Jen Dunstan's motto is "Ride all the bikes," and she's pursued that goal by road racing sport bikes, exploring backwoods trails and hitting the supermoto track, among other two-wheeled pursuits.
Now, RevZilla is happy to announce that the industry veteran is bringing that diverse experience and intense enthusiasm to all of our media channels. As our newest media lead, Jen will appear in RevZilla videos, contribute articles to Common Tread and appear on the Highside/Lowside podcast. She will work alongside RevZilla's west coast production team of Ari Henning, Zack Courts and Spenser Robert, who joined the company in February of 2020.
Dunstan has worked in the motorcycle industry for more than a decade, working for brands such as Troy Lee Designs, ThorMX, Alta Motors, Sena Bluetooth and most recently Husqvarna Motorcycles. Even more notable than her experience is her love for motorcycling of all kinds. I'd have a hard time thinking of someone who has a more diverse riding background.
“Jen can go toe-to-toe with any expert in the industry,” said Brett Walling, Vice President of Brand Marketing and Content for RevZilla. “Her gear and product knowledge, combined with a strong advocacy for motorcycling and women's contributions to the lifestyle of the motorcycle enthusiast, makes Jen a phenomenal fit for this role and on our growing team at Comoto.”

We asked Jen a few questions so we — and you — could start getting to know her better.
Lance Oliver: What was your first motorcycle experience?
Jen Dunstan: My first motorcycle experience was riding on the back of my mom’s motorcycle, a Harley-Davidson Aermacchi 125 cc, with my dad piloting it. We rode to the beach and back on the quiet roads of southern Connecticut. I was about 10 years old and wearing all of my mom’s old gear. I can remember the smells vividly — old worn leather, two-stroke fumes, the salty sea air. I was hooked.
LO: What's your favorite memory you ever made on a motorcycle?
JD: There are so many! It’s a toss up between putting down my fastest lap time at Chuckwalla Valley Raceway, our "victory" laps after getting married at Chuckwalla with my husband, Alex, or conquering the Swansea Salt Tram trail after the first few failures.
LO: You have a reputation for riding everything on two wheels, from road racing to supermoto to off-road trail riding. Is that a strategy for improving your skills or just what you want to do? And what kind of riding is your favorite?
JD: I wouldn’t call it a strategy but more of a desire to keep exploring all that motorcycling has to offer. Now don’t get me wrong, there is a huge benefit. Each new discipline of riding improves my skills across all bikes, but the other benefits such as meeting new friends, exploring new places, and conquering new challenges are just as important.
Picking one favorite is so hard! I guess if I have to choose one it will be road racing, as I have spent the majority of my time and effort there and dragging knee is one of the best damn feelings in the world.

LO: Since you've worked for gear companies, do you hoard motorcycle gear? How big is your closet?
JD: Guilty as charged! I have a roughly 15-foot-by-20-foot corner cordoned off in my shop for housing gear and it is literally racks and racks of it. With this many years of riding and the multiple bikes and riding that I do, it’s really piled up. I might have to speak to a counselor about this. (shrugs)
LO: You have $50,000 and space for three motorcycles. What's your dream garage?
JD: Only three! We can really stretch that $50k, you know! OK, well, if those are the rules then let’s go big — Aprilia RSV4 RF for road racing, Husqvarna FE350S for off-road, and the Indian FTR S for street.
LO: Whether it's a trip to a destination, riding a certain race track or riding with a special person, what's your dream ride?
JD: Can I be greedy and combine all three into the ultimate dream ride? OK, here it goes! This would be the mack daddy of all European moto tours — a spring-time seasonal tour riding to the WESS Hard Enduro round in Portugal, then riding over to the MotoGP round at Mugello in Italy and then popping over for the Isle of Man TT to see a real roads race. I’d love to squeeze in a Speedway GP race or World Trial event somewhere there, too. I would be onboard a sensible mid-size ADV bike, something like the Triumph Tiger 800, BMW F 850 GS or KTM 890 Adventure R. Guest appearances along this dream trip would be visiting Graham Jarvis and Valentino Rossi in their respective paddocks and hitting the road with Katee Sackhoff and Tricia Helfer — they seem like a fun duo that would be down for this adventure!
