Hotwired Heated Gloves

The Hotwired Heated Gloves are the complete package. Combination leather and 600D textile fabric outer construction cuts through the wind and provides abrasion protection.

Standalone heated gloves have the advantage of less layers than heated liners under gloves, allowing you to keep your finesse on the controls. A built-in three level heat controller means you don’t need to purchase a temperature controller separately, and that if you combine these gloves with the pre-wired Hotwired Heated Jacket Liner 2.0 and its designated controller, you have independent control over the level of your gloves in relation to the jacket liner.

Features:

  • 600d abrasion resistant fabric and leather combination
  • Brushed fabric lining with comfort insulation
  • Use independently with direct battery harness or use in conjunction with a Hotwired Jacket Liner with pre-installed wiring system
  • Built-in temperature controller with 3 push button settings
  • Automatic temperature cut off
  • Reflective piping
  • Pull through wrist strap
  • Cuff adjustment tab
  • Approximately 22 Watts/2 Amps at 12 Volts
  • Two year warranty

These gloves come as a "complete package". No separate controller or wiring is required; works right out of the box. [However, I keep my bike on a battery tender, so I got one of those 'coax to SAE' adapters so I can connect these gloves on my existing SAE outlet.]
I can pretty much "cold-proof" every part of my body except my fingers, and that is why I was particularly interested in these gloves.
Do they work? Absolutely. I used these when it was 27 degrees (F) at high speeds, and the medium setting was more than warm enough for me. This morning was 35 degrees, I commuted at 70 mph for 45 minutes at the minimum setting, and it felt just right. I have yet to use it on the maximum setting...can't even imagine how cold it has to be for me to set it on that.
Now for the downsides... These gloves are extremely thick. They are thicker than the average ski/snowboarding gloves. It takes some effort to manipulate controls... your fingers may get caught on the brake/clutch levers or you might hit wrong buttons when trying to set turn signals (especially on a Harley), for example.
These gloves are very stiff. It takes some muscle to even make a fist. I usually keep my hands open with my fingers resting on the brake and clutch levers due to the stiffness. Hopefully, they wear in after some use.
Also, since these gloves are stiff, when you bend your fingers, your fingertips don't touch the heated (top side) part of the glove and will start to freeze. To remedy that, open your hands and let the tips touch. Again, I'm hoping the gloves will break in and loosen up over time.
Despite the 'cons' (which is common with any heated glove), these gloves are worth it. They do the job at a... fair price. I still think they are pricey, but there are other heated gloves out there, and most of them require extra accessories to work, and you'll probably end up spending more. I recommend these gloves for people like me...who can warm any part of the body except hands (who don't need heated jacket, socks, pants, etc.).

GREAT Heat; Somewhat Cumbersome
I ride year-round in North Carolina Durham-Chapel Hill Area and have used the Venture AddHeat gloves with the batteries in the glove. One of the batteries died and it's pretty expensive ust to get the batteries so I decided to step up to a pair of gloves that connected directly to the battery.

I tried on the Gerbing gloves and loved the fit of them but the fact you have to pay extra for the controller and can't control them from the gloves themselves was a major turn off. These gloves were a good price and had the hook up unit with it and are easily controlled from the gloves (on/off, high/medium/low heat).

These gloves provide a LOT of good heat. I was surprised that they had so much more than the battery on-board versions. I had to use the throttle glove on medium heat and the clutch side on high in 27 degree weather the other day. They are great and easy to install (i just ran the cords through the liner of my jacket and keep it there for easy access). The only drawback is that they are VERY cumbersome but I'm hoping they will break in some since they are leather.. It will definitely increase your hand strength and I typically wear a large and had to get an extra large in these gloves. Otherwise I definitely recommend them for people who are winter riders and are thinking of these gloves (especially for the price).

Must have gloves for a winter rider. Rode in 30 degree weather and hands were toasty. No controller required, the button on glove has 3 heat settings (each having its own color) making it very easy to adjust and monitor while riding

Warm +++++
Separate control on gloves is great. Very warm and your hands will not get cold. Gloves are large. Order size smaller.

Do the Hotwired heated gloves come with a battery harness? Or do I need to buy that separately? Can't find mention of it on the website. Thanks

BEST ANSWER: Hoteired gloves come with battery harness! Got these for my husband, and he had them hooked to the battery in under 10mins. He loves them!
