Belstaff Long Way Up Gore-Tex Jacket
Belstaff takes a bold step into the modern era with the Long Way Up Gore-Tex Adventure Jacket. The jacket starts with a waterproof yet breathable shell of Gore-Tex Pro three layer laminated fabric. Shoulders and elbows are reinforced with Superfabric overlays that are discretely shaped and packaged like traditional shoulder and elbow wear panels. Neoprene lines the collar, and a supplemental storm collar is included to completely lock-out rain if the skies happen to break. For high effort ADV maneuvers, intake vents at the chest are paired with exhaust vents at the triceps and back panel for steady airflow at low speeds. All exterior vents, the main closure and two interior pockets feature waterproof YKK zippers. There's even a hidden stash pocket for safe storage of an extra passport or two.
The Long Way Up Jacket ships with an integrated kidney belt that is fully adjustable (and removable). Belstaff includes an internal back pocket designed for 2-3 liter hydration pouches (sold separately) and a drink hose retaining loop at the front shoulder. The jacket uses D3O impact armor for the elbows and shoulders that is rated to CE Level 2. A D3O Level 1 back protector and chest protector are also included. All impact armor is ventilated for added airflow. Overall, the Long Way Up Jacket is certified as a AA rated protective riding garment.
The only detail that remains in the "classic" era is the timeless trials jacket design. Materials, features and protection levels are all on par with the very best ADV jackets that the moto universe has to offer. Add Belstaff's signature styling, and Long Way Up Gore-Tex Jacket is truly "hemispheres" above the competition. Pair with the Long Way Up Gore-Tex Trousers, pick a cardinal direction, and go.
