Hey it works
This is the future of helmet communications, in my opinion, which is tight integration right out of the box. Just charge it, snap this beauty right into the M1 helmet and you're good to go. It instantly integrates to the pre-installed microphones and speakers in the lid and just works. No tape, glue, screws, wires or cursing.
Got one for my wife's M1 too and we can easily chat, get GPS spoken directions, and listen to music as we like.
Also I updated the firmware and programmed the FM pre-sets by plugging it into my iMac and it just worked. I had tried the Sena and although I hear the PC setup is ok, on Mac it's a nightmare. This one is perfect.

The only small gripes I have are:
1. It does snap in securely to the recess of the helmet with some effort, but there is a little 'tab' that has to be depressed to 'lock' it in, and I find it needs a little coaching to get in right. I would prefer a full on 'snap' and you don't have to double check how its seated and make sure it's good to go.
2. Almost all device vendors these days including this one subscribe to what I call the 'Morse code' school of user interface, which is that you have to remember 'press down once for this, twice quickly for that, one long press for this other function, or press 3x for something else.' It's sort of annoying. I don't know why we can't just have separate buttons for different things or a toggle switch or something. I think there are spoken commands you can use also, but you have to remember them.

Very Nice
For me, the custom SRC integration with the M1 was a big sell. I was anxious to see just how well it worked with the boom less microphone and pre-wired speakers.

This will be my first SRC/Cardo system as I’m accustomed to using Sena BT products. Powering on/off seems to have the same hello/goodbye voice as the Sena. Makes me wonder if they are using the same chips. Pairing -seemed- straight forward but I found I needed to reset and re-do the pairing to my RT and GPS a couple of times to get the order correct.

Audio quality was good. On my RT, I have a good bit of wind protection and wind noise isn’t much of an issue. Therefore I can hear the audio in the helmet relatively good at low levels versus a sport bike. I’m not sure I like the incremental volume settings. It seems like one volume click up is a tad too loud for my taste and was hard to find a sweet spot. Kinda stinks when you can’t tweak the source volume. I don’t have this issue with the Sena.

All in all, I really like the integration with the M1. The speakers and microphone are very effective. It takes some getting used to accessing the volume controls. I have to swipe my hand over the complete control pad (vol+/power/vol-) to make sure I’m hitting the right button.

Excellent Device
This unit is made to easily install and connect to the Schuberth M1 helmet. Installation was easy. Just remove the protective clip/cover and snap the SRC system in. Pairing was tricky at first because the Quick Start Guide in the box is not detailed enough. Have to go to the Schuberth website to download the actual manual for better pairing instructions and operating instructions.

This SRC/Schuberth M1 Helmet combination is bu far one of the best and easiest on the market. The M1 helmet already has two speakers and two microphones built into the helmet

Decent Bluetooth
It is nice that the helmet already has built in speakers and mic. I am having a difficult time in getting Siri to work via voice commands and unable to locate any documentation on how to actually use the voice prompting. The sound is good and phone conversation are great don't think people really notice that I am riding while I am talking to them or at least haven't heard any complaints yet. Trying to figure out the pressing sequence is being a bit difficult to remember but I found so long as I select a longer playlist before I leave works fine for listening to music on way to work. I am sure once I figure out all the key sequence for options I will be happier but overall I think it is a decent product.

Great addition to Schuberth M1 "3/4" helmet
I have a C3 Pro with Schuberth SRC communication system installed. I recently purchase an M1 with M1 SRC, The M1 SRC provides better microphone clarity and better speaker performance than the system in my C3 Pro. Ease of pairing is the same, but having two Bluetooth channels is a great improvement. I recommend this product for those who want helmet communications.

Works as advertised . . .
This is the first time I've used a helmet paired with an SRC system, so I can't compare it to anything else, but I find this works pretty much as Schuberth advertises. It was easy to pair with my iPhone and GPS. Easy to operate.

Reception using the M1 helmet with the SRC is loud and clear. This is probably more a comment on the helmet than the SRC, but other parties have trouble hearing me through the M1's built-in mic. Other than that, the M1 with the SRC functions exactly as I had hoped it would. No "buyer's remorse" here.

No brainer.
If you've invested in the M1 with the built-in bluetooth, headphones and mic, you gotta get the SRC to make it complete. Seriously, this is a no brainer. I had tunes cranking in my M1 ten minutes after I took it and the SRC out of the boxes. Setup is a breeze, sound quality is great. If you want GPS directions, music or phone calls in your hat during the ride, there is no reason not to buy this SRC. It's so cool to effortlessly have music in the helmet without the hassle of earbuds. Get it.

It works on my BMW !!!
Comparison between M1 SRC and the SCHUBERTH SRC system for my C3 helmet, with 2015 BMW K1600 GT.

The sound quality is very much sharper and clearer than the older C3 SRC system, and supported by CARDO, not SCHUBERTH, which is an improvement too IMHO.

Having the microphone integrated into the helmet interior is a big bonus, not having the "wand" sticking in your face all the time. And having the microphone and speakers pre-installed is great, no fussing around with instilling them.

Best part is IT WORKS !!! unlike the C3 SRC system. Just snap the module into the rear of the helmet and ready to go. As long as it doesn't fall off the back at some point in the future....that would be bad, but has not happened so far.

I did NOT care for the Schuberth communicator as it was WAY too quiet at full volume and the speaker quality was suspect as well. Went with Sena S10 = HUGE improvement!

What's the Battery life like on this?
A shopper on May 23, 2016
BEST ANSWER: My wife and I have these on our M1s. With a full charge we easily can go up to 8 hours or more of listening to music, with some bike-to-bike conversation mixed in during the ride. We have never completely drained the batteries during a ride. We shut them off when we stop for lunch or extended periods of time, so as NOT to completely drain the batteries. We really have been quite pleased with the SRC System. I purposefully didn't Bluetooth the phones into our SRCs. I figure if you're that busy or indispensable to others where you need to be on the phone all the time, why even go for a ride? Just stay home and talk on the phone. So I can't speak to how long they would last if you're on the phone a lot. All in all, we're very happy with SRC System and the battery life.
