Why did you choose this?

I didn’t want to have to upgrade later on down the road. I figured I can use it to segregate my heated gear or if I have passenger I can share with her.

The dual control on this allows me to heat my top and bottom separately, when I ride the bike with the large windscreen my legs needs a little more heat than my chest, when riding without the windscreen my chest needs a bit more heat than my legs.

I have one for myself and have put it thru the ringer for two years. Rain, snow and it has not failed. Get the pouch and put it on the outside of your jacket so you can adjust the temp going down the road. This one is for my brother.
Robert W on Dec 25, 2014
Gerbings controllers may claim to be more advance but are not, if they are shorted they will need to be replaced while the firstgear/warm&safe will shut themselves off instead.
F O on Nov 30, 2014

What is the maximum power output from each channel? Looking to heat a jacket liner and pants liner on one channel, gloves on the other one.
Evan S on Sep 16, 2014
BEST ANSWER: Sorry, but I can't attest to this as I only use mine for jacket liner on one and gloves on other. I don't have the pants heater. I just wear leather pants or chaps over blue jeans. If it gets below 25 degrees then I'll do leather pants and leather chaps. Works great for me.
Hope this helps.
Need new heat controller will it work on Gerbing Liner.
A shopper on Nov 17, 2011
BEST ANSWER: Yes it will. It just controls the amount of power going to the jacket. I am thinking of getting a dual controller myself to increase the power going to my gloves separately.
Will the plug work with my Ducati Multistrada Grand Tourismo oem power port?
Brian R on Oct 2, 2017
BEST ANSWER: No, but you can buy and adapter that will connect to a Powerlet adapter. The manufacturer recommends to run a line from the battery.
I plan on powering this through a Powerlet plug. What size fuse should there be in the Powerlet line?
A shopper on May 20, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Wire direct to battery! Fuse in cable and I think it's a 15. It's works great !!
how long are the output leads?
