Perfect bag for commuting
I was looking for a small bag that was an easy on easy off for some basics when commuting to work and this definitely fit the bill. Its sleek design and size make it a prefect fit for my tank and although I do make use of the safety strap for the steering column in case the magnets fail, in 2 months of riding with this bag has not moved while riding! The zipper to expand to 10L has even come in handy to allow a little more space when needed. Finally, I worry when throwing a wallet or checkbook in due to the power of the magnets but they provide two small pockets on the zip top that keep the magnetic stripes on my cards from sitting on the magnets and getting wiped out. Excellent purchase for day to day use while commuting.

Excellent Size Just What I Was Looking For!
Thank you to Revilla Customer Rep Peter H for the email with recommendations on tank bags we discussed. I told him I wasn't looking for something huge but I also wanted something that would hold a hat, keys and other items I haven't thought of yet. I don't want to ride with a backpack all the time and this is a great resolution.

The magnets hold well at normal highway speeds (just took it for a blast) and it does come with the tether strap. Undecided if I am going to use the strap yet. I extended the bag fully and could probably fit a pair of a jeans and a shirt in this bag. I think the size is perfect for my everyday riding and it looks great on my 899!

Quality of the bag looks on par. The zippers are of high quality and overall it looks like it will hold up to riding. I guess only time will tell but for the price point I am very happy with it so far!

Thank you Revzilla for FAST shipping and to Peter H for the recommendations! Team Revzilla delivers yet again! Customer for life!

Impressed
Just got one of these for my 08 KLR 650. The main thing you need to know is, it fits! Unfortunately, I did not get it from Revzilla because I wanted to make sure it fit on the bike. KLR owners will know that it is hard to find a magnetic bag that will fit the magnetic wings between the fairing and the tank. This one will work! Fits well and looks very good. If you are a KLR owner looking for the perfect tank bag for your bike, get this one from Revzilla. Zipped up it is out of the way, and expanded it has enough room for what you want to bring for the day. Keys, wallet, phone, ect. I love mine!

Great bag for ADV bikes
This is a great bag for all the reasons cited elsewhere PLUS one thing I couldn't find mentioned - it works great if you spend a lot of time standing on the pegs. The low profile and narrow shape mean I can still keep my knees on the bike and get way forward on climbs (DL650). Can also buy extra map pockets very inexpensively, so can load several in advance and change out quickly on the road. This bag just plain works.

Excellet bag from Cortech
This bag is exactly what I wanted. I needed something small and magnetic to slap on the bike that I can use to take my lunch, disc lock, and other junk to work. It's the perfect size, with an expansion zipper and tons of pockets. My phone's touch screen even works under the clear plastic of the phone pocket.

Works like it should
I use the bag on my 1988 Honda Hawk and its magnets hold the tank sides well with no slippage, be sure the bag bottom and sides and tank are clean when applying. There's a strap and plastic clip as a safety device which is good insurance. The bag removes easily for access to the gas tank. The bag sits low and flat when un-expanded and expands easily to its full size when needed. The expansion zipper stays out of the way until used. The interior is roomy and lined. I haven't used the permanently attached rain cover, but did open it and it seems to function ok, it rolls back into an external front zippered sleeve when not in use. The map pocket won't hold a 8.5" map or sheet, you'll have to fold your map to fit it. All in all a good bag, does its job and stays low and out of the way for short trips while offering a good bit of storage when needed.

Wouldn't have lived (happily) without it!
The bag is excellent. I used it on my 3500-mile trip back in August and I don't know how I would have survived without this bag. I used it in its compact form most of the time, but occasionally had to expand it to its full capacity. This is a perfect bag for small items -- but it can hold a lot. If you have a metal tank, I would suggest getting the magnetic bag for your convenience. However, keep in mind that if you have debris between the bag and the tank (like I had sand) it can do some very minor damage (Scratches) to your tank if you're not careful in taking it off. If you're curious I ran into a sandstorm in AZ and the bag held up great!

Had great luck with last Cortech bag,and needed magnetic bag for new bike
Z. R. M on May 24, 2017
I bought this bag because I needed storage. This bag has been amazing. I use this bag everyday. The quality is second to none. The waterproof cover works just as expected. I would recommend this to anyone. The only thing I would do differently is I would go the strap version instead of the magnet version only because it is more adaptable to any application and can even be used as a tail bag with some manipulation.
anthony f on May 19, 2017

Paul C on May 17, 2017
I am trying to find a tank bag that will work with my bike. The FZ10 has plastic on the tank that interferes with the magnets on most tank bags. This one looks compact enough to possibly get around the issue.

About to purchase the strap mount version, how easy is it to mount to a plastic tank?
Tristan R on Mar 8, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I put on my "15 R1 took about 15 mins to route the straps around the steering head and get it on the bike and adjusted. Once that is over is easy on off in less than 1 min
What are the dimensions of the bag (length x width x height)?
James M on Nov 6, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Length = 15" (exterior including rain cover compartment on front); interior would be a couple inches shorter

Width = 9" exterior

Height = 4.5" when un-expanded (5 liter size) exterior

Height = 8" when expanded (10 liter size) exterior

I have the magnetic version and it has "arms" on each side that contain magnets, they're 3" at their max ... the bottom also contains magnets and the bag stays put very well...
Is this a good fit for my yamaha fz 07?
A shopper on Oct 7, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Depends on what way you will mont it on by if your bike has a metal tank you can get the magnet on the bag or the straps on the bag for if u dont have a metal tank
I bought this for my new Honda Grom which is still at my dealers for winter storage.is it going to be to long.?
A shopper on Jan 21, 2016
BEST ANSWER: The base of the bag is 8.5 inches wide and 13 inches long with the magnetic wings folded under. With the bag laying on a flat surface and the wings folded out, the width is 14.5 inches. The unexpanded height is 4.5 inches. I bought the bag for its low profile. I use it on a Suzuki GSX S1000. The magnets are very strong and the quality is very good. I'm totally satisfied with the bag but I have no idea if it will fit on a Grom.
Does it fit a ninja 250?
A shopper on May 20, 2017
BEST ANSWER: If it has a metal gas tank then yes it will fit.
Does the Cortech 2.0 Low Profile bag have a small hole in it that a phone charger cord goes through, so as not to have it caught up in zipper closure?
A shopper on Oct 11, 2016
BEST ANSWER: It does not. You would have to lace it through the zipper. But if you are putting your phone in the detachable clear thing on top, it's sealed with Velcro, so you could line it through there pretty easily if you plan on putting your phone in there.
Will the bag hold an extra visor?
David A on Apr 22, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I can only speak for a Shoei RF1200 and a Shoei GT Air visor. They are about the same size and neither one will fit with the bag collapsed. It is close but not quite tall enough. However, either visor will easily fit withe the bag expanded.
Can the map flap be removed?
Javier M on Jul 16, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Yes ,but why.i put my I--phone in map pocket and use it for my gps.if an emergency arises I can see alerts instantaneous. I have the Oem Yamaha bag ,very nice bag I will use for touring but this little bag is perfect for day drips
Does this bag come with a shoulder strap?
