REV'IT Jersey Jeans

The REVIT Jersey Jeans are what the Boss himself would wear if he were cruising around Asbury Park on his Harley. The light denim wash may look completely casual, but the heavy duty 12.5oz cordura denim with Coolmax is all business. Not only do the Jersey Jeans have a tough exterior, but they are lined with PWR|shield at the knees and seat for unrivaled abrasion resistance in high impact areas. Knox Lite CE certified armor is included and pockets for Seesoft hip armor really bump the protection factor to full on riding pant level.

Note: The REV'IT Jersey Jeans run large in the waist and we suggest going down if you are between sizes.

Protection Features:

  • Outer shell: 12.5oz Cordura Denim with Coolmax element
  • Lining: polycotton twill
  • Protective layer: PWR|shield
  • Composition:
    • outer shell: 50% cotton, 30% polyester, 20% polyamide
    • lining: 50% cotton, 50% polyester
    • protective layer: 100% polyamide
  • Protection:
  • Visibility: 3M Scotchlite reflection at turn up

Ergonomic Features:

  • Fit: loose fit
  • Features: adjustable protector pockets, zipper fly front closure, comfort seat, triple needle stitching at side seam and back rise, extra comfort by mechanical stretch, moisture-wicking function by COOLMAX element, safety stitching at inseam
  • Pockets: five pockets

Note: The video shows pre-production Jersey Jeans, and the PWR|shield knit protection in the front of the jeans is only at the knees, and not from the waist to the knees.

One of the best riding jeans in a classic Levi style
First of all, I try to ride in Kevlar and full armor riding pants whenever possible. When I need riding jeans to fit in best with the style or weather, I had the original motorcycle jean with Kevlar pads in the butt and kees. They are reasonably priced, but I wanted to see what else is available. I am not a hipster nor a gangster so my jean style tends to the boring classic Levi 505 cut, and these REVIT Jersey Jeans meet that style requirement perfectly. Secondly, they have Cordura woven throughout the jean, not just in the high risk areas like rump and knees. Thirdly, they come with high quality armor for the knees, and hip protectors are available as an option. Finally, they have this nice smooth comfortable lining throughout - that's a real luxury. So these feel very high quality, safe, and comfortable.

I normally wear 36W x 30L size for my street jeans. I added two inches to the length (to accommodate boots and the knee bend position when riding) and ordered 36W x 32L, but when I got them the waist was too large. The length was good so I exchanged them for 34W x 32L, and they are perfect. Even going down a size in waist I could still fit the hip protectors in with no problem.

I do not fool myself into thinking that these are as fully protective as my other Kevlar/fully armored riding pants, but I do believe that these must be among the best jean riding pants available. They should be too because they are not cheap! In this I case, I do feel I am getting what I paid for.

They don't fit like Levis !!
These jeans are heavy durable jeans. Probably twice as heavy in weight as normal jeans. They have a extra liner inside to protect, but that also makes them hotter in the summer weather. Their fit is a little snug but that also holds the knee and the optional (which I bought) hip protectors in place. I normally wear a 36 Levi 550 but opted for the 38's in the Revit Jersey jean. The hip protectors fit perfectly in the pockets provided. My only complaint is I wish they came a little longer in size 38. They also are a little expensive but they're a very protective jean.

Worthy
Was worried that it would be stiff and uncomfortable based on the level of protection it provided. Pleasantly surprised that it felt like pre-washed jeans. Happy to get off the bike and walk into a diner without looking like storm trooper.

Great warm weather jeans!!
I just bought my second pair of these. I bought my first pair based on the review at webbikeworld. They said "We've been riding with the REV'IT! Jersey and Philly jeans in the recent hot and humid summer weather and the conclusion is that we'd much rather be wearing these than any other leather or textiles hanging on the webBikeWorld racks." and for me that has been the case. These are my favorite summer and hot weather riding pants. I have never worn them when the weather has dropped below sixty so I can't say how the breathing of these pants effects cooler temps as I bought them to solve the hot weather problem. I have Klim misanos and Rev'it sand pants for that.

Now for reference on sizing, I'm six feet with a 34 inch inseam and 32 inch waist and weigh 155 lbs. My two pair of Klim misanos size 32 long fit me perfectly, my Rev'it sand pants medium long are a little large in the waist and my Olympia airglide 2 size 32 waist are too big in the waist.

These jeans are very comfortable and like the sand pants bathe you in a feeling of luxury. The waists are large and I had to return the 32 x 34 for 30x34 and the waist is still a little loose but the optional hip pads keep them tighter at the hips so they feel more firmly in place.

These are not tight jeans but they are not loose either. They don't look baggy on my slim build; however, they are too tight for the strap on knee armor which I wear. The knee armor that comes with them is junk. So I replaced it with some Klim d30 that I have from my Klim pants which was better but not good enough. I then bought some Rukka D3O Air Knee Pads and cut them with a scissor so as they fit and completely fill the knee pad pocket. This is better although not as good as my strap on armor. Now for those of you who are concerned with your appearance the knees bulge out with the Rukka knee pads and are quite obvious. Also, I need a tight belt plus suspenders to keep the pants in place which gives me good knee coverage whether sitting or standing. I don't buy into the theory that your knees need to be covered only when sitting. I want them covered all the time.

And finally, I bought my first pair when they went on close-out and then when they dropped the price again I could not resist buying the second pair.
I give them five stars in spite of the knee armor because every pair of pants I've ever bought had the same knee armor problem which made me switch to strap on armor.

Riding Jeans that actually look like real Jeans
I own a few pairs of riding jeans from various companies, and this is the best looking pair I own. They also fit the best. The fit is a combination of the actual fit of the jeans and how the protection plays into how comfortable they are to wear (the protection is stays close, but does not inhibit any movement or can be seen externally)

Weird fitment
The inseam length is a little longer than advertised which I liked being a tall rider. The waist fit true to size. The knee armor goes exactly where it is supposed to in the riding position which was a huge plus. My biggest complaint is that the thigh and crotch area is too tight for my liking. The bottom of the pants are boot cut so I have no problem putting them over my smx 6 boots.

Nice enough jeans, but I regret the purchase.
These jeans do what they advertise: they'll protect you in a slide most likely, but I found that the belt loops for one thing don't do all that great of a job. I'm constantly having to adjust my belt in the rear because there aren't any belt loops at 4 and 7 o'clock. My belt tends to ride up and the jeans sag in those areas. Super annoying! There are two belt loops close together at 6 o'clock and that's it in the back.

I also found I'm not too partial to the Euro style of jean; they tend to ride up in the crotch. I'm more of a larger guy (not fat, but just big/tall lol). I think an American jean style with a bit more room suits me better and just looks better imo. I've definitely got my eye on Klim's K Fifty 1 Jeans. As soon as I can afford it, I want to try them out.

Where do you think they'll fall in the cool/hot scale?
Jeremy E on Apr 21, 2015
BEST ANSWER: as far as armored jeans go these are the coolest I have tried. I wear these always from fall through spring but switch to Tornado 2 pants when temps are consistently over 85 and above. In comparison my Rokker Revolution jeans I can only wear when chilly or colder as they do not breath like the Jersey's do
Is the original protection interchangable with the new Seesoft protectors?
