Fantastic Stand
I had a little trepidation dropping the $130 or whatever it is on a Pitbull stand, plus in the pictures it looks more like a toy than a bonafide tool. But when the stand arrived I was really impressed with it, from build quality to it's looks.

It's fully adjustable, which is great since my CBR250R is a really skinny bike. The stand fits just fine and doesn't rub up anywhere it shouldn't. It's easy to use and doesn't require any more upper body strength than my noodle arms have.

Don't get too caught up on needing spools with it, either. They're nice to have, but it's sturdy enough without them to perform basic maintenance--unless you're pulling the engine or transmission then it will be just fine.

Overall this is a fantastic stand that feels like it's going to last longer than me and works perfectly.

Hands down the most useful tool for my bikes.
I'll never use any other stand. I have the extended removable handle for reference. If you have a bike with swing-arm spool capability, you're doing yourself a disservice by not using them. I've never lubed my chain so frequently before. With this stand, I enjoy doing it so much I have to have my girlfriend physically restrain me to stop from doing it too often. Or maybe that's just a really good excuse, I don't know. The best part is even my terrible old bike with no spools goes up no problem at all. I prefer this to the center stand when doing work on it because it's so much more stable. I had to re-seat fork seals after cleaning them, and was able to literally jump on the bike and slam them home while it was up on the stand because it's so stable (disclaimer: don't try this at home you idiot, at least I know I'm an idiot, what's your excuse). Get yourself the removable handle too. Not only do I not trip over the handle like a moron when I'm insanely running from side to side while working on the bike, but it makes a great breaker bar in a pinch (who the f*** torqued these passenger peg bolts, Superman and Hulk's love child?! And yes I know they're from two different universes but a guy can dream right)? Stop wondering if you should get this stand and get it. You'll wonder how you lived without it for so long.

Just Solid
Just absolutely solid. Everything you could want in a stand. The price point is rough but I feel like this stand will last me a good decade and multiple bikes so it's not so bad. Plus it pays for itself just avoiding one fall - and if used correctly, your bike won't ever take a spill.

The best rear stand!
I absolutely LOVE my Pit Bull SS Rear Stand! This is the first and only stand I will ever need in the rear. The stand is one extremely solid piece, with the mounting brackets on and read to go which slide to fit your bike and can flip for spools or swing arm. The adjusting bolts have small wrench looking washers underneath which make adjusting their length painless with no tools rehired. If you choose to get the removable handle (which seems like a no brainer) it has a sleek holster for it on the inner left side making it perfect and out of the way when not in use (or when storing the bike on it). It arrives ready to go in a giant box which is always exciting to see walking up to your door haha. It's much heavier and feels much beefier than it looks in some pictures which is a good thing! Raising the bike on it is a breeze and it wreaks of confidence holdin your bike up, letting my mind never having to worry about it at all. Lowering the bike back down is just as easy. A tag comes with it that says "this stand will outlast your bike" but I feel like this stand will still be kicking generations to come.

If you need to raise your back wheel, buy this stand and never worry about needing another.

I reccomend the Woodcraft slider spools. They work perfect with the Pit Bull stand and offer great protection for the bike!

Great lifetime product!
I love this stand. You can see and feel the quality. Yeah there are cheaper options but it is so much more enjoyable working on your bike when you have good tools. I have already used this way more than I thought I would. Have the front also. Glad I own it will likely have it for many years.

Pit Bull Rear Stand Review
The Pit Bull Rear Stand is sturdy and easy to use. The handle produces a lot of leverage and easily lifts my CBR600RR with one hand, The handle can be removed so I don't trip over it. This stand was pricey but well worth it..... JW

Works great without spools....
My CBR500R doesn't have factory spool holes and adding them would be around a hundred bucks. Put the spool money into getting a good stand and I'm glad I did. Great quality stand that lifts my bike easily and securely without spools.

I need a stand to help with routing maintenance (cleaning/oiling chain, checking coolant, etc). Since it will be holding about 400 lbs, a high quality one is a good idea. I also can't directly mount spindles on my bike without drilling/tapping holes - which might weaken the frame and this should work without them.

I was gifted a center stand for my '14 Triumph Tiger 800. Ironically, it required a shop stand to install! Opted for the Pit Bull after lots of research. It fits a wide variety of bikes, and is sure to last a lifetime.

I only like to buy things once and don't mind spending a few bucks extra to do it. I'm only going to have to buy this once, and I can beat people to death with it if they try to take it from me.

Michael D on Aug 10, 2016
Awesome stand, and I love the detachable handle and the ability for the feet on the stand to be spun around to work on a bike without spools. If you are considering the detachable handle, definitely spend the extra money and go for it. Really nice when you are on a small shop stool with wheels and working on both sides of the bike and want to get in close to the rear tire.

Needed a universal stand to fit the three total different sport bikes in the garage Honda 650f Ninja 650 and a Yamaha R3 it accommodates them all. The Honda doesn't have built in spool mounts in the swing arm so having the ability to lift the rear off the swing arm without tearing it up is a real plus

Considered the ultralight but read that the ultralight would not work with a bmw s1000rr which will likely be my next bike after my zx6r. This is very universally applicable. Went with the extended removable arm because people said removable is a big plus, and the extra leverage for 5 bucks more didn't seem to be a huge leap in price.

so you can turn the tops around and switch from a spool side to a universal type of side?
Samuel D on Mar 15, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Yes. The red round piece in the photo ends up being the lift/contact point on the frame of the bike. I have no spools on my bike and this works without issue.
What's the different between the spooled rear stand then he standard one?
A shopper on Apr 3, 2016
BEST ANSWER: The spooled rear stand requires spools to be mounted to your swingarm. This version will have the "hook" looking ends at the top. The standard one just has rubber pads that lift the bottom of the swingarm itself. In my opinion, the spooled stand is more stable, and will help prevent an embarrassing "garage drop." Not that I've ever done that. Twice.
What is the length of an extended removable handle v a regular removable handle?
A shopper on Oct 12, 2016
How wide are these stands? I have a 2005 ZRX1200R and the stand that I bought is not wide enough for the spools to rest properly. And I have a framed swing arm and I was specifically told not to use the paddocks on my style of swing arm.
Zachary G on Dec 4, 2014
BEST ANSWER: I ride a hayabusa and it fits mine just fine its totally adjustable if you have no spools it coms with padded ears that you can use to lift the bike and again its totally adjustable
should this stand fit my 2014 yamaha R6?
Mateo g on Jun 13, 2014
BEST ANSWER: Hi Mateo G. I'm Pretty Sure This Stand Will Work On Your R6. Spool Sizes Will Vary Among Brands I Do Know That. The Spool Size For My CBR Is Different Than On The R6 But The Stand Is Very Versatile And It's Meant To Work On A Myriad Of Bikes. To Be Absolutely Sure Contact The Reps @ Revzilla. They're Awesome And Are Always Willing To help. You Can Also Contact Pit Bull Directly. I Will Say It Is A Great Stand. One Of The Best If Not The Best Out There. Good Luck
do the swivels come with the purchase of this stand?
Charles Gabriel C on Apr 12, 2014
BEST ANSWER: Define swivels? Everything pictured comes with the stand. (Also word to the wise, Don't drag any party of the stand across the ground. Always use the wheels)
I have a 2012 Kawasaki ZX6R and since winter and rainy season is almost here. Im wondering if this Pit Bull SS Rear Stand will work on my bike?
A shopper on Oct 29, 2013
BEST ANSWER: If you have spools on your bike, it will work. If you don't have spools, it will almost certainly work.

The stand feels a little more solid when used with spools; the spools drop into V shaped cutouts on the stand, and there's no danger of them slipping off, like can happen with the standard pads (if you don't follow the directions correctly).

I've not confirmed with your specific bike, but most Kawi's use 10mm spools; there should be several sets available here on the 'Zilla that will work.
Do you know if the Honda CB 500FA has the ability to take the spool for the PitBull Rear Stand?
A shopper on Apr 20, 2014
BEST ANSWER: Yes, google "cb500f spool" there are a few different ways they are mounted.
Wanting to make sure this is going to fit a 01 cbr 929?.. no spools.. last rear stand I purchased(not pit bull) guy told me it would fit.. it didn't.. so thanks in advance
A shopper on Oct 14, 2015
BEST ANSWER: This is a great product, very solid build quality. The combo spools are adjustable and I have used them on a variety of bikes. BEWARE- when using this lift on bikes without rear spools, the bike CAN slip off of the stand very easily regardless of how well the stand/bike is secured. When using the lift WITH spools, it works like a charm.
Will this do the trick with a 2013 Daytona? Do I need PB spools or will my current stock ones work with it?
A shopper on Jan 24, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Yes works fine on my 13 Daytona 675R. I use just the spools from Triumph but any spools should work. Great stand worth every penny!!
