Why did you choose this?
Slim slide protection

Weird question not sure how to ask so I will just do it. Is there taint padding?
BEST ANSWER: I had to google "taint", and the answer is definitely no. They are very good shorts though, and I liked them enough to get a couple of pairs.
Will this offer any in the way of slide protection? I'd like some protection for cruising around town (under 50mph, mostly) but that would be useless if the foam pads tear apart upon sliding. They look more comfortable than the Dianese hard pant. Which would be more suitable for my application?
BEST ANSWER: These are lightly padded shorts best under an outer layer for abrasion resistance. They are made of a double layer of material with the pads sewn between them. When stretched you can see through the material a little. It is not opaque enough to wear as an outer layer. If you hit the road and slid in these without anything over them I think the material would shred pretty easily. As a light padding under riding pants though they are a nice pair of shorts.
Are these meant (or at least able) to be worn under track leathers for extra protection?
BEST ANSWER: I am not certain if they were meant to be expressly worn under leathers. They certainly fit on top of my under armor onesie and under my A* leather suit. If nothing else, they (should) offer a bit more impact protection, damping any immediate impact force, while the leather protects you during a slide. I also commute and go on spirited rides at times, using them for an added layer of impact protection, wishing I would never need to test them. :)
can you put in d30 hip protectors?
BEST ANSWER: NO. There are no pockets on these shorts. The tradeoff is comfort vs protection. These shorts are a good compromise.
Are they CE approved?
BEST ANSWER: I have not seen anything that says they are CE rated. I really have never seen underwear/base layer rated for protection. It does have foam padding but no hard armor so I would say it offers some impact protection but minimal slide/rash protection. I use them under Kevlar jeans and they work well.
Hi, if i will wearing it with pants 'alpine stars A10 sport' it be comfortable or not?
BEST ANSWER: They are very lightweight and comfortable so if you have the room I don't see why not. I also have the A-10 pants but they are too tight to wear these underneath.
