Does what I want and seems to do it well. I bought a cable lock because I am paranoid about my Arai Vector Phil Read Replica helmet. With this lock I can loop the cable up through the helmet view port instead of just through the chin strap dogs and feel that it is as safe as it can be. By this I mean that the casual thief won't get it. If, however, the thief is really serious and has a pair of bolt cutters, that's another story. Other style locks attach just through the chin strap dogs and these dogs can be cut off with a sharp knife. With the cable retracted, this lock is light and compact and fits easily in a jacket pocket. November 3, 2012
Simple lock -- performs as expected. My only wish is that the cable was longer...but this seems to be a pretty standard size. July 19, 2010
Decent lock Compact and easy to use. Not convinced of it's true strength against even a mildly determined thief, but it might be a deterrent and will at least slow someone down or make them think twice. I wish the cable was longer, though June 23, 2008
