Ducati is currently holding a benefit auction of a new Panigale V4 25° Anniversario 916 on eBay. Proceeds from the bike, number 5/500, will go to the Carlin Dunne Foundation.
Ducati originally announced the sale of the bike at Laguna Seca World SBK on July 12, just after Dunne’s tragic passing at Pikes Peak. Dunne was riding a prototype V4-based streetfighter at the time of his crash. Later, organizers of the event announced that motorcycles will not race at Pikes Peak next year. It's possible that they'll never race there again.

In the auction bike listing, Ducati writes: “Ducati pilot, Carlin Dunne, tragically lost his life this year at the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb while attempting to set a new course record. He regularly raced under the number 5 and Ducati reserved this number exclusively for this auction.”
This Panigale V4 25°Anniversario 916 gets all the go-fast parts, including an Akrapovic exhaust, Marchesini magnesium wheels, plenty of carbon, and paint inspired by Carl Fogarty’s legendary 916 race bike.

Included with the auction is a set of leathers worn at the Geico U.S. Round of World Superbike by Chaz Davies of the Aruba.it Racing Ducati team as “a sign of respect for Carlin and support for the auction.”
The Carlin Dunne Foundation “was created upon Carlin Dunne’s passing to carry on his legacy by aiding in the development of preventative resources and rehabilitation programs to support extreme sport athletes diagnosed with and/or at risk of acquiring CTE, Concussion Syndrome and Traumatic Brain Injuries.”

The auction listing can be found here. At the time of writing, bidding was up to $42,500.
