great sytle, great fit, poor durability
These shoes were awesome, for about 4 months, and then (as you can see pictured) the clutch shoe fell apart. First the lace broke and so be it, I put in an extra white lace that Dainese supplied...as well I rerouted the laces so as not to have the lace his my clutch and wear like previous. Eventually the extra leather that goes over the lace and eyelet area (to protect them) from the clutch tore from the stitching giving way. Also you can see the inside of the sole is white and "scuffed" looking from the factory, which is a cool style, but only a few months of sun exposure turned them yellow. Granted I live in AZ but still not something I would expect in 4 months times.

I still have the shoes and ride them occasionally. But I have pretty much retired them after buying some A-Stars boots.

To be clear, I love the look, the fit, and the protection...they are excellent in all these areas but at the end of the day durability is what matters most, and so if they can't last at least a year I just can't give them more than a star.

Initially Impressed but now dissapointed
Purchased these shoes about a year ago and was initially impressed with the looks, firmness of the sole and ankle protection. I did find the sizing to be a little on the small side (I bought a 43 but could have gone up to 44) but overall they looked to be a well made pair of shoes. Unfortunately however, since then and after relatively low use and barely broken in, they are already falling apart in two places - both on the right boot around the edge of the exterior perforated section on the inner ankle side of the boot - This section of perforated suede material it turns out is very flimsy. The TCX Jupiter shoes I had previously wore much better with much higher usage but I guess they were not perforated, so the integrity wasn't weakened.

Junk Quality
I've had these for about a month, with normal use. Seam tore on the back heal of the right shoe for no reason.

I've done nothing that would have caused this from abnormal or improper use. Just plain ripped (about a two inch hole showing padding underneath).

Poor Quality
I have had these shoes for under a year and the shifter on my bike put a hole in them. I spent less time on my bike than ever before putting maybe 500 miles on these due to a crazy work schedule. there is almost no wear on the sole. If they were at least as comfortable as a normal shoe I wouldn't mind and just wear them around, but these are like walking barefoot just way too hard. Don't be fooled by the Dainese logo these fall WAY short of their usual quality.
For me these are just way too much for what you get and not nearly durable enough. Regular skate shoes would probably last longer.

Good, not great
Airflow is great, protection offered is very good. These are CE level 2 for abrasion and impact/puncture resistance, CE level 1 for torsional rigidity. They look great and are more comfortable to walk in than regular riding boots. Fit is spot on, too.

The only thing I have from keeping them from having a perfect score is the heel box. It feels like it only comes up half as high as I'd expect, and so it digs into the widest part of my heel. This causes irritation when in the riding position, and then makes walking afterward uncomfortable. I'm not sure how that design made it past all of the approvals, but it's a big miss on this shoe. As I've already worn them, I'm crossing my fingers that they'll break in and become more comfortable.

Good shoe riding shoe if you don't walk far
Good shoe which I wear daily for commuting with decent protection for what it is around town riding. Would not recommend wearing these if I was going on the motorway/highway. I did have a head on crash and flew off the bike with these on and they did the job and had no injuries to feet.

The only issue I have had with build is the stitching on the tongue had worn out in less than a year (occurred before the crash).

The shoe is quite comfortable if you don't intend on walking long distances. I did have to walk a long distance out of necessity in these shoes and the back of my heel got chaffed.

I would've recommended this shoe if the stitching held up.

Great style but small
Great shoe for riding around the city and to wear around the office. Order a size bigger than normal. Very narrow shoe and thought my little toe would break off in my regular sized shoe. One size up and they fit great

Comfortable, cool summer shoe.
Just got these a few weeks ago, been wearing them on every ride. The shoe is quite stiff at first but breaks in very well and feels just like a normal high top sneaker afterwards. Protection is noticeable in the ankle and heel but doesn't hinder comfort as a shoe you wan walk around in!

Like a beefed-up pair of Chucks.
I was a little worried that the size 46 wouldn't fit my size 12 wide feet. Turns out those worries were unfounded, happily. There were a couple of hotspots during the first ~15 hours of wearing them, mainly on the right side heel area where they weren't quite wide enough for my heel. They broke in after a couple days wearing them to work, and are quite comfortable now, however I'd caution against driving cars in them as the way your foot sits in them can still cause issues with the armor on the heel. Using them for their intended purpose solves that issue well.

The styling is pretty good, although I kinda don't like the tread pattern on the sole (could be more unique, kinda looks like a set of jail-issue Keds or something) or the fact that the sides of the sole come pre-distressed like you dropped the bike in an oil patch on both sides of your foot. I'm kinda hoping that'll wear off eventually.

Comfort wise, once they break in they're quite comfortable as long as you aren't trying to wear them while driving a car. There is plenty of protection where you need it (except for the lack of a shift panel, as mentioned in the video review) and they flow enough air to keep my feet cool in 90 degree southwest US heat. They're definitely more comfortable than what I use for wet-weather riding, which is a pair of Wolverine steeltoe work boots, and they cut down on having feet that would make a troll cringe at 40' when I get home.

The only things I'd change about this shoe would be the tread pattern (c'mon Dainese, at least throw a logo down there or something :D) and the initial shape of the heel armor, although I'm sure that'll wear to be where I need it soon enough. Oh, and I'd probably add the red/black scheme to the D-WP version of this shoe, because why doesn't it come in that to begin with.

The other reviews are correct :(
I needed well vented shoes as my usual boots were killing me in the Los Angeles Spring/summer. Read all the reviews about the quality of the workmanship but since i own other Dainese gear i thought they were exaggerating. They were not...

Look: They look AWESOME, no complains there, these look fantastic, stylish, cool, just great.
Safety: No crashes yet but they are solid and have good heel, ankle, sole protection. I do feel safe in them.
Vent: excellent, you can feel the breathability when you ride.
Comfort/fit: Here's a tricky one, like the other reviews, these shoes are definitely VERY narrow. Lucky for me, I don't have wide fit, so once they're in, they're pretty comfortable, took a while to break in but they're ok. It's VERY complicate to get them in, you basically have to loosen up the laces every single time, so it takes at least 3 mins every day to get them on. If you have wide fit, I cant imagine these being comfortable or even fitting at all.
QUALITY: Here's the problem, and i'm shocked because i'm a loyal dainese fan.I've had these now for a month exactly, daily use. They are, in fact, as the otehr reviews mentioned, falling apart already. They must've used silk or spider web for stitching, but the stitching is already falling apart on two spots. The wear on the gear shift area is noticeable too, but meh, not worried about that. But i have NEVEr owned a shoe that started falling apart after one month.
Sad cause I really like these, AND need them, but for such an expensive shoe to have such flimsy stitching is just embarrassing. A beautiful shoe, that I simply can't recommend. :(
