a large medium or a small large, which is perfect for me; armor is only CE1, but it feels like it isn't there with the jacket on (a good thing). Would love if it had come with CE2 armor, but can't complain for this price. Very comfortable, looks great on and off the bike.

Put in an Alpinestars Nucleon KR-2i back protector that I already had (tight fit, but works) and you are good to go.

Lastly, almost no logos or branding. Pretty much a perfect jacket. All manufacturers need to follow this example. I have no interest in advertising for a manufacturer when I wear clothing or apparel. Let the quality of materials, cut, and tailoring speak for itself (which in this jacket it does). If the jacket is of great quality, people will ask you about it. Word of mouth will do more to sell apparel for a manufacturer than garish branding.

Fantastic deal from Revzilla. Very happy with this jacket.

Wow. Just...wow.
This jacket is beautiful. I'm 5'9", 150, slim build, and the 50 fits me like a glove. It is perfect in every way. Simple, elegant, functional, durable. No obnoxious logos or stripes, just subtle Dianese branding. Wore it today in 90 degree weather, great airflow. I have no doubt it will last the rest of my life. I dont want to take it off. Hands down the best quality you can get for $250. Buy it.

Spectacular for $250
This is a STEAL for $250. Full-weight leather jacket with perf. Light elbow and shoulder armor pads built in. Pocket for back armor.

I'm 6', about 200#, the 54 fits me perfectly.

All good bike jackets are stiff when they're new. They're supposed to be. They need breaking in. This jacket will need mimimal break-in. It's ready to out of of the box, and will only get better with time.

Need a full protection, nice looking perforated leather jacket? Seriously. $250!!!

Dainese Nera72 Perforated Leather Jacket
Excellent design, great execution of quality and a great price. Fits slightly Large. I normally wear a Euro 56 in Dainese leather jackets, and a Euro 54 in most Dainese textile jackets, without liners. This one is the exception, as other reviewers have stated it is cut to "American Sizes". I had to send the Euro 56 back and the Euro 54 I got fits perfectly, even with the back protector fitted.

The perfect combination between style and function.
Quality materials and a stylish fit. Logo's are very subtle and for me its the perfect urban jacket and one that works well for casual use when you take out the armor. Great value.
