Great traction long lasting affordable tire
I ride mostly hard pack rocky mx tracks and have loved this tire! Great traction, very stable and long lasting. Have not had any issues with tire chunking out from sharp rocks. Very impressed!

They last longer than they should
Wear:
I was skeptical of the longevity these tires could have. They are the most aggressive DOT available, so I went with them on my Gen1 KLR650. I am currently at 1600 miles and I need to replace my rear tire. I could probably milk another 500 miles out of the rear tire for street use, but the knobs are only about 3/8" tall now, so they are giving up a lot of traction offroad. My front tire will easily go another 1500 miles, possibly more.

Noise:
The noise you read about is a non-issue, unless you only ride at 30-40mph. IMO, that is the only speed they make enough noise that it is noticeable.

Traction Offroa:
Rear tire-This will be the only rear tire I will own. I'll keep my eyes open for new models of tires, but I don't see how this tire can be beat offroad. I'm here today to buy another replacement.

Front tire- I wish it would wear out sooner. Aired down it does wel offroadl, but it is a little sketchy. It will occasionally break loose and seldom recovers. The front tire is a direct copy of the rear tread pattern, which is not a logical tread block layout for a steer tire. JMO. I'll use something else in the future for a front. It is not a horrible front tire, but I think a KLR demands a little more steering traction just due to it's weight. This is the only reason I gave this tire a 4 on grip. The rear tire earns a solid 5.

Traction on-road:

They're fine. Really, don't even worry about it. I can drag pegs on my KLR650 and they tiptoe through loose gravel like it's not even there. They shed water beautifully ( how could they not with those huge lugs?) so they do fine in the rain as well. I have zero complaints on their road manners, but they do require some breaking in IMO.

When the tires are new they have a strange waffle pattern on the faces of the lugs. It takes about 150 miles or so to wear that waffle pattern away. Unil you wear that waffle patttern off they are slightly twitchy under hard cornering. Once it goes away, they grip like mad.

I am notoriously hard on rear tires and I use way more front brake than I should. My rear has held up fine and I have zero cupping on my front tire. My tires have been used 50/50 offroad/ on-road. My idea of offroad is East Coast US single track with hillclimbs, creek crossings and leaf covered forest floors, so this is what this review is based on.

Amazing
My wife and I recently took a trip on two klr's with these on the back of both bikes. We did 270 miles 190 of which was dirt. We ran them at 15 psi on dirt and 25 on pavement.

One downside is noise. Very loud tire on pavement.

Great grip, very stable on any thing from gravel to any size rocks. On pavement we able to keep up with cruisers pretty well.

Best DOT dirt tire out there.
I ride a street legal dual sport bike 95% of the time off road. In all terrains from the soft sand in the NJ Pine Barrens, to hard packed rocky terrain of PA coal country. I've had many different popular name brand tires in the past, and nothing has been as good, or even close to the Kenda K760 Trakmaster. Hands down, the best DOT approved dirt tire for most terrains. It's "ok" on the street, but can't be beat off road. If your looking for a quality dirt tire that is street legal and performs great in the dirt, this is it. Price is lower than most of the others out there, so this is a win win. I've been using this tire for over 10 years now, and everyone I know loves and uses this tire as well. They hold up very well off road, but not so long on the street. If you ride mostly off road, you'll love this tire, both front and rear.

Good stuff
Pretty smooth ride on the road but does wear out quick. Awesome hook up off road, hard and soft terrain. Great for the dual sport rider who spends majority of time off road

Great!
Haven't had this on my XT250 long yet, but it is a night and day improvement over the stock Trailwings. So much more traction in the loose stuff, and not all that bad on the road either. Haven't put that many miles on them yet, so no comments on longevity yet.

A cheap replacement if your looking for a new tire that hooks up great for a great price. It was a pain to get on but still a great product and gives a great use when im out riding. I recommend for anyone needing a new tire.

Great value.
Don't believe these tires should be DOT rated they do not hold up on pavement very well at all. In hard packed dirt they are awesome! In the loose stuff, not so much!

Fantastic valueand great trail riding tire
I bought these tires primarily for riding trails that are connected by short section of paved roads, exactly the 90/10 dirt/road these are designed for.

Ridiculously knobby DOT tire!
These tires are awesome for a dual sport that sees more offroad use than onroad. They behave fine on the road considering how knobby they are. Will definitely buy again!

Need size - 400/18"rear tire dirt bike 250cc?

BEST ANSWER: 4.00"x 18" = 100/100 18"
For a front tire will the 80/100/21 fit and work ok on my Husaberg 450 fe with a Dunlop geomax on the rear? The old geomax front tire did not last too well...Thanks

BEST ANSWER: I have run a gel ax and the kenda on my Ktm 350 exc-f. I ride the sand in Michigan primarily and the kenda works fine. Often I ruin a track aster on the rear and a Pirelli scorpion on the front. Works well in sand and on the road. They are DOT certified which I need to be legal in Michigan. I just bought a set of Kendra's for my 350 and another set for my Ktm 250 XCW
