Anchor is well built
I bought this anchor to secure my bike in the garage. The quality is very good, however installing it takes some serious patience. Make sure to drill the hole deep enough in the concrete before tapping in those bolt shields. Drilling one hole can take up to 45min. I had to take several breaks. Once in its very secure!

Strong anchor and easy to install
Gave me an excuse to buy a hammer drill, which is awesome. Three holes and BLAM you've got a permanent anchor to chain things to. Includes everything you need except the drill, including masonry bits, which makes this already great value even better.

So far, so good
This item installed fairly easily, but it really DOES require that you use a hammer drill or you'll be doomed to failure and/or frustration- I used one and it still wasn't a simple process.
The item looks like it should do what it's designed to do, although the proof is in the pudding- I have no idea just how well it'll stay attached to the ground, and I almost wish there were more than just three lag bolts.

Dan S: I added this lock for an added layer of security with the alarm and fork lock. Since it bolts into the concrete it's quite secure, especially if you seal the bolt heads with the included ball-bearings. I broke a couple of the included concrete anchors so had to go to Home Depot to buy more, which I felt were a better design anyway. On this note make certain your drilled holes have no small obstructions or you may also break an anchor while tapping it in. Otherwise I like this product. ~Dan SAug 21, 2014
Devonson S:I have one of theses and the anchor and boots look like they are zinc coated. I haven't had any issues although it is in a leaky garage I but balls down and capped up I can't check. You might want to contact the manufacturer for a definitive answer. I love it it's a solid product.Sep 12, 2013
