Abus Granit City X-Plus 1060 Chain Lock
Really thick and strong chain!
Yes this chain is very thick and strong which is both good and bad. Good because its hard to cut through with a pair of bolt cutters (even top of the line bolt cutters). It'll probably take about 10 minutes to completely cut one entire link with the bolt cutters. Way too much time if you've left your bike out in the open, under a street lamp, or beside a security camera. If the theif has an angle grinder it'll probably take about two minutes though. But an angle grinder is not only very loud but it's also very bright when sparks are flying off at day and especially at night. All that in combination with leaving out in the open with definitely deter theives.the only gripe i have about it is that its so heavy. The chain is a out 11lbs alone. I cant carry it everywhere i go just for that reason. I have to be in a place where I'm sure it'll get stolen. That in combination with having o other things in my bag make it too heavy.

Great quality and protection
My bike is still there, so it's done its job excellently. The quality is obvious and so is the strength of the chain and the locking mechanism. Locking and unlocking is a breeze. I got the longer version and glad I did. It's pricey, but worth it since I know my bike will be there when I wake up in the morning. Very happy with this purchase.

I bought this chain in addition to a disc lock. I was worried that it might not be heavy enough to make me feel secure, but this chain is definitely beefy. It fits in my back pack without being too cumbersome. Love the covering on the chain to make sure my bike doesn't get scratched.

Bike's still here...
I guess the bad part about a product like this is you don't know if it works until it doesn't.
As far as quality goes...well I haven't attempted to cut the thing, but you can definitely tell its built well. No issues whatsoever with any part of it.
I got the longer version (60" i think) based on other reviews, and I'm glad i did, i use every bit of it.
It certainly is pricy, but i figure its cheaper than forking out the difference to farkle a replacement bike, so in that sense, its an inexpensive deterrent. Based on the looks of the chain and its heft, i think it's highly likely that a thief would attempt to work over another unprotected ride before making an effort on the abus.

Piece of mind in a small package
I own two abus locks. This particular model was my first one and I must say it is a short so you have to be pretty close to your locking pole or whatever you lock it to. I own 07 gsxr 600 and it fits into my solo seat cargo area. I also purchased their top end lock and its much heavier chain. For like mall trips and movies and other city stuff this is the best one up there for like locking your bike at night at apartment complex I would recommend Abus Granite Extreme its more tougher chain and much heavier.
City Plus features great security as as their top Extreme lock its just thinner chain and smaller lock portion other than that you still use top end high security lock. At the end of the day what do you want to sit on your bike and ride or dial 911 for stolen bike. We as riders put money, effort and soles into these metal machines why not keep them safe and secured. I personally try to protect my bike from anyone trying to get it free. Ride safe and keep two wheels on the road.

Its really good I feel more saver with it on my bike, but it short
Its a great chain. Its make it really hard to steel your bike. Added with a good disc lock is the perfect combination, but the chain is short( but I guess that ok because you shoulding leave the chain laying on the ground

Strong and Heavy lock
Great lock. But I wish I purchased the longer one for just a few more dollars. The extra length would had went a long way (no pun intended).

This chain is great. It has all the security you need. They are pricy but safety has a price.
