Works well as lock, alarm is not sensitive.
Works fine as a disc lock, but as others have noted, the alarm is very insenstive. Someone could definitely sit on the bike or move the wheel quite a bit before it goes off.

Here's a video of me setting off the alarm:

Easy to use and SAVED my bike from theft
This is a great lock and easy to use. The ability to turn the alarm on/off while it is still locked is what drew me to this disk lock. I can have my bike in the back of my truck locked up without the alarm going off. Three weeks after I bought the disk lock someone tried to steal my bike while it was sitting in my front driveway one night. The alarm was loud enough to wake up my family and chase the would be thieves away. After that incident I was recommending it to my coworkers who ended up having two bikes stolen recently because he neglected to put any locks on his bikes.

Good Product
I have a chopper and I definatly feel more comfortable leaving it set on the street even if just for a few minutes with this lock on the rear wheel. Fits perfectly and is very loud.

Cheapest alarm disc lock I found
I am moving to an apartment complex soon and I wanted an additional layer of security for my scooter so I wouldn't have kids hopping up on it or playing with it.

I chose this one because it was the cheapest one with an alarm built into it. The Xena was close behind it.

The lock is heavily built and I suspect that it would take while for anyone to get this off without a key. Easily opens and closes, can lock without the alarm on as well.

When on the front caliper, I can still move the wheel side to side but if I try to pick the wheel up and set it back down, the sudden impact will turn it on. There is a 5 second light beep, once per second then if you don't turn it off by key within that time, the 15 second siren comes on and is much louder.

It is not as sensitive as I had hoped but the entry level lock does it's job. If someone were to try to pick it up and load it into a truck, this would definitely go off and hopefully get people's attention.

Worth the money for sure.

Great Value
This lock is definitely a great quality for a good price. The body is solid, and I love how loud the alarm is.

Decent lock
I have only used it once and it worked as described. I live in a decent neighbor hood, but the thought of my bike breaking down somewhere, having this might make someone think twice.

Sturdy and loud
Had a smaller disk lock without alarm for the previous bike.
This is a nice upgrade.
It is very sturdy and the alarm is load (tested it with ear protection).
Will for sure slow down someone that tries to take my bike.

Great Lock. Not too sensitive Good/Bad (depending)
First off this lock is not as sensitive as a XENA. Depending, that could be a good thing or a bad thing.

If someone tried to move your bike, it would definitely go off and its definitely loud enough. However, someone could probably sit on it without it going off.

The lock is solid built and being brightly lit makes it difficult to forget. I like to lock my rear wheel instead of my front.

I have noticed the orientation in which you lock your wheel can affect its sensitivity. If you lock it so it hangs vertically and doesnt rest on the rotor, you will have a sensitive enough lock. If you rest the lock against the rotor, than it will most likely not go off unless its moved forward because it needs the Gs of a swinging motion to go off.

Overall I'd rock this if you are concerned about false alarms, or get the XENA if you are concerned about someone even poking your bike.

Effective, visible, mostly reliable.
I bought this for the very obvious reason of security and it's done just fine helping keep my bike safe. The lock has a nice weight to it that gives me ease knowing someone has some work cut out for them if they are going to try and hack it off.

My only gripe with the lock is that after a while it will have its moments where it will refuse to open. You'll have to take the key out and flip the key around after about three or four times it will give way. (Think of a stubborn USB)
