Video: Dirt bikes on the White House lawn

Jun 14, 2026

The word "unprecedented" gets used a lot these days, as we see a lot of things we didn't expect. One of the things I never predicted was seeing motocross bikes doing backflips on the White House lawn.

I always just assumed that if we ever saw dirt bikes on the White House lawn it would be following a shocking failure of perimeter security and would be quickly followed by a large and heavily armed response by the Secret Service. Instead, it happened by invitation.

It was all part of the activities honoring President Trump's 80th birthday. The ties between UFC and Nitro Circus led to the addition of soaring dirt bikes to the spectacle. Famed stunt rider Travis Pastrana recruited fellow freestyle riders Brian Deegan, Jeremy "Twitch" Stenberg, and Keith Sayers, along with 15-time motocross and Supercross champion Ricky Carmichael and Jeremy McGrath, the winningest rider in Supercross history. Video presented below for posterity, because who knows if we'll see this again.

Naturally, reactions were varied. But whether you consider this "the biggest moment in moto history" or just more evidence that "Idiocracy" was a documentary, you'll have a hard time convincing me you predicted dirt bikes doing back flips on the White House lawn.
