Works as expected
I recently returned from a 1800 mile, two-week trip to the Canadian Maritimes. I bought this bag (in orange) to stow my 2-person backpacking tent, lightweight down sleeping bag, and inflatable sleeping pad. It did so with ease, and offered up extra room for items I wanted easily accessible - rain gear and first aide kit. I appreciated the interior mesh pocket for storing small odds and ends like a deck of cards.

We experienced a decent amount of rain, including a downpour or two, and everything inside the bag stayed dry. Bear in mind, however, that it also does a good job of sealing water in... storing a wet tent in it during a warm, sunny day meant that the inside - and everything else in it - got a bit damp. Nothing that was concerning, just good to know if you plan to store electronics in it as well as your potentially wet gear. The zipper pockets on the side are not waterproof so don't put anything in them that can get wet.

I was also a little over zealous when lashing an item to the top and a small tear developed in one of the lash points - being more careful and not over-tightening the strap would have prevented this and it probably didn't need to be as tight as I made it. I believe the material chosen for these lash points will not tear further.

The bag mounted easily to my 2016 Honda CB500X and I never felt like it was in danger of coming loose, even on our travels along the dirt roads of Nova Scotia.

I recommend the DrySpec D38 Rigid Drybag and I would buy it again.

Great sturdy bag with easy attachment
The difference between this bag and the competitors is that this bag has a rigid lining which makes it very sturdy on the bike. You don't have to pack it full of gear for it to sit solid on the bike. The attachments straps make it very easy for on and off.

Update
I just realized that I never updated my initial review after using it for the trip for which it was purchased.

1570 miles in five days, from Southern GA to Metro DC via SC, NC, TN, VA, and WV. Rode interstate, backroads, and dirt roads in the Smokies and mostly forgot it was on the back of the bike with a week's worth of clothes and gear in it. Even schooled a young man on a 250 Kawi dirt bike on the fine art of sliding through corners fully loaded. Once it's strapped down, it's locked in place. Getting it strapped in is a bit fiddly at first, but once you have the bag packed and the straps adjusted, it's easy on/off in seconds. Spent a morning in the rain in the Smokies and nothing even hinted at being wet inside. All in all I'd say the quality is good and the construction is too. It's always possible to get one with a bad seam in it, but I certainly didn't.

Perfect tail bag!!!
I was planning on adding an aluminum topbox to my F800GSA over the winter until I met a couple fellas at a bike show over the winter. Thankfully, they talked me into buying this bag for safety reasons. They pointed out the dangers of back injuries caused by the rider striking a hard topbox after being rear ended. Plus I saved several hundred dollars!!! The bag looks great and does keep its shape. Now I have plenty of storage and can leave my panniers in the garage for my daily commutes. Pluse it will hold my helmet!
I purchased the Orange for higher visibility!

Kept everything dry and mud free!
I strapped this to a Cyclerack mounted to my XR650L. Kept all our gear dry through a day long ride on muddy, gravel roads as well as paved roads at highways speeds all during rain and drizzle. I thought it was easy to strap and unstrap to the rack. Would buy again.

Rides really well
I put 300 miles on the bike with this bag, fully loaded, strapped to the luggage rack and back seat two days ago, and it never moved. After a while I forgot it was even back there.

Strapping it down is a little fiddly, but once you get it locked in place, it is rock solid. The rigidity helps in that. It's amazing what they accomplish with a simple piece of semi-rigid plastic.

The only 'negative' is that the opening in the back is kind of small and tight, but it's a dry bag, so I fully expected that to be the case. I can't really comment on the durability, since I've only used it the one time to date, but it shows no indication of ever having been used so far. Still looks brand new.

Great bag
I wish the mouth was wider. Otherwise, can't complain. The semi-hard bag concept is brilliant. Saves weight, gives you lower center of gravity than a topbox. The other advantage to this design is that you can pack a second bag and strap it on top of this one, and having the plastic shell will stabilize the bag on top.
