Rokker Violator Jeans

“No Tresspassing - Violators will be prosecuted,” eh? Only if you get caught! The Rokker Violator Jeans have a casual fit and low rise waist that is loose enough to be comfortable when throwing a leg over motorcycles and chain link fences alike.

And although the 100% Dynatec armor pockets and full length liner have been designed specifically to be incredibly abrasion resistant in a slide on pavement, we trust they would fare pretty well against barbed wire too. Not that RevZilla condones trespassing, but if they had to put a fence up, there is probably something cool on the other side. Just sayin’.

Note: We have found the Rokker Violator Jeans tend to run small and suggest going up if you are between sizes.

Worth the money
I tried some of the cheaper Kevlar riding jeans and couldn't find any I was happy with. I can't wear slim or skinny jeans, I've been lifting weights my whole life and I have meat on my thighs. I wear a 34/32 in wranglers and I ordered a 36/32 in the rokker violator and they fit well. I definitely feel like these jeans are high quality and I feel pretty confident in the level of protection with the full dynatec lining. I also ordered the hip and knee armor. They look great, and they are comfortable on and off the bike. My only complaint is with the optional knee armor. It seems like no matter how I try to adjust them, when I am on the bike the armor shifts to the inside of my knees. So when I'm riding only part of the top of my knee is protected and none of the outside. Still better than nothing I suppose. Overall very happy with the rokkers. Try not to look at it as spending $450 on jeans, look at it as spending $450 to keep your skin if you go down.

Exceptionally Well Made, Narrow Legs Slightly Uncomfortable with Armor Underneath
I own a custom two-piece leather suit (Super Speed) from the Dainese store here in San Francisco. I’ve had it for a couple of years, and it is comfortable and loaded with safety features. But after riding 400 miles to a motorcycle get-together and changing into civilian clothes at the destination, one of the last things I feel like doing is putting the leather pants on again to go for a very short ride to a restaurant or to the grocery store. For years I’ve wanted pants that provided excellent impact and abrasion protection while being convenient (something the leather pants are not). These pants do not provide both, only abrasion protection; they do have pockets for hip protectors, but that’s not quite as much protection as I wanted.
I'm tall as motorcycle gear goes (6'3") and relatively thin (range from 180-200). Generally, off the shelf jackets and pants don’t work well for me. I have long arms and long legs—unsurprisingly, this usually means I find pant legs and jacket sleeves are too short.
In my search, I tried the Klim K Fifty 1 Jeans in a 36 Tall and a 38 Tall as well as the Rokker Original Jeans in a 36X36 and 38X36. I liked the Klim jeans quite a bit, especially because they accommodate armor without a separate undergarment, using built-in pockets. Unfortunately, the 36 Tall was too short in the legs and perfect in the waist while the 38 Tall was perfect in the legs but too big in the waist. Both had a nice, American-style rise (i.e., not too low). They are made in China, a negative for me. The Rokker Original jeans in 36X36 were small and short in the legs and small in the waist (read they were very Euro) and the 38x36 were good in the legs but the rise was still low on the waist (also a Euro styling issue).

Frustrated, I called Revzilla and received top-notch guidance. The gentleman I spoke with listened to my issues with the four pairs I had tried and recommended that I try the Rokker Violators in a 38X36. He was not wrong. Made in Portugal, they have a more American fit (a higher rise even though the description indicates a low rise), are sufficiently long, and are only slightly large in the waist. The major drawback is that the only armor they are designed to accommodate on board are hip protectors (note that the description indicates that these protector pockets are adjustable via VELCRO, but in my pair, they hip armor pockets are stitched in place and cannot be moved). For me, this meant seeking out an undergarment that could accommodate the full complement of protectors (knee and shin, hip, thigh, and tailbone). I settled on Bohn Armor pants (advertised in the AMA magazine) and they work perfectly under the Rokker Violators. This takes away some of the convenience of the jeans; however, they’re still less restrictive than the leather pants.

Because I have not crashed in them and have no plans to, I have no idea how protective and durable the Rokker Violators are; however, they are clearly the best-made of all the jeans I tried. Further, they are very good-looking as garments go. Aside from the rather galling pocket logo, they are understated. Unfortunately, because the legs aren’t quite as wide as they might be, they do constrict the knees when wearing armor beneath them. I resolved this by hiking them up a touch when in riding position to loosen the area around the knees, and this resolved the constriction. Thankfully, they are sufficiently long and don’t get anywhere near the top of the boot even when I do this. Another drawback of the narrow leg size is that they are difficult to get over a highly structured race boot (i.e. Sidi ST boots). Not only are the pant legs narrow, but the Schoeller-Dynatec liner catches on hard parts of the boot. I compensated for this by cutting the feet from a thick pair of socks and putting the remaining tubes over the top of my boots to cover the hard parts. This way, the pants easily slide over the boots, and the lining does not catch. Notably, the pants don’t have this problem with a boot that has less hard structure (they slid right over my old Alpinestars S-MX 3 boots without issue).

All in all, I believe they are worth the investment. Your miles may vary. In any case, do not hesitate to call Revzilla and talk to someone; they employ people who know what they're talking about!

Rokker jeans
Well I have had my Rokkar jeans a couple months now only rode a couple hundred miles and all I can say is these jeans are SOOOO comfortable. .Cool thing is nobody can tell there motorcycle jeans. I rock them with a speed and strength armored flannel shirt and white T look pretty stylish. I have not crashed in them so I re don't know how well they hold up there. I ride a supermoto and there is plenty of movement to throw a leg over the bike or bars or whatever. Expensive purchase but old saying goes. Ya get what you pay for

Great Fit. NOT Skinny jeans finally!
I'm a bigger guy, 6'2' 225. I've simply can't wear the European styled skinny jeans. With most riding jeans, if the waste is sized for my waste, the thighs are usually too tight. These jeans actually fit. They look great, and the protection appears to be adequate.

Comfortable and a little stretchy
I've worn these jeans in 90 degrees + humidity and I don't feel uncomfortably hot. I can feel a little bit of airflow, but not much. I like that there's a stretchy component to the material - very comfortable sitting on my bike.

I want good protection while riding and these pants are comfortable and stylish skin armor.
Todd C on Jul 28, 2017
Wanted for the safety factor. Note: Sizing is tight in the waist compared to other 36 jeans I own. The fit throughout rest of the jean is great other than the waist band.

purchased 36 waist and found them tight as they go up pretty high on the waist which was a surprise. Ordering the Rebels, hopefully will be the right fitment..
