Great investment
cinchingunfazedLorettamaterialrigidlyI have had many sets of throw over saddlebags over the years and feel for "dual sport" you couldn't pick a better bag. I have these on my 2015 KLR running Dirt Racks crash bars and they fit as if they were made for the KLR. Previously I was running a set of the Nelson Rigg Survivor series with plastic trash cans inside for some rigidly, functional but they sagged. The internal stiffener on the SE-3050's works like a charm. They are made of the same material as the survivor series and is very durable. I took a pretty good dump on the Gloretta Pass in NM with the Survivor Series and the bags were unfazed. I'm confident the new bags will hold up well. In the past I have broken plastic buckles and had them come unhooked when cinching them down, not an issue with the metal fasteners. The top straps will let you mount a multitude of things/bags to them ... Very pleased with the purchase ...

Perfect on FZ-07
I just got back from a 500 mile trip from Detroit to Chicago and back. These bags stood up to everything (heat, humidity, sun, torrential downpours) and didn't budge or tear.

They flex enough if you're not careful and shove them full of stuff, but will also hold their shape all day if you take your time to pack. The straps are really easy to use, and it wasn't hard to take stuff out that I needed during rest stops.

The included tote bags are brilliant - it made unloading my clothes a cinch when I got to Chicago. I left my tools in the bags on the bike, and simply took everything else in the totes.

Also, I was able to use the top straps on the bags to tie down my Kryptonite chain lock, and it didn't budge at all for the trip.

To use these bags on an FZ-07, you have to make some sort of saddlebag rack. I bent a steel beam, drilled some holes, and bolted it to the passenger footpegs. For $18 or so, this gave me a place to tie the bags down, and kept them secure and off the rear wheel for the whole trip.

Overall this was a fantastic purchase.

Great bags for the price!
I received these today and installed them on my 2016 BMW F700GS. It was a bit of a struggle getting the stiffeners into the bags - I finally flattened it with my foot inside the bag - but other than that they installed easily. The quality seems top-notch. I also have the Ortlieb waterproof bags on my 2013 Moto Guzzi V7 Stone, and these are very similar. I'm looking forward to putting them to the test over the next weeks. Sure beats the cost of hard bags on the GS, and offers some tip-over protection to boot without ruining the bags. They are also much lighter in weight than hard bags would be.

Tough, well built, and affordable!
These bags are rugged and tough. Fully waterproof, well built bags. I love the inner bags, as they make packing and removing all of the contents a breeze. It’s a lot of buckles and straps to deal with, but I appreciate the hardiness of the the all metal hardware. The stiffener supports work great once you wrestle them in there. I have SW Motech racks on my DL650 and these attached to them with no problems. The attachment straps are quite long, so instead of wrapping them around the racks twice as recommended I went around them 6 or 7 times. Everything held perfectly in place over a 5 day 1600 mile trip.

Bang for your buck
These bags held up on a 6 day 3300 mile trip on June 28th 2018 from NYC to Newfoundland and Labrador. I was with two other riders who are friends of mine. We did the loop on the Trans Labrador Hwy 500 & 510.

250 miles of hard dirt, pot holes and gravel. Going up to the TLH we hit 389 north first which had about 70 miles of packed dirt, loose and deep gravel. This 70 mile stretch was worse than the TLH I thought. At one point I thought to myself what the hell did I get myself into. But there was no turning back so I calmed myself as best I could and forged ahead.

Anyways these bags went through hell weather wise with thunderstorms all day the first day up. Everything kept dry. Then the TLH with the gravel, dirt and pot holes like you wouldn't believe. My BMW 650GS Twin made it through like a champ and these bags did as well. Me? I was popping Motrin for the next 5 days. But I did it without a scratch and never dropped the bike. I'm proud of myself for this accomplishment. But believe me there were moments where I doubted my abilities. I wouldn't say I'm a beginner for off road riding but I wouldn't say I'm an expert either.

I purchased for $179.00 on Revzilla and now I see they are on sale for $159. I can't believe how cheap of a price these bags are for such good quality.

These bags made it through the Trans Labrador Hwy, straps held up. Didn't budge or break. I had them strapped to a SW Motech EVO Quick Lock rack. But you can use any rack for these.

I survived the TLH and so did these bags.I highly recommend them. Buy them before they realize they are selling at too low a price.

High quality, low cost.
Easy to install. Looks good, holds shape, has inserts to keep shape when empty. Quality construction. Has inner bags for easy removal of contents. D-rings for other attachments. Straps to attatch gear on top. Half the price and better than a similar set of wolfman bags I bought in the past. I likey.

Excellent Simple Bags
Easy to install tons of room, and the inner bags are a god send! Not feature packed but there are other bags that cost way more and have way less. If you want bags that will work for just about everything and don’t want to spend a furtune get these.

Great bags, good price
Fit my '18 Versys 650 great, dont have pannier racks but added a cross piece from my passenger foot peg to the license plate frame. Works perfect for a ton of waterproof luggage space. Only complaint is they are not easy to get things in/out of but that is the price of waterproofing.

Best value for soft bags
I had a set of these on my F 800 GS and now My Africa Twin. Very durable and roomy. You can't beat the price. They are dust, and water proof. Just make sure the straps across the seat are tight. If not they droop a bit. Once I tightened them up they ride nice and square on the bike

I have a set of Ortlieb saddlebags that are very similar to these. But, they fit my 2013 Moto Guzzi V7 better than my 2016 BMW F700GS, so I'm going to move them back to the Guzzi and use these new Nelson Riggs on my BMW. These also appear to be a bit larger and have the liner bags included.

Can these be installed without having side racks?
Corey B on Apr 17, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Probably not. They hang pretty low on an average pillion seat / rear frame, so you will need at least a beam or bar to keep them off the rear wheel.
How is the size? Can you pack a lot?
Jessica H on Apr 19, 2017
BEST ANSWER: The size is great. You can stuff things into each bag and they expand vertically until you run out of material to fold over. Even then you could use them in a pinch to carry something tall by bungeeing it in place. I'm surprised at how much they hold.
Do you know if will fit in BMW f800gs adventure with origianl rack?

BEST ANSWER: Yes they will
I have a bmw R1200gs 2016. Do I need a rack to install these?
Murray B on Jan 10, 2018
BEST ANSWER: You don't necessarily need a rack but I would definitely recommend it. Without a rack the bags would rub/bounce against your bikes body. I love these bags otherwise and definitely would recommend buying these
Has anyone tried these on a versys 650?
A shopper on Apr 22, 2018
BEST ANSWER: I have them on my versys 650 and the work great. I mounted them to my happy trails rack.
What are the other bags featured in photo 11 called?
A shopper on Apr 9, 2018
BEST ANSWER: They are usually described as roll-down (or roll-top) drybags. Thinks of them as durable waterproof stuffsacks.
I have a 2007 Yamaha FZ1, how well will these fit on my bike?
Tyler U on Jul 26, 2017
Has anyone tried these on a Versys X with Happy Trails racks? I'm wondering about exhaust clearance.
Steve G on May 31, 2018
BEST ANSWER: I would not forsee a problem with them fitting. If you have already installed the Happy Trails sideracks (and the racks don't interfere with the exhaust) them just be certain to position the bottom edge of the saddlebags NO LOWER than your Happy Trails rack lower edge. In other words: Don't hang these saddlebags lower than the rack; keep it flush and they shouldn't be a problem.
Do these come as a set or do they have to be purchased individually X2?
A shopper on Nov 12, 2017
BEST ANSWER: This is a set of two bags. Also includes two lift out bags to make loading into and out-of easier if you want to leave the bags attached to the bike.
how do they fit on royal enfield himalayan?
A shopper on Dec 14, 2018
