Dont trust the size chart!
I like the style of these gloves, and the build quality is excellent. Also the connect finger works well with my cellphone screen (Samsung Galaxy S7).

I am knocking 2 stars off my rating because 1.) the manufacturer doesn't know how to size their own gloves, and 2.) because Revzilla did not verify the sizing of these gloves themselves before putting the size chart up on their website. I love Revzilla, but they need to get on quality control.

I kept them thinking they would "break in" but they haven't, and according to Revzillas return policy I cant return them (have to remove the tags to use them, need time for break in.)

May largest hand is 8.75 according to the measuring method, so I ordered a LG expecting a slightly loose fit. Instead the gloves are so small they cause constant pain. They are so tight I cant flex my pinky finger so that cramps up on longer rides. Also the seams inside the gloves leave horrible marks for hours where they cut into my skin. The seam next to my index finger tries to lift my nail out of its bed.

For $100 the size chart should be accurate, otherwise why even have the chart in the first place?

Excellent Short Cuff Gloves
I got this after the beginning of the riding season to replace my old SMX gloves for summer riding - my 4th pair of A* gloves (SMX, Apex, Jet Road). I guess once I found something that fits, I stick with it.

First thing first - the sizing and fitment. Many complains about fitment. Don't buy this if you meaty hands with sausages for fingers, this is not for you. I have a slim built with long skinny fingers. A* medium fits me perfectly. In "American sized" gloves, a small would fit but my fingers are too long; a medium would be too wide across my knuckles.

Glove itself is very well built. Took a good week or 2 to break it in. Once it's broken in, it fits, well, like a glove. Very ergonomic and comfortable. All the protection and features are well reviewed by Anthony's video.

But I will call out one feature that I appreciate the most - the design around the thumb and the thought put into it is worth every dollar, IMO. The extra textured padding to improve grip, padding on top of the thumb for impact protection, and the stretchy panel between thumb and index finger for comfort when opening your hand/extending thumb.

Extra protection on the pinky and pinky side of the hand is great, too. Wish there is a bridge between pinky and ring finger but that's minor.

Overall a very good and sturdy glove.

Great Glove
Overall, these are a really nice glove. Comfortable and seem to give decent airflow. Only small complaint is the sizing is a little long in the fingers for me, but this is a common problem as I have short fingers. Otherwise, seriously comfortable and nice looking glove.

High quality overall but questionable fit
I have not had these gloves long enough to fully rate their performance. My main reason for this review is to comment on the sizing.

As is clearly noted in the listing, these Alpinestar gloves are sized using European sizing. I normally wear a medium glove in US sizes and following both the Revzilla sizing video recommendations and the size measurement instructions on the product page, I ended up choosing a large in this glove.

To further elaborate on my hands size, if you are a golfer, you may know that golf gloves come in a wider range of sizes. There are actually three medium sizes in golf gloves (Medium, Medium Large, and Medium Cadet). I usually where a Medium Cadet...meaning my hand is medium but my fingers are fairly short. Note that my fingers, though shorter, are not thick like sausages.

These gloves in large size fit tighter than I would like through the hand and the fingers are not as supple and flexible as I would like (yes, they may loosen up as I wear them). The glove's finger length for my left hand is almost ideal for my shorter fingers, but in my right hand, the index finger is about 1/8" longer.

Ordering these on line, my sample size is obviously one, so it may be that I have received a pair that is just a tad smaller than normal for them, so consider my experience as you see fit (pardon the pun).

The styling, quality and (as far as I can tell) protection provided is all very good. I am looking forward to wearing them this spring and summer and will provide an update after I've had more grip time with them.

a good glove but def small
Moving up from my thin leather summer gloves, I bought these for more protection.

I like the protection level although these are a little more expensive than I usually go for.

Typically wear a medium, but returned for a large.

Awkward sizing or awkward hands
As with the other reviews, I do love the style and protection of these gloves. Based on the other reviews I upsized on fit when ordered to a large. Across the palm is great, but fingers are a tad long. The main issue is the RIGHT glove feels smaller than the left. From snugness of pulling it on through the wrist over my hammock to the index and middle finger feeling like the blood is getting closed off when gripped around the throttle. Like two different gloves. I would have returned but I thought it was just new glove tightness hoping it would stretch out with use. So far still uncomfortable. Sucky. They're not cheap enough to shelf.

Great gloves...pricey but worth it
These are great gloves. Very comfortable and the ventilation is great. They are expensive but very well made and I hope they will last. Be warned, they do come small. I usually wear a large, I got these in an XL and they are snug. They should loosen up with time.

Good knuckle protection, medium lateral hand and heel protection, wish this was beefier. I wanted a short cuff for warm summer riding. I also like the index finger works on the phone touch screen.

I liked the style. When I got it in, the fit did not disappoint, except that there is a little extra space around the cuff that I am not stoked on. I am hoping that it will conform a bit more as the fabric/leather breaks in.
