Puig Pro Frame Sliders Honda CBR500R 2013-2015 Videos

Puig Pro Frame Sliders Honda CBR500R

Puig Pro Frame Sliders feature a massive 130mm x 58mm Nylon puck. Each puck mounts via a billet aluminum bracket which requires no bodywork modification. To keep things clean, an end cap with the "PRO Puig" logo covers the mounting bolt on each puck.

Puig not only designed these frame sliders to protect the motorcycle, but the rider too. All pucks feature a rubber bumper on the back facing pointed end to avoid knee and shin injuries from impact in the event of a crash.

Features:

  • No bodywork modification required
  • Protects engine and frame
  • All sliders include grey rubber bumper
  • Rubber bumpers available in other colors (sold separately)

Note: Image for reference only. Actual Puig Pro Frame Sliders may vary slightly depending on your make and model.

Looks great, but falls short for taller riders
Pun not intended.

The installation of this item is a slam dunk as far as difficulty goes. It took no time to get the right side on, the left side was slightly more difficult. The aesthetics are nice, and the quality feels nice as well. I think these would fair well in a slide very well.

However, I can't use them and I, sadly, have to send them back. The reason being is that where they install at on the bike is pretty much exactly where my knees are. I can still get my knee on the bike, but the slider sits on the outside of my knee and for me, since my knee is locked inside the bike and slider, it's pretty uncomfortable. And that's without pants on, if I had pants on, or a knee protector, my knee wouldn't fit at all.

I'm exactly 6' tall, so you can use that as a reference. A little bit shorter, you should be fine. Any taller, you'll have a less comfortable experience than I did.

Only good for 0MPH drops.
Went down doing about 20mph around a corner after hitting a pot hole. The the frame slider instantly bent flush with the motor, and thus caused the fairings to grind against the ground as if the frame sliders weren't even there. Good for light drops, but they're useless in actual slides. I did get compliments on these though. They really look sharp on the CBR500R.

They Fit!
I have a CBR500R and there are no sliders available for this bike that does not require you to put a hole in your fairing which i am not willing to do! So when i got them i was skeptical but they fit and do not require me to cut my fairing.

i will say this though, trying to remove the main bolt to put this on was impossible. you will need REAL tools to install this. Not the ones on sale at Target. just an fyi.

Not too bulky
I like the overall appearance of the frame sliders. Considering what they're for, I feel they are more sleek than expected.

Why did you choose this?

These seems to be the only sliders that fit the CBR500r due to the fairing being in the way

After much research these frame sliders appear to be the best option as they do not require any modifications to the fairing and have some cosmetic adaptability.

Will it fit a 2012 cbr1000rr non abs?
anselmo p on Aug 4, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Not to sure to be honest. Mine is a 2015 cbr500r and they fit like a glove. Abs and non abs should be the same fit
