Cornering at night has just changed forever!
This light is amazing I love it!
The videos online just do not do it justice, it’s so much better. Cornering at night has just changed forever! The adaptive 2 lives up to its name on either low or high beam. Expensive? Maybe but should you put a price on your own safety? All the gear and experience in the world won’t help you if you can’t see where your going, it’s just that simple. It’s a plug and play installation. I can highly recommend the J.W. Speaker Adaptive 2 LED Headlight.

An absolute must have!
If you do any night riding, this light is a must have. I've had this light for exactly 2 months and I honestly don't know how I ever rode without it. I ride frequently at night and in areas where running a cross a heard of deer is common. The low beam is far brighter than the OEM headlight on high beams but has a crisp cutoff line thanks to the projectors so as to not blind on coming traffic. The dual fire high beams are insanely bright (not a complaint), on the backroads at night I can clearly see everything as if it were still daylight. The adaptive lights work well giving you a lot more confidence going into long corners. In all honesty this light is better than the lights in my car (HID projectors). Don't look at the high price tag and say "ehh not worth it", the $500 for the light is a lot less than what its going to run you for hitting a deer plus it looks great. People regularly compliment the light. The only possible con I see it when you flip the kill switch on, the light does a visor patterned sequence (like the red light on Knightrider's hood). This may annoy some of you but it lights up every light independently so you can see that all the lights are functioning correctly.

My Headlamps Go Up To 11
Full Disclosure: I purchased from Motodemic directly, not RevZilla. Prices and shipping from both vendors were about the same. Keep in mind that you likely cannot buy from J.W. Speaker directly, and will need to purchase from a retailer. Also, if you see anything like these at a significantly lower price point, they are likely counterfeit knockoffs that will not perform to the same standards, will lack adaptive function completely, and will probably end up failing on you when you need them most.

I installed a pair of J.W. Speaker headlamp modules onto a Triumph Thunderbird Storm (one adaptive, one standard). The adaptive has a higher price tag, so I didn't see the sense in buying two of them as a matched set when one of them would fill in the corners just fine. That said... the lights work GREAT. The low beam puts out light in just the right pattern to fully illuminate the road, and the high beam will light up the shoulders, overhead signs, the International Space Station, and likely the dark side of the moon. Perhaps that's a slight exaggeration, BUT... the high beam does a great job of illuminating nearly everything you'd be concerned about on a motorcycle.

For daylight riding, these offer excellent visibility. The dispersal pattern is very wide, and the nearly white light stands out among most other DRL equipped machines on the road. It should be more of a challenge for other drivers to lose track of your bike with these shining in their mirrors or into oncoming traffic. The high beam transitions quickly, making these headlights very effective as passing signal lamps also.

The price is, as some have noted, considerable. However, this is not a 'bulb' replacement. This is a life-of-the-machine upgrade. Once fitted, you will likely never have to fiddle with your headlight buckets ever again. I did note some difficulty with the trim rings on my Storm, but that's more an inherent design 'feature' from Triumph, and not due to the headlamp itself. If you go with a straight lamp assembly that lacks headlamp connectors, you'll have to do some wiring, which raises the difficulty. However, Motodemic units have connectors fitted that jack straight into your headlamp socket AND your parking lamp circuit.

Safety upgrade for night riding!
I've owned JW Speaker headlights on a few vehicles in the past and when I heard about the tech that they incorporated into thier Adaptive motorcycle headlights, I had to pick one up.

I installed this on my 2017 Yamaha FZ07 using Motodemic brackets and a 5.75 headlight bucket. Install was relatively easy. One thing to note is that the lean angle lights don't really work while the bike is stationary, forward motion is needed. Has a very cool start-up sequence!

Once adjusted and on the road at night, it became apparent that this light was worth every penny! Low beam is nice and wide (although admittedly didn't quite have the throw distance of the stock halogen). High beam is fantastic and throws light wayyy down the road. Hitting the high beam against a wall shows that at least one of the projectors is a dedicated spot beam that goes for distance. The turns now are amazing. As you lean, it's as if the light presents the road ahead perfectly and there's no more wondering what's around the corner. On a back road with the high beam on and the adaptive lights working, it's just as good as riding at daytime!

If the low beam was just a little brighter, I'd give it 5 stars but I had to give it 4 because I know JW Speaker can do better but overall, this is a fantastic upgrade and it greatly increases safety and confidence for night riding.
