Life saver
I've been wearing this for six-months. Comfort and fit were as advertised; I'm 5'9 and 180 lb and 32-33" waist, and I would not be able to gain any more weight in a Mediu. I only use it directly as my regular riding pants (instead of over-pants). They are ok with shorts but will be too warm or thick with jeans or work pants underneath (for San Diego weather).

But what's most important about these pants is its protection. I was just involved in a 40-45 mph crash with a big rig, and these pants (and my other gear) saved my life. The knee region was completely ripped due to the crash, but the bio-armor remained intact and protected my knees from the impact. I walked away with nothing broken nor any serious scrapes/road rash in my lower body. I just bought a second one as a replacement. It's a must!

Good Over Pants for Commuting
I commute to work most days on my CBR250R and bought these over pants to keep my work pants (khakis, etc.) clean and for added protection. They work well for this purpose.
The pros... they fit me nicely and are not too baggy. I'm 5'11" & 170 lbs. and typically wear 32"x32" jeans. I ordered the over pants in Medium and they fit great. They are easy to put on/take off even with motorcycle boots on. Each leg has a zipper that starts on the outside of the ankle and goes up and over your knee. The over pants connect to my Alpinestars Jaws Perforated Leather and Alpinestars Viper Air jackets with a waist zipper. Temperature-wise, they are comfortable for summertime commuting. I've worn them in the high 90's and while I was still hot the over pants didn't add appreciably to the discomfort. Lastly the knee/shin armor is decent and fits well.
The not so good... The hip armor is sad - 1/4" of perforated foam that may take the pain of a hip smack from a 10 to a 9.99. I just ordered a pair of Forcefield's Hip Protectors to replace the foam. The level of abrasion resistance is probably not the greatest. The 600 Denier fabric on the back and sides of the legs does not feel very sturdy.
Conclusion... I'll continue wearing these for warm weather commuting but will probably be looking for something more protective with less polyester in the future which will undoubtedly cost more. However, at this price point, the selection of over pants is not great and feel these are one of the better ones available.

A new rider's perspective
I've had these pants for about 7,500 miles of daily commuting now and so far they've been great! I haven't had the chance to test just how durable they are in a crash, but I'm hoping I will never have to. The padding in the hips tended to shift inside their pockets, so they needed to be readjusted every once in a while, but that's not a big deal to me. The knee padding doesn't have that problem and are the most pronounced pads in the entirety of the pants.

The fabric below the knees is light and makes for great airflow. As a new rider who had gone from a pair of heavy duty work pants to the Alpine Star's, it was kind of a shock to see there was literally no protection on the shins. The leg zippers go from the outside of the ankle all the way up past the inside of the knee, making removal of the pants very easy, even with riding boots on. I put them on and take them off twice daily without any problem.

I'm a 32/32 fit, so I purchased the Medium size pants and they ended up being a little snug with a pair of jeans on underneath. They aren't terribly uncomfortable, but there is no room for adjustment on the velcro waist bands. I figured if I'd worn them for a while, they'd stretch, but so far, they haven't, which is good and bad. The leg length ended up being perfect, placing the knee pads perfectly over my knees. I'm not sure if the blokes at Revzilla would let me return these pants for a Large pair considering how long it's been since I received them, which by the way, delivery was fast! Always a joy ordering from Revzilla.

For a first pair of riding pants, I'm very happy with them. I don't have any experience with anything other than these, so I wasn't sure if a perfect score made sense. If you're a 32/32 fit, I would definitely say that a Large is probably the more comfortable route, size-wise.

Large was good fit for typical 32-32 jeans
Fits very well over my 32W-32L jeans. Some of the material is mesh so abrasion protection may not be as good as other products, but the convenience of wearing these over my work pants is worth it to me. Air flow is great. Comes with combined knee/shin inserts. There are pockets for hip inserts but no hip inserts are included (there are flimsy pads instead). Zips into my T-Jaws Air jacket at the bottom of the jacket.

Great product, good air flow
I normally wear a 31/32 pant and the Medium size fits great. I tightened up the waist cinch straps a little and the legs go right down to the bottom of my feet, but not so far as I'm walking on them.

The pants offer great protection and good air flow, although I wish the air moved a little better through it. I also wished the pockets were pass through to underneath, but that's a personal preference. I do like that it zips to my Alpinestar jacket as well to provide complete coverage.

Overall, great product at a good price.

Gets the job done
I use these pants to commute to work, only 30 miles, and have no complaints thus far. Easy to get on and off over my boots and pants. I'm 5'8" and with a 33" waist and I ordered the large knowing I wanted them to be a little bit bigger to fit over my pants. They fit perfect, the knee protection is a tad low walking around obviously, but scoots right into place when I'm riding.

Pants are pretty much as expected
I've only had these pants for a couple weeks now, but they ended up being exactly how I expected them to be after reading the various reviews. The dual full-length side zips make these pants quite easy to get on and off over boots. I haven't had any problems with the top snaps letting loose like some other reviewers have described.

I'm about 5'9" and wear 33/30 jeans. I got the large and they fit me well over jeans. I haven't really had a chance to try them over shorts yet. They may be a bit baggy, but I think they'll be fine.

The velcro adjustments for the height of the knee pads are easy to use, but the left one doesn't seem to want to stay quite at the correct height. I rejoined the lower velcro and paid particular attention to lining up the two sides as best as possible. I hope it will make the knee pad stay at the correct height. My other concern will be about comfort when the summer temperatures get into the 80s and 90s. These pants have very little airflow, so they will probably be very hot.

I spent a long time going back and forth trying to decide whether to buy these over pants. I am happy with my purchase and would recommend these pants for somebody looking for extra protection and some extra warmth, especially for commute rides.

Great overpants
I'm a new rider and was hesitant about buying overpants as if i was to look doofy while riding or just let alone being there. I commute to work with all my gear on whenever i ride to work, also wear all the gear whenever i ride. but the pants fit perfect, i wear a 30 in jeans and a small fit just fine. feels like it's a bit long while just standing but you can adjust the end of the pants to tighten it around the sneaker/boot, whatever you're wearing. The pants zip up all the way up around the knees which makes it easier to put on and take off on the go which also you can remove without removing your footwear since i wear alpinestar smx-1 boots. while riding, it feels lovely, can get quite hot while sitting at a light and your buttocks can get sweaty but aside from that i feel like it's a wonderful overpants especially for the price and if you have an alpinestar jacket, it zips up to it as well which makes it a wonder as well; as for protection, it has some knee pads and some foam inserts on the hips, i can't speak on how good they are since i haven't went down and really wouldn't like to either.

Added protection, cool style
Wanted something I could wear over shorts in the tropical heat of Hawaii that offers protection and airflow. I'm a 32 waist with a 30 inseam. Ordered the small. Fits snug over a pair of jeans, but comfortable. Fits perfectly over a pair of shorts. Zipper on the leg comes up to the knee making it incredibly easy to put on or take off while wearing riding shoes or boots. Also like that it can zip into my AStars T-GP Pro Air Jacket.

my first pair of motorcycle pants
as stated this is my first pair of bike pants,i was abit reluctant to buy pants on line and since all the ones i tried on here at the local bike shops made me felt like i was wearing snow pants, decided to give revzilla a shot,i live in n.e.fla and choose to wear these as riding pants and not overpants.as far as fit, i was concerned because i have large thighs from years of doing squats in the gym and had a mindset that they would fit my waist but fitting my upper legs-that was the iffy part.ordered size large. well low and behold, they fit well, just tight enough on the upper thighs.my waist size is a 36,i'm 5'10" and 210lbs.the pants are abit long but i can live with that.did a through once over checking seams, stitching and zippers.well made product.good airflow while on the road, but the temps are still in the 60's-70's,will see how they perform in the coming months, i do plan on upgrading the hip armor.

I needed a pair of over pants for commuting to work. These have good protection, pretty good ventilation and are easy to get in and out of with boots on. There is no stretch panels in the grouch so you can't slide around and hang off very much. I wouldn't use these for the canyons or long tours..

They are supposed to be both sturdy in a crash and very breathable at the same time. They have the wrap around zipper that matches my jacket and they have padding in the hip which lots of pants don't.

I want protection for my legs, but not dedicated pants - something that I can use on the drive to work, etc. Summer time riding is also my primary aim, so ventilation is another core requirement. Finally, I have a T-GP R Air Jacket and these pants should pair up well with them
Patrick L on Feb 9, 2016
Great over pants. They breath really well and offer OK protection. The knee pads definitely move around so I don't know how much protection they will offer in a crash event.

Great acquisition, particularly if you will ride in warmer seasons. I'd use it in Brazil, and sometimes in the summer I'd use these overpants but ready to go to the beach under it... The ventilation is great to resist 90+ F on the asfalt. It is easy to wear and take it off.

A shopper on Jun 8, 2015
Can I use this not as an overpant but as an only pant that I wear for ride? Is it secure?
Enrique R on Jun 17, 2015
BEST ANSWER: @enrique - it's not the best thing to wear on its own. It has knee armor but the material is textile. I usually wear them over jeans so it's not much better. Considering the fact the most people don't wear leathers everyday if you're commuting they're better than jeans. That said, they're pretty baggy. Like wearing light snowboarding pants. Without pants underneath the armor may move around a ton and if you go down they might not hold on as well as if you wear something underneath. There are better options for daily use and for on off the bike like the rev'it denim series. I like these for throwing them on over pants though. There are zippers at the knees so it takes 20 seconds to put them on and take them off. Hope that helps.
