Good, but weird fit
While I agree with a lot of the gripes in the torso, you’re essentially buying a high end rain jacket with hockey pads attached, it could never cut a slim figure. I’m a fairly athletically built man, but this jacket makes me look like Kevin smith playing goalie. The one big issue with the fit is the arms. They’re a touch long, but a good pair of gloves keeps the sleeve length ok while riding. My concern however is the elbow guards, they have a tendency to swim in their pockets. The pants have the same problem. They guessed how long a humans limbs where and assumed that the joint would be somewhere around 2/3 the way through. It makes me wish they hadn’t removed the second arm adjustment strap. My only other complaints are the spot holder is too small to use other styles of PLB and I’ve had hemerhoids that were less of a pain in the ass than getting the hydration bladder in place. That being said it breathes pretty well, protects fairly well, and I still think I made the right choice. If you’re looking for a proper fit I might recommend going tighter rather than looser. I know the idea is to bring your own base layer, but it feels pretty warm with the vents closed on its own. If you ride mostly warm weather go smaller, it will help with armor placement.

Another Fit Issue to Consider
I'm 6'1, 235, wear a 17.5/35 shirt, size 40 pants, and a 48 suit. I've been using gear from BMW and Aerostich to date with good results. Have tried different Klim generations, and found the fit weird, but the new stuff is pretty good for me. The XL seems to fit about as well as an off the rack jacket could fit. But there are some quirks. Like others say, the sleeves are a little long, but perfect for me when on the bars. The cuffs could open a little bigger to make it easier to do sleeve over glove. I don't have Popeye arms, but the forearms are a little tight. (the BMW Eduroguard jacket was unacceptably tight in the forearms for some reason) The elbow armor is ok, but i need to locate it back past my elbow after putting the jacket on. I still have enough room to get an insulator under the shell when needed.

But here's the warning... When you try the jacket on, you'll notice that the skirt covers your hips and and there is a drop seat that covers your butt. You'll probably have plenty of room standing in front of the mirror with the jacket zipped and the hem snapped. If you put the Badlands pants on, you'll notice that the hip armor is fairly robust. It takes quite a bit of room. but fits under that skirt ok. You'll still have room standing in front of the mirror. Now hop on a bike. If it is a bike that bends your knees pretty well, you'll still be ok. Now go sit on a BMW R1200 GSA. Oh oh. In my case the bottom hem, when snapped closed, does not have enough room to let me move my legs freely. Something about the ADV bike seating position requires more room bellow the hip joint. The jacket is just long enough and the hem circumference just small enough that it is restrictive.

I suggest you test fit the whole suit on a bike before you commit to purchase!

I've ridden in the jacket now so I cant return it. My personal strategy is to try to loose 15 pounds so I can wear this incredibly crafted garment more comfortably. Win-win all around!

Love the jacket, strange sizing
I love the jacket, and I do want to jump into the sizing discussion here. I'm 42yo, 185 lbs and 6 feet tall.

Overall the medium is definitely the correct fit for me. It's a little tight in the chest, but overall fits well. The Large (recommended by Klim's website) is foolishly large. Waaaay too much room in the torso, the arms cinch all the way down and I can still move around inside, and the wrists have too much fabric.

Another reviewer mentioned more granular sizing would be nice, and I have to agree.

I wish the pockets were water resistant, but I can get over it.
