Normally, this would be peak season for Wet ‘n' Wild water park in Palm Springs, California, but the park is closed for renovations. Unless you’re Josh Hill.
Hill’s best known for his supercross and MX riding, though recently he’s turned his attention to snow bike racing. And water parks, apparently. With Wet ‘n’ Wild down for the season, Hill took an Alta electric dirt bike out to see if any fun could be had at the closed park.
Bombing down all the abandoned rides is incredible to watch, but I was even more surprised to see Hill ride the bike straight through the water with an electric bike. (Lance: “You didn't tell me he rode an electric bike into a pool!”) I know the batteries are protected from the elements and all. It still feels wrong. I’d also think twice before riding down the Pacific Spin, so what do I know?
For what it’s worth, I haven’t seen any reports that Wet ‘n’ Wild will not be opening an electric motorcycle freeride section next season. Just sayin’.
