Excellent protection features, quality construction
After sweltering thru a 2015 summer road trip, I was motivated to find a satisfactory solution to the heat problem. I had to have crash protection, comfort and a jacket and pant combo that flowed air, and lots of it.
After much searching and watching so much of Anthony's product reviews, I bought the Klim Induction jacket, together with the Klim Voyager Air pants.
After a couple of bobbles getting the sizing right I was well satisfied with the fit and quality of the Klim pants. They are comfortable and have a large mesh section thru the thigh area.
There are three areas where I had MINOR issues with the pants. First, they are heavy. They are heavy because they're built like a tank. I have no doubt that these pants will hold up on an unplanned get-off. I solved the weight issue by using Klim suspenders, which are very comfortable.
Second, the pants have only one pocket. It is on the left leg, I would like to see another one on the opposite side.
Third, I would like to see an expanded use of their knarly mesh fabric. While it is comfortable, I think more use of mesh would translate into more airflow.
All that said, I'm convinced I made the right choice in selecting this Jacket/Pant combo.
One more aside, in previous reviews it is mentioned that the knee pads were not placed properly. I found that while standing the knee pads came to the top of my kneecap. While sitting on the bike, they were perfectly placed. I'm 6'3", 230 and the knee pad placement was a non-issue.
If you're looking for a quality touring pant that will probably outlast you, is comfortable and will flow adequate air even on the hottest days, look no further.

Good fit and well constructed
I bought these at the same time as the Klim Induction Jacket. They both replaced a REVit mesh jacket and pants.

The pants are very well made. The belt line sits just above the hips (I have a 30" inseam). They fit just a bit looser than the REVit pants (I have a 34" waist). Use the Klim sizing tool! The velcro closure around your boots is different (instead of zippers) but it makes for a custom fit. The large slash pocket is handy except it is on the left leg instead of the right. The knee armor hits me about 2/3rds from the top of my knee cap while standing, but is perfect while on the bike (Kawasaki Concours C14 and Triumph Street Triple-R).

Very good air flow.

Update January 12, 2017:

After about 10 rides, the mesh between my hip and knee began to unravel on both legs (opposite side from the tank). This area is touching nothing but wind!
Klim sent me a replacement pair and I had the same problem with the new pair.
Apparently, there is no fix and they are asking for me to choose a substitute from the Klim catalog.

I don't have this problem with the Induction Jacket.

An excellent match for the Induction Jacket
First: sizing. I am 5'9", 190 pounds, and typically wear 38x30 Levi 501 jeans. I had tried on a pair of Klim Latitude pants and Badlands pants at a local motorcycle shop a few months back, and found that the 36's fit me best. That made me think that Klim pants usually fit a bit large. So when the Klim Voyage Air pants came out, I ordered a 36. They were too tight in the waist, so I exchanged them for a 38 which fit perfectly. Btw, the exchange process with Revzilla is immensely easy!

The Voyage Air pants are, in my opinion, the perfect match for the Induction Jacket. The knee and hip armor is the same type (CE1) as the Induction jacket. The air flow is really nice with these pants. It has the same type of sturdy mesh that the Induction jacket has.

The only reason I didn't score the "features" at full value is because even though the knee armor is adjustable vertically, it only adjusts about a half an inch up or down.

I find these pants comfortable!

"Good job" Klim for finally coming out with a pant to go along with the Induction Jacket.

Great pants.
I own many Klim products. I bought these for warm weather touring. I wear a size 36-34 in just about every pant imaginable. In klim products I wear 38 tall. The fit is perfect for me. I like a little extra room for base layers, they give just enough extra room and adjustment to customize your perfect fit.

These are without a doubt the best touring pant I own. Even mo betta than my klim badlands pro's which is saying a lot. Paired with the induction jacket this is a nice year round touring set up for me in South Texas.

Only one complaint, these pants have only one pocket. Like, wtf.

Good Hot weather pants!
I just got through giving these pants a good "shakedown test". Before I took off, I filled up with gas. as Im standing next to the pump, I felt something weird.. It was air blowing through the mesh, and I was standing still pumping gas. So, yeah, air flows through them pretty well! The size was spot on, and they look like they will offer good protection. They go great with the Induction jacket. It was 95 this AM on my ride, and both jacket and pants were flowing air real nice. Im liking this setup for HOT weather.

Love the pants, but knee protection misses
I love KLIM gear and was excited to get these pants. The fit, comfort and appearance are excellent. While I haven't rode in them, I expect the air flow is great too. However, in my opinion, these have one major flaw: the knee pads are too low. I am 5' 7", 165 lbs so on the short side, but the D30 knee pads principally cover my shin and barely make it up to the middle of my knee. The pads need to go OVER my entire knee and they don't do that. They claim to have adjustable knee pads by "hook and loop", and even when adjusted to the "top", they barely make it up to my knee. Tall riders might be happy, but I feel the protection is insufficient and I can't recommend those who value the knee protection. My opinion is the knee pads need to be adjusted up at least 2 more inches. My opinion is you can sort of see this in the video. At the end of the day, since the point of the pants is to provide protection, I can't rate these higher than 2. And I am sorry for that as I love the pants otherwise.

Paired these with Induction Jacket
Very nice fit and feel. Comfortable and very cool in the Texas heat. Minor complaints - there is only one small pocket and the velcro at the bottom of pant legs is cumbersome.

Weird Pants
As the other review said, the knee armor sits low. I ordered the smallest size, 30, and I am 5'11" and the knee armor is about an inch too low. Waist felt true to size.

These are really baggy, they are like a big snowboarding pants, not riding pants, and there is no way this flimsy little knee pad would stay any where close to my knee in a fall. I can twist it around to the back of my leg with the pants on. the "knee pad" is vercrod into a huge pocket and does not inspire confidence in its thickness.

The velcro at the bottom of the pants that goes over the boot is not very strong, and the opening at the bottom of the leg is huge! when i try to make it smaller with the velcro, it doesnt really stick very well. They would be flapping around in the wind.

It does have a lot of mesh.

I returned mine, so i did not actually ride in them, but as soon as I tried these pants on I knew it wasn't gonna work.

Have a functionality, fit, or otherwise product-specific question about the Klim Voyage Air Pants? Ask it here! If you have a customer service or shipping question, please direct it to our Customer Service department.

New for the spring of '16, this is the Voyage Air. It is meant to be the pant that you would pair with the Apex Air Jacket or the Induction Air Jacket. Those are the mesh multi-season jackets from Klim. Again, both of those jackets are two or three seasons, springs, summer, fall. This pant in my estimation is really two season. There's no wind-blocking liner. It's lots of mesh, lots of Cordura, but again, late spring, all summer, early fall. There's no way to turn the air-conditioning off. And if we look at it, relatively lightweight. It's going be around that $400 mark. So it is a bit of a beefy investment, but again you're getting a lot of the technology that Klim is putting in different places in their line, and you're really just gearing it for summer riding seasons.

Now, thinking about the armor? This is one of the things I love and this is one of the things that I'm actually griping about. This is D30 EVO Armor, and if we look at it, it goes in the knee. It's going to be adjustable. These pants actually come in tall size as well. I'm going to talk about that in a second, but it is just the EVO Armor. If you look at something like the Apex, which is going to be the jacket you'd most likely pair with it. That Apex is getting T5 EVO Pro. So it's didn't even more beefed up armor compliment from D30. I wish you went beefed up on these guys as well.

So again, adjustable knees, you got D30 hip armor. I'm very happy to see that, and what I also like from the outside is the Cordura 500D coupled with the carbonite mesh from Klim. Again, that's their beefy bomb proof Kevlar infused mesh. Again, it has a little bit of 3D mesh behind it as well to help it stand up, flowing a tremendous amount of air in through the front, out to the back side of the legs, and that goes all the way down.

So again, when he's got his knees and legs in the riding position, they're not going to ride up too far when he's on his bike. Keep in mind too, I mentioned it earlier, these do come into all sizes. So you have the ability to get those extra inches on the inseam, mutant size, no surprise there.

Now, diving to the pant itself. We've talked about mesh. We talked about the textile. We talked about the Armor. Let's talk about the knees. They are Keratin leather which is a pit's arts material. It's ceramic infused goat, and it breathes. Notice that on both of your impact gears over top of your D30 adjustable armor.

I like what they've done on all the latest climb pants too is they've covered your buttons. So again, you're not exposing those buttons. You're not going to...you're not going to mar your tank if you get close to your paint. I will say this, though, something like the Apex, which is the big brother jacket for this pant. That is going to have a removable windbreaker liner. It allows you to tone down the airflow and stretch it into maybe mid-spring, maybe a little bit of earlier fall, a little further in the fall. For four bones, I wish they would have included some wind-breaking liner. But again, that's a nitpick for me.

We're talking about the D30 hip armor that come stocked. We talked about up towards the top that adjustability. As your work your way down, remember it doesn't have the bubble butt. Klim solved the bubble butt. They did it by offering you the stretch panel now that allows things to move with you while you're seated, but also stay in the right place without that bubble butt while you are standing up. Backside of the cuff is going to it lighter weave mesh, again in a less impact prone area, and notice they use that 500D Cordura across the street, which...across the seat, which is really going to be the area that's going to take the most abuse if you go down.

On the back side, you're going to see, there's plenty of room for adjustability. One of the things I really like here to gave the Cordura on the inside of the cuff, too. So again, if you have boots that have big heavy buckles, they're not going to wear these pants out from the inside out. Notice from the side here, you do have some pockets that are worked in for additional functionality, and the last thing is up here towards the side. You're going to have a standard length zip that goes around the back. You're going to have...no matter what size pants or jacket you buy, you have the ability to easily connect them together with the standard length zip which is something Klim is finally adjusted.

So remember, Induction Air, Apex Air, this is the Voyage Air Pant. They are the two jackets that you'd pair for it. Don't have a lot of gripe, other than I want this. I want to see them beef up the armor protection for this price point in the next generation, but all in you're using bomb proof, mesh, real deal Cordura. And you're giving yourself the adjustability in that new armor. So it's going to be a rock solid option for two season hot weather riding, sport touring, sport commuting, multi-season touring, again blacked out. It's going to fit the bill.
