Put your leg over your bike to make sure they fit right!
I wanted to LOVE these pants. But they are weird-fitting. I'm 5'9", 165, and a size 10 in streets. For these I ordered a 12, because a 10 in another brand were too small. So the 12 is quite large at the waist and hips, understandably. But the thigh fit just right. But the fit was so tight that I could barely get my leg over the bike - definitely a safety issue. So sadly, they have to get a 1 star.

What I would love is pants that come up to a high waist, and still fit comfortably and protect me.

Good try, designers, but the pants needed a bit more beta testing!

Mostly love them
I've ridden wearing them and been a passenger with them on and overall I love and recommend them. I am 5-9", 140 lbs, high waisted, fairly thin legs, small behind, regular length legs. I bought size 8 tall and they are just a smidge too long but better that than too short.

I agree with other reviewers that the tops of the thighs and crotch area are too narrow and getting on and off is really not as fluid as it should be. The pants bind. I'm hoping they will loosen a bit over time but that is my biggest complaint. I am a slim person so they do work for me. If you have bigger thighs and bottom, these will be tricky for you I suspect. Hopefully Klim can tweak the design.

I am a touring rider but am getting into adventure and am taking a 2 week trip through Norway which is why I got the suit. My other pants are Dianese textile, can't remember name. Very soft, pliable, cool and comfy for warm days but need liner and warm leggings for cooler days. The Artemis pants perform so well in very cool, like 50 degrees F and also very hot, 90 degrees F. I was surprised. You feel the cold through the pants but zero wind and not much cold only wearing thin yoga sytle pants underneath. The vents worked really well for the hot day I rode last weekend. My knees got a little buffed after 6 hours riding in the heat but nothing to complain about. The air circulated as expected and though I was hot, it WAS hot outside, it was bearable. I don't think my Dianese pants would have been much cooler.

I'm not crazy about the pockets. Weird position. You can't really stand w/hands in them. I think the designers wanted to keep the hips fairly streamlined so there isn't any depth to the pockets. You can fit money, license, that sort of thing but even a key feels too tight. The only other thing about the pants is the zippered opening at the ankle seems to always catch on my foot peg on the left side. I ride a BMW RnineT which is known for odd foot peg location so maybe it's just situational but it would have been better if there was some velcro to hold that flap shut so it doesn't catch. I put some sticky velcro on but it peeled right off. I will probably try sewing some on if it continutes to bother me.

I got the jacket and I love it! Expensive but high quality and lots of features. I have tried lots of different brands and this suit is my favorite so far. We''ll see how I feel after two weeks riding to the Artic Circle in Norway. :-) I do think Klim got it pretty much right with the suit. Or at least moving in the right direction for women. Hear that other manufacturers??

Could be a great pant
As with other reviewers, I had some issues with the fit. I am 5'8" and 125 lbs and normally wear a size 4 or 6 Tall. I had to size up to a size 8 Tall for the thigh and butt - otherwise I couldn't get on my bike. As a result the waist is too big and I have the waist cinches all the way taken in.

Aside from that the venting is good and Klim finally added the adjustable hem closures! Which are great! The pockets are not much use but I open them for added venting.

The pant is very durable and the protection is excellent. After I sized up I find the pants extremely comfortable and easy to move in. I can easily layer under them on cooler days.

Strange, but true...
I really wanted to love these pants as much as I love the Artemis jacket. I don't. I ordered the size 16 because that's the right size for layering, for me. The waist was so enormous that I almost just sent them back. I'm talking 10 inches too big. I have a lifter booty and sizeable quads, so the legs fit okay-ish (when I sat on the bike). The pants would have genuinely fallen off my butt if I hadn't promptly zipped them to the jacket. As it stands, the size 14 would be impossibly small for my quads/hamstrings and I wouldn't be able to ride in it. I'm keeping the pants because I need pants, but that's about it. I'm using suspenders to keep them up and quietly snarling. I know it's a tradeoff between lower rise pants (wider waist) and higher rise pants that totally squish your midsection. I dunno. Seems like there's a better way, maybe adjustable waist band with a 10 inch play.

from a size 12 Lady
It fits a bit odd/low on the hips. Nice zippers for venting and velcro for the hips to tighten. I recommend trying on with different undergarments. Leggings are ok but the can squish the body to a different fit. I found I can wear my thin pants underneath better but the waistband does go higher than the suit.
