Motogadget m-Unit V.2 Digital Control And Fuse Box

If you are building a completely custom bike or simply (not simply) redoing the wiring on your bike, this digital fuse box can be the brain of your bike's electrical system. The m-Unit keeps all input wires on one side and all output wires on the other. Digital fuse box means no fuses. An indicator light at the circuit terminal will flash if a short occurs. Correct the fault, re-cycle the switch and get back out on the road. Everything is solid state so there are no mechanical components that can potentially fail. This also replaces the turn signal relay on your bike and even has a built-in configurable alarm function.

Features:

  • 8 independent output circuits
  • 8 independent input circuits
  • Configurable on-board alarm function
  • Configurable turn signal function
  • Configurable brake light modulation
  • Accepts momentary switch input for headlight
  • Mounts via two M5 bolt holes 84mm apart
  • Dimensions: 101mm x 61mm x 28mm (4" x 2.4" x 1.1")
  • Operating voltage: 4V-25V

Does this unit have a built in battery charging regulator/rectifier or would i still need one?
A C on Apr 12, 2017
BEST ANSWER: The M-Unit does not have a built in battery charging regulator/rectifier. You will have to buy one separately specific to your bike. At this moment I can't remember the site I ordered my regulator/rectifier from but I spent around a 100 dollars for a really good one and it's made a world of difference for my reliability. Cheers
How is this protected against exposure to the weather? I ride in all conditions so more often than not that means my electrical (fuses etc) are exposed to water on some level or another.
james h on Oct 14, 2016
BEST ANSWER: It does say in the manual that you have to protect it. While the case appears to be water proof the connectors are not.
Will it work with my big dog handlebar controls or do I need to replace them also? 2006 K9
A shopper on Sep 13, 2016
BEST ANSWER: The three button style? Should work totally fine, in the m-unit set up you can change the type handcontols used so you can use button controls, switched or a combination of both like most Japanese bikes use
