Chef's special: A tiny chopper built from kitchen supplies

Aug 25, 2022

Where is the first place you go when you need parts for your custom motorcycle? YouTuber Mustie1 heads to his local restaurant supply store.

Starting with two Schwinn Sting Rays (the 2004-on Orange County Choppers versions, not the classics!), two small two-stroke engines, and some wheelchair racing wheels, Mustie uses repurposed kitchenware to build something… different. I’ve never seen a motorcycle with this many forks.

Meat thermometer head temp gauges? Fan shroud fender? Tea kettle flapper exhausts? Sure, why not? I’m all about the soup ladle air cleaners and the low-buck approach. Mustie says the whole thing cost about $200, and he learned a lot about running tandem engines in the process.

A bike builder I knew liked to say that the best custom motorcycles are the ones that make you look the longest, and by that standard, Mustie’s bike is a winner. Can somebody let Guy Fieri know that he needs to buy this for cruising around Flavortown?
