Don't buy! I bought this for my Harley Davidson Sportster and was immediately impressed until I left it clipped on the frame for a long ride and it broke. Apparently the buttons you push to open the lock popped out, maybe from the vibration of the bike, I'm not sure. I had to get a bolt cutter just to remove the lock from my frame. This might be a good product if you leave it in your pocket or saddle bag, but whatever you do, don't leave it bolted to the frame if you ride a harley. August 30, 2015
DO NOT buy This device is made of plastic which can be shattered with a hammer. The numbered dial is plastic which could be crushed by using a set of pliers August 23, 2015
Easily locks helmet to handlebar My bike doesn't have an integrated helmet lock and I didn't like the ones that mount to a bar. I also didn't want to carry another key. This helmet lock is great. It's basically a carabiner with a combination lock built in. It's small enough to slip in a pocket of my tank bag and but large enough to go around my handlebar to hang my helmet. The body is coated with a very grippy rubber, so it won't scratch anything, and it's easy to set your own 4-digit code. August 21, 2015
Love it! The setup of the lock was a little confusingat first, but I figured it out and its really nice! I just leave it hooked on the passenger peg support strut so its there when I need it. It's bigger than I thought it would be and is made really well. Saves a lot of trouble carrying around your helmet! August 3, 2015
Lightweight, easy to use, feels secure Lightweight and easy to transport. A bit too large to fit into a pants pocket depending on how tight you like your jeans, lol. Easily fits through helmet D-rings. However, my second helmet uses a ratchet to secure the straps, and the lock doesn't fit through that opening. It's got a peak visor, though, so I'm able to secure the lock through one of the visor's vents. July 27, 2015
Easy to use and locks anywhere I picked up this helmet lock because I didn't like to leave my helmet just sitting on my mirror, connected to the helmet lock under the seat or using a license plate lock kit. I am able to lock it right to the handlebar or to the rear seat handle so easily! It keeps it high on the bike and away from dust that gets kicked up if there are people driving or riding nearby. It's easy to set the combination and is very lightweight. I'd recommend this product! July 24, 2015
Adaptable helmet attachment I prefer this locking carabiner to frame mount style helmet locks, as I find it is significantly more adaptable. The body is covered in a thin layer of foam rubber to prevent scratching or denting, and it will ride quietly if you find a sufficiently large location to mount it that it can't move around much. When you want to lock something to your bike frame it provides a great deal of space, for instance you can lock two helmets to the same bike using this one lock. It's big enough to lock both your helmet and jacket from the jacket's hang loop. The carabiner's thick enough to require some beefy bolt cutters to defeat. No lock is impervious, but this one will secure the things you lock with it against most attacks. July 23, 2015
Fun and Effective... Glad the combo programming was simple and the carabiner is sturdy and wrapped with a protective layer. Great for more than just locking a helmet. Getting items customized with metal grommet hole-punch also allows Helmet Lock to keep items secured together! June 24, 2015

Michael H: Needed a helmet lock to go with my Nolan lock plate that I ordered elsewhere (RevZilla doesn't stock them). Nolan uses this really cool ratchet system instead of d-rings for their chinstraps. The ratchet system works great, but it makes it hard to lock your helmet to your bike in OEM fashion. I think that there helmets are worth the extra $ and effort. Nov 10, 2013

Eric G: Needed somewhere to lock up my helmet. My street triple r doesn't have anything under the seat and a two helmet top case would be to big. Aug 30, 2013
A shopper asked: How do I attach my helmet with the lock? I don't have a D-Ring or any openings in my helmet. To would have to make a hole to put the lock through, so I would have to make a hole in my ear-flap & through the enclosed nylon strap, I guess. Any other solutions / suggestions? Jun 8, 2015

Aimee A: I wouldn't puncture or alter your helmet in anyway. Just secure it to the bike with a cable lock. I always carry one in my tail bag in case I want to lock my jacket to my bike. Jul 9, 2015

Robyn A: I don't think this will easily work for you then. You need some kind of ring/attachment in order for this to fit through and then clamp around the bike structures. Jun 23, 2015

A S asked: Hi I forgot my combo, how do I reset it? Thank you Oct 4, 2014
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
Thomas L: I assume it is locked right now. If that's the case, I don't think there is any way. That's the point of the lock. If you could do it, a thief could.

I think what you are faced with is starting at 0000 and working your way carefully to 9999 (or 000 through 999 in the case of the original HelmetLok). A time consuming task. Along the way the number might come to you.

ian h: Unfortunately , the first step requires that you have the lock open. Once you are there all you do is turn the two pins at the pivot end of the lock bezel until the recess into the lock. Then set your new combo, and ther release the pins. Your new combo is set

Enjoy

Jose Antonio I: Ooops!!! I can tell you how to change your combination, but how to reset it with out it, nope, guess there is no way, otherwise it wouldn't be a safe lock, since a burglar knowing this, could open every lock he finds.
Contact the manufacturer or maybe someone at Revzilla might be of better help, sorry!!
