The Bell RS-1 Helmet is the newest sport & race oriented Helmet from Bell. The Bell RS-1 addresses the needs of the aggressive sport rider who likes to spend time at the track - someone who does not need all the functionality of the Star but who needs more helmet than the Vortex. The RS1 Helmet is built to offer many of the high end pro functions found in the Star buts leaves out the strictly pro functionality to bring the RS-1 in at a price that is more suited to the non-professional.
The Bell RS-1 Helmet is a Snell 2010 Standard Helmet that offers a tri-weave shell made with layers of Kevlar, carbon fiber and fiberglass. It has a new "Velocity Flow" ventilation system and wicking interior pads for comfort. The fit is more snug than the Star or the Vortex which works well to reduce buffeting at speed.
