DO NOT buy
This device is made of plastic which can be shattered with a hammer. The numbered dial is plastic which could be crushed by using a set of pliers

Don't buy!
I bought this for my Harley Davidson Sportster and was immediately impressed until I left it clipped on the frame for a long ride and it broke. Apparently the buttons you push to open the lock popped out, maybe from the vibration of the bike, I'm not sure. I had to get a bolt cutter just to remove the lock from my frame. This might be a good product if you leave it in your pocket or saddle bag, but whatever you do, don't leave it bolted to the frame if you ride a harley.

Does what it should
It's a great piece of equipment because you never have to carry an extra key, and the fourth digit combi is much better than a 3 digit one. It's rubber coated which is also a nice touch. The number discs feel a bit flimsy but they actually work ok.

Love it!
The setup of the lock was a little confusingat first, but I figured it out and its really nice! I just leave it hooked on the passenger peg support strut so its there when I need it. It's bigger than I thought it would be and is made really well. Saves a lot of trouble carrying around your helmet!

Great!
Nice way to lock up your helmet without attaching anything permanently to your bike. The rubber coding is excellent so you don't scratch up whatever part of the bike you decide to clip it to.

Depends on How & Where You Will Use It
I purchased this lock for its convenience being able to lock my helmet over either my handle bar (1-1/4" diam) or over my motorcycle frame without needing to mess with a key... This lock itself looked to me a little weak to really stop anyone who intensionally wants to break it and take my helmet away... I recommend it if you have a similar expectation/purpose as I do of this lock instead of complete theft proof.

Perfect for the price
I bought this lock to use while in class and it works great! Its small enough so that I can just put it in my pocket and really simple to operate so that I can just hop in the store for 5 minutes without carrying my helmet or fiddling around with the annoying lock that came on my bike!

Easy to use and locks anywhere
I picked up this helmet lock because I didn't like to leave my helmet just sitting on my mirror, connected to the helmet lock under the seat or using a license plate lock kit. I am able to lock it right to the handlebar or to the rear seat handle so easily! It keeps it high on the bike and away from dust that gets kicked up if there are people driving or riding nearby. It's easy to set the combination and is very lightweight. I'd recommend this product!

Cheap and portable security
I was looking for a way to secure by helmet without installing locks on both my bikes. This solution is cheap and works great on both my Harley and Kawasaki. It's so light, when I clip it to a belt loop when not in use I forget it's even there. The coating protects the handle bars as well as the helmet. The lock is simple to set and change.

Seemed simple and straightforward and at least enough of a hassle for someone to get off to maybe not make it worthwhile to attempt to break it. Easy to carry on me and use when I get to my destination.

I had been looking at the rear license plate locks and didn't like them very much. This one allows me to lock my helmet to my motorcycle in any convenient location, not just the rear of the bike. With this lock I can put it underneath my cover which will protect it from rain as well.

Kyle W on Sep 2, 2016
How do I attach my helmet with the lock? I don't have a D-Ring or any openings in my helmet. To would have to make a hole to put the lock through, so I would have to make a hole in my ear-flap & through the enclosed nylon strap, I guess. Any other solutions / suggestions?
A shopper on Jun 8, 2015
BEST ANSWER: I wouldn't puncture or alter your helmet in anyway. Just secure it to the bike with a cable lock. I always carry one in my tail bag in case I want to lock my jacket to my bike.
what part of the bike do you attach this to?
A shopper on Jan 25, 2016
BEST ANSWER: My Harley has a springer seat, so I attach it to that. Basically anywhere there is a loop or ring available - or even exposed cables/wire harness. I am sure there are a few spots an any bike that it can loop through
Hi I forgot my combo, how do I reset it? Thank you
A S on Oct 4, 2014
BEST ANSWER: I assume it is locked right now. If that's the case, I don't think there is any way. That's the point of the lock. If you could do it, a thief could.

I think what you are faced with is starting at 0000 and working your way carefully to 9999 (or 000 through 999 in the case of the original HelmetLok). A time consuming task. Along the way the number might come to you.
I forgot my combo how do I reset it?
A shopper on Oct 4, 2014
BEST ANSWER: Ooops!!! I can tell you how to change your combination, but how to reset it with out it, nope, guess there is no way, otherwise it wouldn't be a safe lock, since a burglar knowing this, could open every lock he finds.
Contact the manufacturer or maybe someone at Revzilla might be of better help, sorry!!
how do I reset the the combination?
A shopper on May 17, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Open the lock with your current combination or factory preset 0000. Turn the reset button, at the narrow end of the lock next to the dials, clockwise until it stops. Set your new combination. Turn the reset button all the way back counter clockwise. Lock is now ready to use with your new combination.
