Excellent jacket
I'm 6'2" 150#, 37in chest with flat stomach (a muscular broomstick). The small fit me perfectly.
Snug with the liner in, and comfortable when worn unlined. The arms are the perfect length for me and the torso is too, which is a unique experience for me.Usually it's one or the other.

The extra exterior padding on top of the standard armor is very reassuring and actually looks pretty nice. The reflective material is brilliant and everywhere, like a First Responder Jacket. Just what I wanted.

Materials and craftmanship are excellent. And the color!
It is Super Hi Viz and Ultra Low Sexy. It's a jacket designed to keep you from getting in a wreck or getting laid. If it was black I'd be either exhausted or dead by now, it's that effective at being seen by distracted drivers while rendering me invisible to beautiful women.

I only have two (other) gripes. The lower cargo pockets in front are surprisingly small... I have to carefully position my reading glasses to get them in there. All the other pockets are sensibly positioned and well proportioned. I like the asymmetry of that one black chest pocket.

And then the stretchy gripper cuffs at the sleeve end, with thumb holes. My thumbs are like me, long and thin, but the thumb holes in these are so small I can barely fit my thumbs in them. While they would be nice in winter, my gauntlet gloves render them redundant, and now in spring, they restrict airflow up the sleeves when I'm wearing shorty gloves. So today I just cut them off. Much better. I have arm warmers if I need to double down beyond adding the liner, which is super nice. I did ride it on a 38 degree day, took it up to 70mph and was very comfortable. Today it was almost 70 and without the snug sleeve cuffs that I cut out, I put this over a tank top and had a great ride with all the vents open.

I do wish there were vents on the arms. But when things get that hot (Georgia), I'll change to my HiViz Olympia Switchback, that's all mesh. I'd call this Triumph Expedition a three season (cold) jacket.

At the sale price, this jacket was a crazy good deal. I lucked out that the small fit me perfectly.

My other jackets are Rev'it Vapor, medium, and a vintage leather Modeka that I got from a shop in Romania, size 50. The Rev'it is too tight in the body but right in the sleeves, and the Modeka fits me like it was tailor made.

too small
As all the other comments have said, it runs small, not a little small, very small. Do not buy a small unless you are extra S.
Fitment guide is not helpful. Customer service was nice but not knowledgeable in sizing. However free shipment out and EZ return made life simple. Looks like an OK jacket, Lots of features. Crappy small coil zipper probably will not last. Not worth the original price. Super deal at the blow out price if you are the rare person that it firs

Very High Quality Jacket
Ordered this jacket on the closeout sale, I was concerned about the reports of it fitting under size from other reviews, but when you can snag a $455 jacket for under $200, it's worth taking the chance. I am certainly glad I did! I am 6' 1" and 150lbs, (proverbial "bean pole" I guess) and ordered the size Small. It fits me perfectly, all the armor sections line up at the right spots when on the bike, and the plethora of adjustment snaps and the elastic back straps hold the jacket right where it's supposed to be. I will say however that being as thin as I am, I can definitely see where a more average sized rider may need to size up, especially with the liner zipped in. The sleeve length is great, and the addition of the under-glove thumbhole cuffs is an excellent feature for colder rides. Air flow is moderate, only taken one short ride with it yet but the vent sections are generously sized and seem to hold open pretty well, though it is clearly not meant for the heat of summer. Out of the box the jacket is a bit stiffer than others I've had, but I would say that'll probably break in after a few good trips with it. Overall I'd highly recommend this jacket to anyone looking for a feature packed, high visibility 3 season, and after trying it myself I'd say I would buy it again even at full price.

The jacket fits great and it's comfortable (for a motorcycle jacket). I am really impressed with the features and quality of materials used - which is what I've come to expect from Triumph.

Best bang for dollar
I wear this but with Forcefield CE2 back armor plan to change out the stock armor for Forcefield CE2, it really shines in the winter thought even the thermal removed it can get pretty hot in the summer. One piece of advice be careful when pulling your arms out of the jacket to take it off.

Love It
Bought this several years ago. The fit was tight but I removed the liner and it fit much better. Not I use heated harley gear under it, plugged into the bike, and the combination is superb. Now, if I can find a cool matching glove to keep my hands as warm as the jacket and liner, I'll be really happy. Anyway, a tough, cool jacket that fits tight. Order up, size-wise.

slightly small, not as small as everyone claims
I'm 5'6", 155 to 160lbs, 36 to 40inch chest size depending on whether if I slouch and the measuring tape is pulled taunt and squeezing into my pectorals or if I flex.

I usually wear small and prefer slim fits. My biggest concern was size. But this seemed like a great jacket at the sale price with small being the only size left in stock, so I rolled the dice and ordered it. I haven't used it riding yet, but wanted to put up a review in case other people are concerned about the small size.

It is SLIGHTLY small, to the point that if i keep the inner liner in and am wearing a thin hoodie, I can't bench press or do dips or fully push out my chest in the jacket with the front zipper zipped up out of fear that i'll bust open that zipper. But for riding position and just standing normally (I'm normally slightly slouched anyway), the size is perfect. Length is also kind of on the short side for me with some t shrits being longer than the jacket, but that doesn't bother me too much. The forearms area is slightly snug for me, but that just means the armor will stay in place. I duno what other people are talking about being unable to get their arms into the jacket. (They must be doing lots of curls). I just got into motorcycle riding last week though, so i'm not exactly sure how other jackets are supposed to fit.

Other stats: size 30x30 levis, can bench 3 sets of 10reps at 1 plate a side? (looollzz)

Insane jacket for the price
My brother turned me onto this jacket after it was being discounted to ~200$. Wow what a value. This jacket has protection for the back, elbows, and shoulders. The liner is incredibly toasty, as I like to stay on the colder side I only wear it if temps are 60 or below typically, and even then I'll keep the vents open. Its got two front vents, a back vent, and side vents. I like the pockets a lot, its got 4 pockets on the front of the jacket (I rarely use these as I'm paranoid of stuff falling out.. but it never does). What I like most is when you open up the front buttons, theres a zippered pocket there, so you dont have to unzip the jacket to get out stuff like your phone. Under neath the zipper theres another zippered pocket inside, with a banded pocket also.

I'm 5' 7" 155 lb with a ~38" chest and I got the medium. It fits very nice and snug. Room for a shirt and maybe a small sweater underneath.

Havent tested its waterproof-ness yet.
The jacket definitely stands out on the road though.

The only feature I wish it had was a gaiter! but for the price you really would be hard to beat this jacket.

I'm 6'1" and 185lbs, wearing a size LG usually. I ordered an XL because everyone was suggesting to order at least one size up, however the jacket was huge on me. Shoulders and arms was ok, but the gut area was a bit too large and when I tried to adjust it with the straps there was still too much room to feel like it would be a proper fit.
Features-wise though it's a great jacket! Nice finish and great details. I will get a LG.
Zsolt M on Jan 19, 2017

do you have a video on this jacket? If not can you make one?
A C on Oct 3, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I'd be happy to make a short video...but I'm no Anthony!
Does the inner thermal liner of this jacket have a zippered pocket?
David Z on Nov 16, 2015
BEST ANSWER: There is not a pocket in the liner but there are two slits in the liner to access two zippered pockets and one net pocket in the main shell on the inside.
How does this jacket fare in summer or warmer weather when you remove the thermal liner and open up all the air vents?
Jeron G on Mar 20, 2017
BEST ANSWER: This jacket performs well with the liner removed and vents open. It's comfortable in warm weather.
Would this jacket look weird on a sportbike?
Ken V on Jan 7, 2017
BEST ANSWER: I just tried the jacket on last night and love the fit and padding and insulation. I don't personally think it would look weird on any bike, I ride a 2013 BMW f800gs. For me this is an insurance policy that you ride with and the color says "can you see me". The protection is marvelous. I would normally wear a Lrg. but ordered a 2XL because of reviews I read and it fits great. I am 180 lbs and 6 feet tall. Materials are great and sewing and construction top notch esp. for the price. I hope this helps.
I normally wear an XL. Im 6'4" tall, 230 lbs. any recommendation on what size I should get?
Danny G on Jan 18, 2017
BEST ANSWER: We're almost exactly the same size - I might be 10 lbs heavier - and I just got the 2XL. Fits well. An XL will be too small for sure! Even with the 2XL, the arms are strangely tight with the liner in, but otherwise it's a good fit.
What pants/bibs compliment the wind, water, thermal charistics about this jacket?
Jake H on Dec 1, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I am giving this to my husband for Christmas. So I will let you know. Thanks Randi
Hey guys, the consensus is that this jacket is a size or two too small. What size do you recommend for a 44 inch chest? XL or XXL?
Jeron G on Mar 6, 2017
BEST ANSWER: I'm a 43" chest. I went with a large since 43" is the smaller end of that size according to the chart. It fits great with all the layers in and I still have a bit of room to wear some additional layers if needed (underarmor, thermal, and I think a microfleece under the jacket and I could still move). I'm 6'0", 185lb, and I lift. So far I'm really pleased with the jacket.
Does this jacket come with built in shoulder, elbow, and back protection?
A C on Jun 30, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Yes. The jacket comes with built-in shoulder, elbow and back protection.
Is this waterproof from the outside or from an interior liner?
A shopper on Apr 13, 2018
BEST ANSWER: It seems like it will be pretty repellant, but it's "official" waterproofness comes from the liner. If it stops shedding rain, I'll probably recoat it with some 3M repellant.
