Kryptonite New York Legend Chain With Padlock
Do not be fooled!
This thing is HUGE and worth every penny. If you can cut through this and bypass other alarms then you deserve my motorcycle. Until then (knocks on wood) I feel safe with this chain and other security measures.

Heavy freakin' chain, and huge lock
This chain and lock combo are keeping me strong. To lock the bike I thread it through the wheel of my bike...and good god is it heavy. Lets just hope the thieves do not bring a grinder. This is a piece of mind accessory. Clearly if someone wants to steal your bike they will. Make sure you have good insurance with a low deductible as well as this deterrent.

It's a big honkin' chain. And lock.
My bike is still in the carport, so there's that. (knock on wood)
The sleeve keeps it from being too noisy, which is great if you're locking up at odd hours. The link closest to the lock actually sits inside the lock body, which seems like a good idea. It's long enough to make a figure-8 around a pole & the rear wheel.
Thankfully it hasn't been put to the test yet. I'd like to think someone sees it and moves on.

If you don't mind heavy, this is the best lock in existence. I use it to lock up a vey expensive cargo bike in nyc. Nothing is more sturdy, and it insures the bike up to $5,000. It's not optimal for constant moving but if you need a lock for locking a bike, or even a motorcycle overnight in a metropolitan area, this is your lock.

Just recently I got a Mountain bike to Travel throughout New York City. I have to say there have been times when I was not comfortable about leaving my Brand New (Motobecane Fantom Trail) out within five feet of me, or even locked up. But I was pleasantly surprised not even a budge or a scratch in some of the worst area's of Harlem with the extra security of the Kryptonite New York Legend Chain With Padlock, all my worries were left behind me. I have a even better time riding to new places and truly enjoying what the City can offer. Other than worrying about where the safest place to Lock my bike up too.
Its a great Lock, it might be a little pricey at first but it s worth the investment as any good piece of gear is.

I knew the chain would be big and heavy, but wow, it's big and heavy! Seriously, it was thicker than I imagined and absolutely seems like it deter most potential thieves. I used this recently to chain my bike to my trailer while leaving it overnight. Real or imagined, I felt much safer with this chain on there. I'd make sure to work out a bit so you can lift it ;-)
