Nice compromise for a sporty pant that's not meant for the track.
I was concerned about buying Dainese because they typically have a very slim fit and that's not my body type. I was pleased to find these pants have a very relaxed fit. My problem was deciding on the proper size to buy. My waist is 42.5, hip 44.5, inseam 31.5. According to the size chart if I went by waist size I should get a size 60, if by hip a size 56, if by inseam a size 48. I tried to pick an average middle ground and chose a size 56. The 56 was actually loose at my stomach when I buttoned it, the seat was just right & comfortable, the legs were just a little long but the knee armor fit well. Love the knee & shin protection. Also, I have Alpinestars SMX boots which have a pronounced hump for shin protection... the pants were able to zip up around them at the bottom with no problem and those long Dainese shin protectors tuck just a little inside the top of my boot but don't cause a problem. With the thermo liner in place, the seat area was just a little tighter but still comfortable, and not much of a change in fit in all the other areas. Really like these pants, they look great, and offer good protection for a non-track pant. I ride sport touring (BMW R1200RT & K1200S). It's a chunk of coin to buy these, but after a few years fly by, the pain in my pocket will have long faded.

Overpriced, Great pants w/ poorly engineered features
These pants are great when you need to ride through a light to moderate rain storm (With out the Rainproof INNER liner), or if you ever go down (From a protection standpoint). In both arena's these pants are excellent. Also if you need to ride through a monsoon w/ the inner rain proof liner you will be on top of the world in these pants.
I did loan these pants with the matching top to a family member who went down low side, the grazed a guard rail lifted back up hi sided and flipped and rolled ect... at about 65mph and he bounced back up mili seconds after he hit the ground with out a scratch head to toe and with only a bruise on his ass check, which is the primary purpose of these pants. But the negative is that for all the times you ride in them that you are not crashing lol and need them to be comfortable welll...... they are to a degree with out the thermal liner or the rain proof liner in them they are rather comfortable with the exception that the ankles tend to ride up on a sport bike causing a draft up the leg and the leg from the knee down is just formed to slender it would be nice to see the same exact pants just cut to be a bit more boot cut and wider from the bottom of the knee to the ankle. The bad news, first the rain proof liner only sits inside the thermal liner and attaches to it i.e. if it is warmer than 55-65F and all that leather is enough temp protection but alas it's still raining and you don't want to get soaked, guess what! bummer now you get to sweat your freaking balls off because! you can't actually wear the rain proof freaking liner with out! the thermal liner! in which cause you're still going to be drenched from underneath the rainproof liner from sweating like you're in a sauna. Hey big applause for the freaking dianese design team
*(idiots)* (I only call them idiots because of how freaking much money these pants and the jacket costs) and guess what there is absolutely NO! way to attach the rain proof liner to the actual paints with out the thermal liner, in fact the rain proof liner doesn't even come up to the waist line of the actual pants and the front of the rain proof liner is actually a big wad of material that you have to stuff into your crotch when the pants and thermal are done up and stops about as high up as normal jeans zipper would start.
And if you need to ride in a 33F-55F torrential Downpour for hours and hours and hours on end, then you will be will protected from the temp. weather and protection, but only under these specific circumstances when you need to wear the pants, the thermal liner and the rainproof liner. But in doing so, unfortunately you will feel like you are literally climbing into a lunar landing space suit. I'm not joking when the pants and two liners are all put together the pants literally stand up under their own power lol and you basically have to lay down and slide yourself into them like a turkey into an oven bag :) and the same pants that fit perfectly with out any liners now feels about 5 sizes too small and you feel like you're wearing a body cast already (I guess so you can avoid wearing one if you go down) But me personally I don't want to wear $1,500
worth of gear every time I ride amounting to months or years in what feels like I'm in a body cast just so that I don't spend a couple months in a body cast in case I ever go down.

Great pants - wish they were a snugger fit.
I like these pants a lot. Super comfortable, protective and extremely convenient (rain protection and good ventilation). For me the only downside is the fit which is exactly as described. Loose and baggy. If they ever make a sport or sport touring version I will have found my perfect pant.

Just what I was looking for
I've wanted a pair of leather pants since I saw Axl in the Paradise City video after school one day. These are great because they are high quality leather, smartly designed, and they're on the baggy side. The last thing is important to me because I like to feel like I can move and it helps with air flow. I'm not a big fan of liners but they seem like they're OK and they're easy to put in and remove. It's important to mention the knee pads have attached shin guards that reach down most of the shin and may interfere with your boots. They did with mine and I was afraid the pads would rub on the boots and wear a hole in the lining so I bought some short boots. As far as I can tell, the knee pads are not adjustable but they are contoured in a way that has them find the right spot - I think the loose-ish lining helps this happen. They look awesome, feel awesome, and could probably survive a crash or two. Fair price.

Comfort and Protection
Very comfortable and stylish pants especially when combined with some Klim suspenders (nylon clasps don't damage the leather). Knee/shin pads stay in place. Would like to see a bit more protection in the hip area. Vents are easy to open and flow quite a bit of air. Only one ride in moderate rain so far - stayed dry and comfortable. Overall, very pleased with these pants.
