FBI agents raided the offices of Ducati North America in Sunnyvale, California, last month, apparently acting on a search warrant.
"I can confirm that FBI San Francisco was at that location on December 17, 2020, to conduct court-authorized law enforcement activity," said FBI spokeswoman Katherine Zackel in a brief statement. "As of today's date, no public records are available. Due to the ongoing nature of the investigation, I cannot comment further at this time."
Ducati Marketing Director Phil Read also had few details to offer publicly.
"It is Ducati North America's practice to cooperate fully with any inquiries from government agencies," said Read. "On top of that, we don't comment on those inquiries. That's all I can say at this moment."
One person posting on the Bay Area Riders Forum who said he was an eyewitness said numerous agents entered the building with weapons drawn. He said few employees were on the scene when the action took place.
