Great product
The Burly slammer shocks helped me get a much deeper stance on my XL 1200v Sporty. The ride is a little stiff at first but it seems they have broken in and I don't really notice the difference between the stock 11.5'' shocks and these. I highly recommend these and gave me the ride height I needed to get flat footed with a bend in my knees. Buy these you wont regret it.

Better than stock shocks for less money
I love these shocks. Installed in under an hour. They ride better than factory shocks and help give my iron 883 a nice look. Definitely recommend getting them.

Positive side note: wife wont bitch about how much you spent on them because they are way cheaper than other shocks.

Burly Slammer Shocks on 2011 Iron
I received my Burly Slammer Shocks today and installed them. It seriously took no longer than 30 mins and that with the unboxing and preparation of my bike. Great looking shocks and I love that the logo is optional (stickers). I currently have them on the stock setting and they are smooth and absorbent not stiff at all like I expected them to be.

Overall great product for a fair price.

They will make my bike lower and the Bible says in Matthew 28:20 "and LO, I am with you always" ! Since I want The Lord to ride with me, I'm gettin LOW!
Steve C on May 15, 2015
It was recommended by a friend of mine who has a pair of them too, also my local HD dealership recommended this size of shocks

I'm a shorter rider and hopefully I can be fully flat footed after installing these shocks.

How does this affect two up riding? Will the fender rub the tire with a passenger on the back?
A shopper on Dec 17, 2014
BEST ANSWER: So does anyone have a comment to this question? I want to buy a set, but not if it hurts the 2 up riding.
Does anyone know if an aftermarket kickstand is needed after this install?
Corey H on Feb 28, 2016
BEST ANSWER: No need if you only do the rear shocks.
Does the Burly vanity label come off? or can it be flipped backwards to not be a flyby billboard?
A shopper on Apr 2, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Actually those are stickers that come separate from the shocks, its up to you if you want to put them on.
im a shorter rider, about 5' 6, will these springs lower the bike enough to be have my feet flat on the floor?
A shopper on Sep 21, 2014
BEST ANSWER: Yeah, I'm 5'4 and I can touch the ground with them.
I'd love to drop the rear of my 2016 iron . I'd like to know if the rear tire will support two up rides without rubbing???
Ghostdog on Oct 20, 2015
BEST ANSWER: 2008 sportster 1200R does not rub !! how ever the spring and shock travel are short !! looks great on bike but you lose an 1" of travel so every once in while you will hit a pot hole and your back spine to your teeth will feel it !!
I hope this is helpful ive put 2500 miles on this shock and wish I could afford air ride. good bang for the buck. keep the rubber down.
Will these cause a '16 48 to bottom out two up?
Javier R on May 10, 2017
BEST ANSWER: I put these on my 16 Street Bob Dyna and if I adjust them all the way up I don't have a problem when I ride 2up, then I adjust them down when I ride solo. They ride just fine and I like the look of my bike lowered, not to mention it is easier to chill at a street light since I'm only 5'10
Will these bottom out two up riding on a '16 48?
Javier R on May 10, 2017
BEST ANSWER: I have a 2013 48 and I weigh 240 pounds with my girlfriend wieghing 150 pounds and they work great. They look good with the all black look and while the difference is suttle it defiantly gives it the true Bobber stance it deserves
Hi. Are these the right shocks to slam my 883 iron? And if so can you still carry pillion
A shopper on May 5, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Yes they will work as far as looks go.. but if you do any riding over 200 pounds. they will bottom out..
Can the Burly vanity label be removed or shock flipped to hide the obnoxious logo? I'm not a paid advertisement.
A shopper on Apr 2, 2015
BEST ANSWER: The stickers were in the box on mine, not on the shock.
I've got a 2015 iron 883. About how many inches does this lower the rear opposed to the regular lowering brackets?
