Works for this Woman
I'm a 5'4'', XS woman and I bought this bag based on the positive reviews, knowing that it probably wouldn't fit me across the body. Someone from the Revzilla community gave me the idea to alter the strap.

I wrote Kriega to ask them about the best way to shorten the cross-body strap and then took the bag to a furniture upholstery place to do the job. I removed 9" from the strap. Cost me $20.

The bag now fits like a charm and feels extremely comfortable. Perfect for my tablet, wallet, sunglasses case, lipstick, etc. :-) I also added a retro-reflective decal to it to feminize it a bit. This bag is awesome.

---------------------------------------------------------------------
Here is the information Kriega sent me for altering the bag:

To fix this, you would need to cut the alloy hooks off the lower end of the strap, shorten the shoulder strap webbing at that point and then get the hooks stitched back on in the same way they were. this means she's need to find somewhere with an industrial sewing machine which can 'bar-tack' lock stitch two layers of tough webbing. upholsterers, outdoors stores and some seamstresses can do this. It absolutely does have to be bar-tacked, otherwise it would be unsafe. very quick and simple job for someone with the right equipment.

Fantastically built and [almost] just what I wanted
Kriega makes high quality stuff, there's no arguing that fact. Their sole focus on motorcycle gear is clear in the design and implementation of their products and it really shows in how clever it all just works.

The price is a bit steep but you're paying for the above mentioned items so that's easy to justify in my opinion. The bag fits an 11" laptop with ease; a 13" is a little snug but it will fit, however I think a padded sleeve around a 13" will not fit, just something to keep in mind if you're a commuter and plan to use this bag for that.

The only thing I'd change is the waist strap. It works but you can't quickly/easily take remove the waist strap bag if you don't occasionally need to use it. Having clips that you strap on the bag would be a nice 2.0 improvement.

One of the best designed motorcycle bags I've had.
I'm a daily motorcycle commuter, and have gone through numerous motorcycle bags. Big backpacks, small ones, motorcycle-specific ones, etc. This Kriega really nails it. Couple of key points:

1. It easily fits my Macbook, charger, some miscellaneous stuff, and a spare vest. The bag looks tiny, but is incredibly accommodating because of the roll-down design. Its pretty awesome - at its max I've fit an entire whole foods shopping basket into it - including 3 bottles of wine.

2. The way that it hangs is long-term very comfortable, but takes some getting used to and adjusting. The strap basically comes down pretty close to your neck out of the box, but the bag has multiple adjustments making it simple to get the fit right. Once you nail the right position, the strap is heavy duty and tacky on the bottom so it keeps its position really well. There is also a nice rip-loop on your chest for tightening of shifting positions while riding.

3. The construction is absolutely top-notch. Completely waterproof, without being bulky or weird looking.

I do have some small issues: The inside nylon material inside the waterproof side-pocket is too loose, and gets caught in the industrial grade zipper. This is an annoying oversight, and has jammed the zipper for me multiple times - a jam that's really hard to undo in a hurry since this zipper is no joke. It solvable by pulling away from the bag when you zip and unzip - but this is annoying if you are riding.

Also - keep in mind that this bag is really optimized for riding, so unless you are wearing it cross shoulder while walking or traveling - it is not comfortable. Hanging it off of one shoulder just doesn't work.

All said - this is by far the best and most versatile bag I've owned.

I rarely ride without it
Admittedly, I have a Kriega problem... I love their products and rarely ride without something from their brand. Not to say I have some baseless brand loyalty, really their stuff is just that good! This bag is no exception.

I ditched the removable waist strap the second time riding with this. The grip on the back of the bag, and on the padded segment of the strap is more than capable of keeping the bag situated even while pushing the envelope of legality with some spirited riding. Great stick with both leather and textile jackets.

Typically I keep some snacks, map, gps (and mount piece), disk lock and other daily items in here because I hate having stuff in my pockets. The size is perfect for light loads like this. The strap is ridiculously easy to tighten and loosen, making swinging this thing around to the front for gas stops easy. The strap even provides enough space to fit over my helmet. It's big enough to fit a 10 inch tablet pretty easily (put it in a case though), and even fits up to a 12 inch netbook (but this is tight).

I'm struggling to come up with some gripes...
-if for some reason you're wearing this without a leather or textile jacket the back is almost too grippy. The grip will pull your shirt or hoodie up constantly, even while just walking around
-the cube pocket negates all the benefits of the fast adjustment strap.. Really, getting the bag around to access the external zipper pocket is easy enough where the cube pocket isn't necessary, but it's easy to get spoiled by those dang cubes.
-getting into the waterproof section (or even the flap inner zipper) is ergonomically difficult while wearing the bag. If you need to get in the main compartment it's best your remove the bag. Most of your quick access stuff will be in the water-resistant external zip pocket though probably.

Soooo yeah. If you hate stuff in your pockets, want something smaller than a backpack, and like Kriega buy this. It's basically a US 10 for your back.

*bonus benefit for Lefties!! You can switch the strap so the bag hangs to either side. This rocks for those of us easily defeated by right-handed scissors.

Best Kriega Yet
I own a Kriega US-20, 2xUS-10, and a R20. I consider Kriega a top manufacturer and their products to be incredibly well thought out. The sling is the best of the best.

As usual, the fit and finish are great. The strap and inside of the sling are well padded and rubberized to prevent slipping. The top flap is very sturdy, rubberized and very industrial looking. The adjustable strap is brilliant and a great feature to be able to take the bag on and off without struggling through a small opening. I like that the stomach straps are detachable (would have been a deal breaker without the ability to remove those), although a stash pocket somewhere would be nice to stow them away.

Highly recommended.

Small but mighty
The bag is a great size if you are not willing to lug around a backpack but need a place for all your essentials.
No worries in the rain as it is totally water proof and provides quick and easy access to all the items.
I used the Sling Shoulder Bag on a 1000 mile long trip and it was a perfect addition to my luggage. Once positioned the bag never shifted, this without using the waist belt, and within a few feet I would completely forget about the bag being even there.
No pressure on your shoulders or torso.
Easy access to your phone, wallet, maps, glasses, camera or even a thermos and snacks. I wear a two piece leather suit that does not have any pockets and this works great for all the essentials on a trip that one needs easy and quick access to.
As with all Kriega products the materials and workmanship is top notch and it will be a bag that I will be able to use for a very long time. Kriega products are not cheap, but considering the quality and longevity of the product are priced rather fair.
I personally rather enjoy a product that works well and will not let me down for a long time then replacing cheaply made items frequently. I highly recommend this product.

Another great product from Kriega!
Absolutely loving this sling. The fit and finish are just amazing. I love that the backside of the bag and padding on the strap that rests on you are made of this rubber feel material that really acts like extra grip when it's on you. Just the perfect size when carrying the very minimum things. So easy to loosen and re tighten the strap with their design. Haven't seen a design like this before but it works and it works very well. Only concern is the thin rope that they used to connect the thumb securing strap that lets you sinch the strap. It's really thin and looks like it can break easily. Other than that I have nothing to complain about. On short rides I usually like to carry a tire repair kit, bottle of water, wallet, phone and small misc camera gear so this fits the bill well. I have the R20 for my daily commute and am looking forward to doing longer trips which will easily led me to buy more of Kriega's products.

I love Kriega stuff!
I bought this to be my daily backpack for my laptop and work stuff when I ride. I paired it with a Kriega US-5 drypack (easily attached) to form a versatile waterproof carry system for my work things. The pack is very comfortable on your back, the only ding I gave it is that sometimes the strap rides up on your neck a little bit. I like it so much that I even use it when I don't ride to work!

Stupendous piece of gear
This bag is awesome, quality built materials, stylish (at leas for me), practical, water proof and it comes with a ten year warranty.

I have used this on a couple of short moto rides and it has performed as advertised. The strap is designed to be long so that it can fit over bulky moto gear, so if you wear it without gear it seems long but it is not.

The metal pieces are top notch as usual and the strap is made of durable thick, anti slip fabric as is the backing that rests on your back.

If you plan to use this off the bike without moto gear and you are on the short side <5' 7" and may not work as well as it hangs low and it is heavier than it appears.

Also, depending on your intended use it may seem that the capacity is not enough. I mainly got this to transport small items such as cameras, go pro style items, wallet&keys and gloves and sometimes an 11 inch IMac.

Ant the last thing, the price. This bag is expensive, however, once you hold it in your hands you can see and feel the quality. It seems this bike is built to last even at high speeds!

Overall, very satisfied with my purchase, I also own a Kriega US30 so am a fan of this gear. Add a ten year warranty for peace of mind and you can't go wrong.
