Before Arai started making motorcycle helmets, their founder Hirotake Arai was manufacturing construction helmets after the war and wore them when he would ride his motorcycle. From there, Arai's motorcycle helmet production began. And in proper dedication to Hirotake Arai, the Arai Defiant X HA is steeped in style and protection, from the vent placement all the way down to the throwback logo on the forehead.This version of the Defiant-X smooths out its predecessor's aggressive lines to produce a bold yet refined helmet. SFL shell construction is round and smooth to avoid catching on rough surfaces. The shape and materials create a strong shell to disperse energy upon impact. Facial Contour System cheek pads provide a snug yet comfortable fit. Arai's Free Flow System guides air underneath the helmet to improve overall ventilation for hot weather riding. VAS Shield System:

• VAS (Variable Axis System) shield and side pods are exclusive to the Arai Corsair X Helmet
• Variable axis (moving pivot point) allows shield mount position to be lower than most helmets
• Dual function lever releases both the side pod and the face shield for quick and simple face shield removal

VAS Shield Latch System:

• Captures and holds the face shield closed securely
• Provides a de-mist position to slightly crack the shield open
• Larger latch design allows for intuitive and seamless operation

Ventilation:
