What is a Pinlock lens?
A Pinlock lens is a flexible, transparent insert that you install on the inside of your main face shield. It has a silicone bead around the edge that creates a tiny, sealed air gap between the insert and the shield. How does a Pinlock stop my visor from fogging?
It stops fog in two ways. First, the silicone seal creates an air-tight pocket of air, which insulates the inner lens from the cold outside air. Second, the Pinlock insert itself is made of a material that absorbs moisture. This combination is incredibly effective at keeping your vision crystal clear, even when you're breathing heavily at a stoplight.

Is Pinlock better than anti-fog spray?
Yes, in almost every way. Anti-fog sprays and wipes are a temporary fix that you have to re-apply constantly, and they can sometimes cause streaks or haze. A Pinlock system is a "set it and forget it" solution that lasts for years and provides a much more reliable and clear view.

What does "Pinlock-ready" mean?
A "Pinlock-ready" face shield means it has the two small mounting posts (the "pins") on the inside, one on each side. These pins are what the Pinlock insert clicks into. If your shield isn't "Pinlock-ready," you can't install a Pinlock lens on it.

How do I install a Pinlock insert?
It's pretty easy! First, take the face shield off your helmet. You'll want to flex the shield gently so it's a bit flatter. Then, hook one side of the Pinlock insert into one pin, and then stretch it just enough to pop the other side into the other pin. Make sure the silicone bead is making a full seal against the shield.
