Disappointing trim on a beautiful jacket
I purchased this jacket for my husband - it is a beautiful style and he loves it. However, I was disappointed to see the poor finishing on the buttons. This is the only leather garment I've seen where the outer buttons are not counter-stitched to an inside anchor button (so the thread anchors the dress button to a smaller button on the inside of the leather, stopping the button thread tearing the leather when the button is strained). Instead the buttons are not even tied on - the stitching is looped through and then left untied. Within the first three days he lost two buttons, one of which tore through the leather. For an $800 piece I would expect that correct button stitching would be standard. Oh, and there were no spare buttons included that I could find - again, a standard expectation for even a mid-quality garment. It's a fantastic looking jacket, so I'm rating it highly on looks, comfort, protection and style, but I have to rate it low for quality.

You get what you pay for
This has become my new go to jacket. I prefer motorcycle clothing that I can wear both on the ride and commuting, but also leave it in place when I get where I'm going without screaming, "Hey everyone look at me I ride a bike" when I walk in the door. The dark brown color is fantastic and the fit and finish is top notch. It has a great quilted liner inside, fabric around the inside of the cuffs and has a bit of a longer cut which is good for the taller guys (I'm 6'3, 210lbs size 52). The liner inside isn't removable and there are no vent zips on this baby. So it will be pretty hot in California summers. Armor is in the shoulders and elbows and also not removable as far as I can tell. But its very flexible and thin and honestly I don't even know it's there. This is an awesome style jacket but if over the top armor and lots of vent options are what you want this isn't the right choice. Just an all around great (albeit $$) everyday jacket that gets loads of compliments as just an awesome leather jacket in general.

Awesome....but...
I love this jacket. The leather is so soft and the light brown looks amazing!
Looks great on and off the bike. I wear it everywhere because it looks so awesome.
Thermal liner is great and keeps me warm all the time.

BUT! Those lovely buttons on the big pockets on the front seem to have some dodgy stitching on my jacket. Already lost one button and another one is a bit loose. That's with the pocket being used only a handful of times. Just a huge downer for a jacket that costs so much.
Because of this I've had to mark down the durability.

Beautiful jacket, beautiful fit, terrible construction
I wore this jacket through all four seasons over the course of a year in southern Missouri and I absolutely loved it. It was hot in the summer, obviously, but the protection and style it offered made it worth it. In winter it kept me warm though I had to wear a fur over it on the very cold days. It took me two tries to get the fit right (I'm a slim 30"-32" waist, trim but not really muscular and I wore a 48 that fit perfectly). I absolutely loved the fit, style, and color of this jacket. The armor was subtle and un-noticeable and the reflective strip under the perforated leather worked but did not ruin the styling. Despite all of those wonderful qualities, I returned the jacket because the build quality was shockingly poor. In the course of a year, I had to sew three buttons back on, lost one and had another simply break in half! The stitching at the bottoms of the hand warmer pockets came loose, the stitching on the breast pockets came loose and the zipper was a nightmare. I got stuck in the jacket on a summer day and had to peel the thing off over my head to escape. The cause of the zipper troubles was that a few of the teeth had come loose and fallen out. I loved this jacket but it was a nightmare. I expected a high-quality jacket from Dianese and for the price. I got a jacket that I loved to wear but was always afraid to break.

Expensive, but nice.
So this is a pretty nice jacket. Very warm, very high quality. Honestly, they could have taken an extra two minutes to sew the buttons on a little better. I went ahead and had the dry cleaning lady take care of that before I lost any. Really nice style, I've received lots of compliments on this thing, and it does not scream MOTORCYCLE when off of the bike. Very nice for wearing around town and it's not noticeable different than any other non riding leather jacket. One thing I wish was different is the cuff. Zippers would really make this jacket a home run. As it is, the sweat shirt style cuff is pretty restrictive and if worn with any kind of long sleeve base layer, the wrists feel pretty tight and bunched up. Overall though this jacket is a winner.

Amazing jacket on and off the bike!
This jacket is all about the style and it's got it by the bucketload. Stunning jacket that I wear during the winter on the bike and off the bike when I go out (or to work when I don't have meetings). It's one of my two coats for the NYC winters.

For the bike, the pro shape armor give me peace of mind but I haven't had a spill in it yet. I like that the sleeves are elastic and doesn't let wind in even when my gloves are gauntlet style. Surprisingly, the neck closure does a great job of keeping wind out. If it gets really windy, you'll still want a balaclava. I was worried about the buttons but they've surprising stayed on well.

Downsides, it's cut longer than racing jackets so it bunches up a little. Also, the jacket is not gusseted so there's a slight resistance when you assume a more aggressive riding position.

Totally love this jacket.
