Kuryakyn Switchblade Foot Pegs

Switchblade Footpegs are sleek, versatile, and supremely comfortable. In their standard compact mode, they are a large-surface-area, rubber-isolated footpeg. Deploy the concealed heel rest and now you have the added fatigue-fighting comfort of the famous Kuryakyn ISO Stirrups. Although this setup will work in any peg location, these are the ideal footpegs for bikes using forward controls or as forward-mounted cruise pegs.

Features:

  • Sold as a pair
  • Fits many different bikes with purchase of required tapered foot peg mounts

Comfortable
I have forward pegs, and for short and long rides, the switchblade makes the ride more laid back. I ride with them down all the time. Only negative is that on tight turns, my heel will occasionally scrap the ground.

Had to fiddle around with adapters
I had to fiddle around with washers and adapters to get it to fit my Triumph Thunderbird just right without being wiggly or loose... and getting a washer on the top and bottom of the pin took some patience and finagling. Once they were on though, they work great. I think my legs may be a little long for this style, however, as I actually don't even ride with my heels back where the heel-rest is. I've used them a couple of times, but it feels like I'm sitting in a chair rather than a lounger. I probably should have gotten the ones with the wings that flip out wide, or maybe highway pegs on a dresser bar (don't have one). The foot pegs are fine, but the switchblade thing wasn't right for how I ride the bike. Live and learn. Also, when I've bottomed out the indicator on a hard lean, it flipped out the switchblade just a bit, requiring me to fiddle with it while in motion. You can get them in/out while in motion, but it doesn't feel easy or natural.

I was mostly looking for an alternative to highway pegs, since those mostly require engine dressers (which I don't have). These have been ok... definitely nice when doing rally rides at low-speed putzing along, but they don't really help with stretching legs out.
