Using the Clutch Evo in dead winter
I have been wearing them for the last two months with temperatures just above zero degrees, we had the worst weather conditions and the heaviest snow for a long time. I have listened Anthony's advice to get the right size and the fitting is perfect and no problems with the controls. I think the gloves offer enough water resistance and the only problem seems to be in protection from cold. In strong winds the glove just lets the fingertips start to feel the cold and makes me uncomfortable even I have full handguards. Still I would recommend these gloves for riding in cold weather but not temperatures around zero degrees.

Finally tested it in the rain. Not happy.
I bought this as a second glove for the colder and wetter fall/winter season. After going through many of reviews I decided to go with this one. I've had this glove since the end of last year (Oct 2015). I have other Dainese gloves and like their fitment. Fitment was good with this glove as well.

For warmth, It is alright in moderate temps but in all honesty, this glove doesn't work well. It doesn't keep my fingers warm for long. Once I start moving, my finger tips get pretty cold. During short drives (10-15 minute drives) in light rain/sprinkling, it does keep my hand relatively but it can get moist sometimes.

Yesterday (3/20) I finally had a chance to use the gloves during a torrential downpour. I rode for an hour and my fingers were already wet 20 minutes into the ride. 40 minutes of riding with wet cold fingers was terrible. I was not a happy camper. For the price of this pair of gloves, I was really really disappointed.

Super comfortable gloves that offers moderate cold resistance
Background: I wanted a pair of gloves that would save my hands from the biting chill and is that is also water resistant.

Summary: This glove is super comfortable, the best that I own. I own a Alpinestars SP1 - size M. Every time I wear it I had to fight. May be I bought the wrong size.

I bought the same size M and this Dainese slides like kinfe in a butter. That is how comfortable this is. I love it.

I however would have preferred if this had more protection in the cold. I drove my bike bike in rain when the temperature was in the low 40s and I could feel the chill.
Still I love this gloves. I cannot comment much about protection but hey this is Dainese :)

Great winter glove
I live in Sydney so the weather is mild. For me these are perfect winter or wet weather gloves. Keep my hands perfectly warm and dry. Very comfortable. Fit well. Still have reasonable feel on the throttle.

Comfort, warmth, protection and good tactile feel
After a good amount of research and loving my Dainese 4 strokes, I decided to go with the Clutch D-Dry EVOs. They offer solid protection and insulation without that 'oven mitt' feeling that so many gloves seem to have. Their fit is consistent with other Dainese gloves. It will be interesting to see how the new Rainlong gloves are (essentially gauntlet versions of this with touch feature for smartphones), but as of now they werent available until the spring... Im very happy with these, and I hope that they will continue their value deep into winter riding. Thanks Revzilla!

Very warm
Gloves are very well made and look great. They will definitely keep your hands warm. They are a tad bulky and make it difficult to grip the handlebars and work the controls.

Frustratingly Competent
This is a very strange glove-

It's great at keeping your hands dry. It's terrible at keeping your hands warm.

It's comfortable and looks to provide decent protection but feels bulky and has no dexterity or feel for the controls.

Another odd element is that the outside of the glove remains soaking wet (even though the interior is dry). What that means is that if you get soaked in the morning, the gloves will still be very wet (along with whatever they were placed on) in the afternoon. It's just a strange thing to put on "wet" gloves at the end of the day.

I really wanted to like them. I've been wearing them through numerous rain storms during the California winter (naked bike, no hand guards) and they done well with the wet.

However, despite the bulk, weight and lack of dexterity associated with winter gloves, they do not provide the same level of warmth. Below 55 degrees on the highway and I found my fingers getting numb in a matter of minutes.

The biggest drawback is the lack of feel these gloves provide. No dexterity for my fingers and too much palm material always left me looking for excuses to not wear them in the rain. I never grew comfortable to the disconnect from the controls on my bike

To ride in the colder months...not as warm as I'd hoped...my hands get cold after riding in mid 50's for an extended period of time...HOWEVER, they are EXCEPTIONALLY comfortable!

How much warmth do these gloves provide in temperatures below 40 degrees? If they don't do much below 40 degrees, can you make a recommendation?
Scott L on Nov 26, 2014
BEST ANSWER: I wear these gloves on my 15 min commute to work, morning temps in the low 40s, traveling >65+mph; wind chill drops the temp in to mid 20s if not lower depending on speed. My finger tips do get a bit cold but considering the wind chill factor they hold up well. I would not recommend these for long (>30min), freeway speeds (>65), commutes in temps below 40. These are my first non heated winter gloves, so I would'nt be able to make any recommendations. Overall I love these gloves. They meet my needs. Hope this helps.
